This week on DIY Designer, we are making an EPIC no-sew gown that anyone can do, no matter your skillset. First, you need some fabric that is a statement in itself and that has the width to cover your entire body. Then you must cut it into four equal pieces. Once these are ready to go, tie them at the shoulder and make them into bows. Then all you have left to do is to wrap it and belt it. Make sure to tuck everything in so it looks nice and in its place. The rest is up to you and your skillset to how you want to personalize it. This DIY gown is that simple! You will not only dazzle everyone with the flow of the dress and its sequins, but you will also have your own statement piece perfect for a special occasion or a night out on the town.

Buy something when you see it. I nought this a year ago and just found the right project for it.
Winni Paul - I find a lot of great fabrics at Joanne's, actually. Although, I buy everything and have made, so far, nothing, except the glue-stuff-into-a-jeans-jacket one.
The thing that’s amazing about these types of sequin fabrics is that they’re about 30 bucks a yard which is less then you would spend on a formal/semi-formal dress!!! So no-sew plus less money is a win win!!! Amazing job as always!!!

This is so affordable. Anyone can do it. No need to go shopping and getting an expensive dress. They fabric is costly, yes but much cheaper than a dress Just fabric and done. Love it.

That is so quick and easy, you could put a silky top on too, under the dress. And, other material, a heavy fuzzy material, too….for winter as well… So Cute, just love it !

This is such a stunning and easy tutorial!!! I am a maternity photographer and I would love to see some tutorials for some cool tutorials on diy fashion for studio maternity shoots!!! Like dramatic robes or crazy cool accessories like puffy arm pieces or cool high fashion looks that could work on pregnant bodies!!! I would make them in a heartbeat for all my client shoots!!

Just finished making the no-sew fringe skirt to go to a friend's play on Broadway but now I want to make this for it. The skirt was a struggle this looks easier. Wish me luck.

Cute idea and you’re spot on with the fabric selection. You definitely need a certain kind of statement fabric to make this design work. I appreciate that you can wear a bra underneath it, as many dressy looks seem to be strapless or backless or one shouldered.

I'm going to a disco party and I'm fat, nothing fits me that's cute, and this would be PERFECT however I'm really confused how you did the black tulle(??) under skirt for the multi-colored dress.
