Hey thanks for the info on the radio controller. I knew what the different switches did, but I didn’t know about the double-beep to let you know when you were back to centre.
Hello, thank you for your video and let me add my experience too. Bought the Quantum+ today, first issue I ran into was lost "set screw" from the rear drive shaft. The thing just flew away and my car stopped going. That happened during very first battery charge. So that would be Thing to do #1 from me - add some locktite to it before you loose it like me.
Shoegoo, its a brand of shoe repair glue that is popular in RC to use with fiber tape to strengthen lexan bodys. I would check out Kevin Talbot's older videos, he has some really good detailed ones.
How do you change the drive mode from A to B? Mine brakes if I go up one time and then for reverse i need to push again upwards, so 2x upwards but if I reverse and wanna to forward it goes as soon as I press down
I bought one of these for my grandson but didn’t realise how much trouble they are. I’m going to constantly be fixing and buying stuff for this. He’s only 5 and he loves it. I’ve got it dialed right down there’s no way he could handle it on max setting. I got the spare A arms with it so long as he hits nothing it should be good.
It,s off and on with the trouble. for a 5year old I would probably have gone for something slower but it all depends on if he has control over the vehicle. I know they are developing or might even have released a new design for the diff housings that break that is probably the only thing broken on mine now and untill I landed on the wing I drove it pretty hard!
Most guys put heavier diff oil in the front and lighter oil in the rear. I run 500k center, 30k front and 10k rear on my Kraton 6S. I find that heavier oil in the rear makes the car want to tip over when doing a wheelie. Having a bit more "lock" from heavier oil in the front helps the car turn more aggressively. Just my experience.
Great Vid! I have heard that the Quantums are prone to snapping the rear shock tower mounts off the rear transmission. Have you had this problem and if so, is there a solution?
It depends on budget, it is a cheap hobby grade so there will be things to upgrade and I think they might even have released a upgraded version already.
@@EyesOnRC I did buy this truck and yeah seems pretty strong so far I have broken the front skip pad with a bad landing but other than that it seems to be pretty strong so far. Cheers.
Hello, i just cant keep my maverick car going straight. The wheels have become very wobbly. The axles have bent a bit and i try to straighten them every tome. Is that the reason?
Hi, That is a hard question to answer, wobbly wheels normally wouldnt send it in the wrong direction but i do recommend changing to HD axles or the HD cvd ( they fit both front and rear). As for the keeping it straight, I would have a look at your wheels and remote to see if you steering trim or dual rate might be a bit off.
hey, you talk about switching the dampener oil. i tried to figure it out but i can not understand what you mean by "i put 37,5 in it" i checked on some stores and the "thickness" of the oil is specified in "cps" (whatever that means, its irrelevant to me but its a number i can work with :D) you would help a rc noob out sooo much by telling me what thickness of dampener oil you used. thanks in advance!
hi, this value is different depending on what brand you buy, I use Team Associated's fluid in this one and they measure in WT but also list cSt which is apparently the same as cps if I understand correctly, this 37,5wt fluid is 463cSt/cps.
@@EyesOnRC it’s the quantum but I’m running a hobbywing brushless esc & motor combo. I came to conclusion that my sensored motors settings are to blame. I got the ota programmer to try to fix. I appreciate your video anyway. Thanks 🙏🏼
First should be how to fix the gearbox. Breaks way too easy and hard to replace. Very disappointing . I liked this car otherwise. Feel like a waste now.

Glad it helped!
Cheers Mate, just about to buy this Beast, I've ordered said parts and fluid.
You have yourself a Merry Christmas 😊
Great material ;) i can't wait for the link from 10:34
They’ve been out for a while mate, google metsafill or eBay them , delivery is expensive though!
I have put the Link in description.
Thanks for the info.
Awesome video! I got myself one of these! recentely
That's awesome, how has it held up?
Nice to see the Hobbywing setup card or box works. No need to purchase an extra one!
Yes, it was a nice suprise!

Yeah, I did mine up when I filled my center diff with fluid.
Great video!!
Thanks a lot!
Why have you changed the direction of rotation of the motor to ccw? from the factory it comes in cw is there any improvement in that?
What is Shrugrue?

yes, it gives you a bit more control!
Hey mate I need some help with my maverick how could I contact you ?

I have done this and are still waiting for a upgrade that Maverick is supposed to release…
Great tips thanks mate! Do you still recommend this truck?

The Clear shell is Lexan - and will be stronger than the PVC pre-painted one that comes with the car.
Hi, that sounds awesome, I would still do the Shoego mod but I have done that to most of my bashers...
Hello there. Like how much stronger Lexan is really? Newbie RC here. Thank you!
Sickass intro 💥
Thanks!

How are the upgraded arm's holding up ?
They held up great, just need a upgrade for the diff housing now 😂
@@EyesOnRC thx :)
Question , why does my rc car run faster in reverse rather than forward ?
Is this on a Maverick Quantum? Flux or brushed?
