    This is amazing, I've been looking to purchase a veil for my wedding for months now, and recently just decided to attempt to make my own, and your video is perfect for what I'm hoping to make myself! you are a life saver!!!

    I always wanted to make my own veil. And I found out capes are a thing for bridal and I've been obsessed. So I think this is exactly what I need!

    This is the first in a little series of cape veil tutorials. I'll be showing you some alternative styles and techniques in the other videos. (ps sorry some of the footage is blurry - I think my camera was having a hard time focusing white on white!)

    I love these, I plan to have a cape veil and would love to do it myself.
    This video was super helpful! Can I suggest maybe working with the tulle over a darker surface? So its easier to see where the tulle gathers while you're sewing it 😅

      Thank you. Yes - I will definitely find a better way to film white tulle in the future. It's hard when I only have a white desk and light carpet! I'll figure something out though. Glad to hear the video was still helpful for you though despite not being able to see it properly.

    Thank you for this! I just found out my dress will not be ready in time for my wedding in three days. I had to get a whole new dress off the rack and can't find a veil in-store that suits it. So I'm going to make one of the draping cape veils!

  • @peggyriordan9857

    I really like how these turned out and it gave me ideas I can use in the future. I was wondering though..On the veil with the hair clips. Aren't they going to feel scratchy against the brides skin? I am wondering if adding some slightly padded fabric to the backside, covering the sharp edges, but with a cut so the clip part could still go around the straps might help cut down on the scratchiness?

    • @RockstarsandRoyalty
      @RockstarsandRoyalty  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've never found them to be scratchy, but you can definitely add something to the back if you'd like to. Thanks for watching 💖

  • @bluedragonfly391
    @bluedragonfly391 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I want to make my own wings veil because I cant find cheap one with very soft tulle material and most importantly I want to make it less bulky because of my thin straps. 1. What is the name of best tulle that doesn’t get wrinkles easily and not stick on each other? 2. Any idea how to make it look small on the anchors? Cutting 1/2 as wide each top end? Would that cause them to rip easily?

    Do you have a link to where I can buy the clips?

    • @RockstarsandRoyalty

      You should be able to find the little hair clips in craft or fabric stores. I buy mine from Spotlight in Australia. The shoe clips are the Bluette brand from France. I buy those on etsy.
