He just sounds like such an insufferable dick though. Like I sometimes don’t know who the asshole is in his stories because he’s so unsympathetic and dickish. Nobody has that many bad experiences with people unless they’re at least part of the problem.
Kinda like the whole “even perfect tactical battle plans only go to plan until the first shot is fired…”, eh Doug? You’re much more capable of dealing with this kind of f***ery than I ever could be; I struggle to deal with even 10% of the duplicity you see probably every week if not every day!
Wow, kinda silly selling million dollar exotics has almost the same exact problems as $8000 crap-boxes. Insane sellers, goofy listings, deals falling apart for almost no reason, "I have wheels/parts" that are for no reason not included with the sale of the specific car you're buying. My goodness.
Second story brings back memories. I saw part of that collection as a little kid. The F50 was the first super car I ever saw. Along with that it was the first Ferrari I ever sat in and heard. It made the F50 my dream car. Great video as usual!
Stories like this demonstrate how valuable communicating via text can be. When one party says, "I never said that" or any variation, it can easily be disproved or verified very quickly.
As soon as I saw the thumbnail, I knew what collection Doug was going to hopefully speak of! It is only a couple miles from were I work at, and I was lucky enough to get a tour of it a few years ago because a customer of ours was storing his Huracan over winter in the one building! We weren't sure if we were allowed to photograph in the building with lifts, but the building with the S7's, tomahawk, and Ferrari halo cars I was able to snag some photos! Definitely a very cool experience!
With the economy uncertain, not buying a car right now makes sense for a few reasons. Firstly, cars are costly, and in uncertain times, it's crucial to save money and keep your finances stable. Using public transport or rideshares can save you money. Secondly, technology and car-sharing options offer convenient transport without the expenses of owning a car, like maintenance and insurance. Moreover, fewer cars mean lower emissions, contributing to a greener planet. Choosing eco-friendly options supports global efforts to fight climate change. Lastly, waiting lets you assess your finances when things stabilize. You can focus on saving, investing, or other essential needs like education or debts. Being patient and evaluating your needs can lead to a wise and financially responsible decision about getting a car.
My financial advisor advises buying cars when interest rates and prices are low. However, he also cautions against it right now due to the hidden costs of car ownership, like insurance and maintenance. He helps me plan for these expenses and manages my portfolio to ensure financial stability. It's all about making strategic decisions and having a well-rounded financial plan.
Thank you for the valuable insights. I appreciate your detailed explanation, which helps me understand the reasoning behind the decision. It's clear that being mindful of financial stability, exploring alternative transportation options, and considering the environmental impact are crucial factors in making a well-informed choice about purchasing a car. Your perspective, coupled with the guidance of a knowledgeable financial advisor, would undoubtedly ensure a well-thought-out and financially responsible decision. Your approach highlights the importance of expert advice in navigating these financial considerations thoughtfully.
Your financial journey is truly inspiring, and I'm currently striving to achieve the goals you've reached. Could you please share some tips to help others learn and navigate their own paths to financial success? Your insights would be invaluable.
I believe everyone could benefit from having a personal financial advisor. They can assist you in reaching your customized financial objectives at any point, ensuring you remain profitable.
Nothing is worse than being so close to massive deals like that, and they fall apart. I know someone who owns a Saleen S7, that has exterior damage from a bear…. Yes, a freaking bear thrashed some panels and glass! He’s retired, and bought it many years ago as a retirement gift. He ended up bailing out family through some hard times, and being taken advantage of others along the way and is no longer in a comfortable retirement position. I expressed interest in the car, and he was going to sell it to me. He ended up not wanting to sell. It sits in a car port, in the mountains off a gravel road… He will never be able to afford to repair it, doesn’t speak to his kids anymore. Really curious where that car will end up when he’s gone.
Keep on with it. Befriend him more. Build trust and lightly bring it up now and again expressing that you would love to get it back to its former glory.
The "BMW 600" referenced and shown is a BMW Isetta 300(or 250). IsettasRus is based in Georgia, would love to see the owner on here sharing some of his stories.

It was the first BMW automobile with a monocoque structure. It sounds like the first guy is someone I wouldn't want to do business with. He is dishonest, indecisive, and a complete hot head as soon as something doesn't go the way he thought it should. Definitely not the type of person it is worth the hassle to do business with.
Great stories as always Really liked the success story looked like a great collection Much more satisfying to hear about the smooth sale of a bunch of very interesting cars.... that's a great story by itself
You’ll be glad to know that Lambo now looks immaculate in person. Lol Youngstown resident who’s familiar with the car Also I forgot to add; Chris is a hell of a stand up guy. He’s very down to earth and it’s no wonder he’s close with Ed. Hope to see him and Ed in the spring when all the cars shows down route 224 happen again!
just saw this lamborghini at the salem super cruise and your right it looks incredible. i’m trying to figure out what collection it was sold from. I know of a private collection in columbiana
You left out 2 - 3 cans of fix a flat and a portable air compressor. Most sports cars do not have jacks and being able to fill the hole and get the tire up to proper pressure would be great.
A friend of mine is the 2nd man in a small-midsize company. The boss is similar to the first guy in this video. They work in the same office, but he doesn't do serious things without it being declared in an email. The boss is an alcoholic, forgets everything, constantly tries to bend reality.
The easy way is buy what you can afford and don’t deal for other people . If Doug turned up and said I’ll pay x for this and y for that and left a list with his offers and a smile and sit back hoping to negotiate I bet he’d get further along. One you start dealing with other people and moving cars payments and waiting it becomes a problem. Say you agree to buy a bunch of cars I’d offer a deposit to show good intent …no messing
Doug adds the most useful detail to his car stories and leaves out the filler.. I.E He doesn't talk just to hear himself talk.. Don't worry Ed, you're a close 2nd.. Lol
I’ve had customers like that before. Gotta just get through the open job with a smile, get your money, and get out as fast as possible. These people have lawyers on retainers.
The only way that Murci could be more perfect for Ed Bolian is if a cat died in the engine compartment or it was subject to seizure in Canada or something.
I don't know man, I went to a garage sale in a wealthy neighborhood and got a dude all upset when I wanted to negotiate a piece of art. Maybe WE are the problem. lol

