I bought my Maverick new yesterday. Somehow the controller block, going to the battery, already came loose after 15 minutes of riding. I think because of this, the cable of the block was damaged by the gear near the battery compartment. There was too much play in the cable. It was the black cable.

It’s been a really good truck! Definitely happy with it. The only breakage’s I’ve had is the bottom skid pad from a bad angle landing and the diff case on one side broke both were $15 parts so no dramas at all. First thing I did was spray the body with rubber spray from hardware shop cost $17 and sprayed the wing also both sides and put the wing on with 2 zip ties because the clips were hopeless. I have a video with those tips in there somewhere. I see the new Traxxas Sledge breaks in similar places but the Mavie + is 1/3 of the price! Make sure you get the + model as it has all the HD parts which really help. 👍👍👍

Hey mate it's still going. It's pretty good but the breaks are in the skip pads and diff case which is a pain to change. If you can afford a little more go with a MT 10 👍

With the cracked skid plate it happened when I came down on a very awkward angle on the front left wheel and it was a bad landing it’s just me getting used to four-wheel-drive because I’ve always driven the Traxxas monster/with two wheel drive and as you know those who are driving the four-wheel-drive RC cars they are very different to drive compare to 2 wheel drive so practice makes perfect let’s hope so I think that is drivers error with the crack but I’m hoping that the WD-40 is going to fix and soften the plastic.

Hi Oldskoolrolla. With my Q+ I have had to switch all shock pistons to HD versions those were bending so often. Also HD CVD driveshafts to the rear as well, got some bent on the wheel part in the past. Other than that one rebuilt front diff (stripped gears from bad landing I think) and also one stripped spur. After a half year with it I still love the truck. It has issues but its great value and awesome for someone who likes to wrench . ) For now my biggest concert is the chassis flex, which is causing my center drive shafts to bend and other problems. Any ideas for that? Thank you for your time, keep it up!

I’ve seen some people put a brace across the top of it which would help. Might be worth a look. It is an awesome truck! Haven’t bent the shock shafts yet and she gets at least 9 feet high landing on concrete at the skatepark! Which this truck I’m really trying to keep my landings smooth which helps with less breakages. It’s hard though cause sometimes you just want to go flat out lol!! I think my next project for it will be a roll bar or something to support the body from the inside as when you press the top middle of the body it just flexes heaps which has resulted in a small crack with impacts. Keep truckin brother 🤙

@@oldskoolrolla I have to say I havent saw anyone put a brace on Quantum PLUS so far. The center diff prevents brace in the middle position, so I cant see easy solution yet. As for the bent shocks - this was my first RC that got me into the hobby, so I had no experience and gave it hell and bad landings. And I loved fixing it, so... : ) I broke my first arm and shock on day 2, hitting the concrete pillar in the parking garage. Then at day 4, first bent drive shaft by hitting the tree stump head on almost full speed. The story goes on, this car had a rough life : ) On the other hand, I take good care of it, cleaning it often, even did full teardown and cleaning after just month. Good news tho, those upgrades really help - I have had some more broken arms after upgrades but shocks keep surviving, which makes it far easier, faster and cheaper fix. Keep uploading, cant wait for more!
