- Let's talk about recipe organization. We all collect recipes from magazines, on line and from friends. We don't want to lose the ones we love but organizing them with the hope to ever find that recipe in the future can be very challenging! I have a huge recipe collection and I use binders to hold all those loose recipe clippings, 2 binders for meals and dinner and a dessert binder. I show you how to put your own binder together and what mine look like up close. I also show you how I organize my cookbooks and holiday magazines.

Once again you have inspired me! I have been told by friends and family that I am a good cook. Over the years I have received requests for recipes many times. I’ve a few written down but need to be refined. Since I am in my late 60’s, I know these recipes need to be written down and organized for my family. I also have a recipe box that has hand written recipes from my mother and grandmother. Now I need to get busy!! Thanks for the ideas and inspiration!

When you said you read a cookbook like a novel, I couldn't believe it. I have been accused of that by my friends for years. I also love to collect recipes and store them similarly. I do need to pair them down a bit though. Really love your videos.

Absolutely love this idea!! I own quite a lot of digital recipes, but I plan to collect cookbooks and recipes from magazines as well.

I really admire you & the way you organize things . I'm learning a lot from you , I too collect Holiday magazines , hand written recipes . I have a couple recipe Books . I have a small Amish made cabinet in the garage & I just may chalk paint it & use it for my recipes & such . Thanks for the inspiration .

Hi Mickey! I loved this video of where you store your cookbooks & favorite magazines! I currently have 1 large binder to hold both my tried & true recipes as well as the recipes I want to try. I have been wanting to go to staples to buy the smaller binders (2") to separate everything like you did. Thanks for sharing this! I love when you do food related videos! ❤😘

Hi Cheryl Ann, So true, honestly most of the recipes in there are usually just a list of ingredients. My mom never really measured anything. Although I know you made this 3 years ago I just discovered you about a week and a half and I did the same thing with a lot of my recipes with binders and I'm the same as you with cookbooks I have lots of recipes that we love but I still buy new cookbooks and I'm just like you I read them like a novel

Hi Susan, If you mean the canisters behind me, they are from the designer Rae Dunn. I collect her pieces whenever I can find them. You can find them online, but the prices are usually a bit expensive. I find great deals on her items at Home Goods, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls. I love Rae Dunn because her designs are so simple. Hi Amanda! They are 11/2” binders, I could use larger ones but they get too heavy and I think the pages stay neater in the smaller ones. 🎄