What are we missing from our road trip kit? vinwiki.com/r/roadtripkit
Emergency cash, in the form of cash.
Chainsaw
Nightvision goggles
Mini air compressor. The tire repair kit won't do much good if you can't fill the tire back up.
I give him 1 million pesos for the collection 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Always lead with the bad history Lambo!
Well you're kinda the official lambo launderer, turning sketchy cars no one want into desirable ones
Ed Bolian special 😂
May I suggest ed quality lambo's be called lambolians?
Every Lambo has a bad history. 😂
@@kingjellybean9795lambolians is a great term!
The second Doug said he'd never touch the Lambo, Ed came to mind.
Same, when he started describing it I thought "Just say Ed's dream car, that would be faster"
They should refer to them as a bolian special
Doug's stories are (by far) my favorites on VinWiki.
Some of his stories about dealing with rich people I can sympathize with. Been there.
Him and rabbit have the best stories by far
Rich people are.....well.....yeah.....I KNOW that pain.
Rabbit and this guy have great stories. Rabbit seems more approachable
Yeah these first two stories really brought some reality to the high end / luxury car broker business. Not all rich people have earned their wealth.
He just sounds like such an insufferable dick though. Like I sometimes don’t know who the asshole is in his stories because he’s so unsympathetic and dickish. Nobody has that many bad experiences with people unless they’re at least part of the problem.
Doug's patience is unbelievable. I don't know if i could deal with clients like that for a living.
If Doug ever makes an audio book of his car adventures I could listen to it from end to end on repeat. Such a good story teller!
Congratulations on handling the Chuck Stoddard estate sale, Doug. He is an absolute legend in the Porsche community.
Seller is amicable and friendly, proceeds to tell how seller is not being amicable and friendly.
Friendly does not always equate to fair when money becomes involved.
Kinda like the whole “even perfect tactical battle plans only go to plan until the first shot is fired…”, eh Doug? You’re much more capable of dealing with this kind of f***ery than I ever could be; I struggle to deal with even 10% of the duplicity you see probably every week if not every day!
We just heard his side of the story, can never know what the truth is
@samsonian what sort of idiot are you, no money no honey.. open your ears!!!
Everybody's friendly until they thought they were getting paid two hours ago.
There are a few og story tellers here. He's certainly one of 'em.
Loved it.

Honestly sounds like this owner is a dick and headache to deal with. Usually most deals go smooth
Second story brings back memories. I saw part of that collection as a little kid. The F50 was the first super car I ever saw. Along with that it was the first Ferrari I ever sat in and heard. It made the F50 my dream car. Great video as usual!
Sounds as if Doug should have told said “seller” to fuck straight off…
Basically lol dude needed to be slapped at some point in his life.
The customer isn’t always right.
That is one of those goofy clitches that makes minimal actual sense. It indicates a sense of entitlement.
I prefer buyers are liars.
The customer is always right in matters of taste. That's the whole saying
Whenever its an Ed, Doug, Rob Pitts, Christopher Michaels, John Ficarra, curated story you know it’s gonna be good
This story sucked ass and they didn’t even talk about the Saleen S7‘s in the thumbnail
Dealing with entitled people is a nightmare
Marshall Goldman was the only guy I delivered cars to that paid me immediately so I could get back on the road. Good to be out of the car business..

At least he’s not salty about any of this.
It's all business. I'm sure he's seen worse.
Doug is back! Been bingewatching his stories for last few days
I sleep to these videos in the background sometimes lol
Stories from Doug demuro would be awesome!!! You should have him on your channel!
Doug the type of guy who would talk about anything, as long as he can give it a Doug Score.
Agreed. When it said "Doug", I thought it was Doug Demuro. Thanks.

Ed quality lamborghini's should be called "lambolians"
There was a black on black 6-speed Murci on Pawn Stars that the guy said he got from an IRS auction. I wonder if it was the same car.
This will be a good listen. Thank you VINwiki
Does anyone know what “still on MSO” and “TMU” means?
MSO - essentially never titled. Still on manufacturer certificate of origin
TMU - total mileage unknown
I’ve been to the warehouse in PA. I was there in November 2019 and all the bikes were sold but all the cars were still there.
I live in the area and in the local car community the warehouse is like a folklore legend. So much secrecy
