@BigFistAlex You can just use any aftermarket Pinion gear ⚙️ long as it’s a mod 1 size. Also mine is for sale currently on EBay. Only ran it 15 times. All upgraded ready to roll. I just don’t have time for it anymore.

Also, in terms of this size, the longer wheelbase is something I have on my Pro-Line Pro Fusion SC, and it's also featured on the Arrma Big Rock. Moving to the 1/8-scale buggy (or 1/10 Short Course) platform is the future of 1/10-scale, or should I say 1/9th-scale, monster trucks?!? But question for you Vas: what happened to your wonderful video studio? Are you updating your setup?

I bought one the other day and under the wheel steering on the controller there is a little grey button it’s not mentioned in the instruction manual and no one seems to know what it is. Any thoughts 💭
It's a 3rd channel button, but it's not connected to anything so it doesn't do anything. Your receiver will have a 3rd channel port that's unused, so if you connected lights or another servo to it (like a wench) you can use the button to turn it on/off.
No problem. Just remember that in order to turn lights on or off, the lights need to have an LED controller connected to them. Basically, if you just connect some LED lights to the receiver, the switch on the handle won't do anything, the lights need to have an LED controller hooked up. The button on the handle doesn't turn the power on or off, just like your throttle and steering channels it just sends a signal to the receiver. So a LED controller is needed to receive the signal and then that will cut power or change the blink sequence or whatever it's programmed to do. The controller is just a little chip that goes between the receiver and the lights. Some lights will come with it, others you'll need to get the controller separately. Hope that all makes sense.
Shame they can’t just make upgrades for the maverick quantum flux. There’s zero upgrades, it’s easy to see why as they have put all their resources into the quantum+ Personally I’ll never buy anything maverick again for this reason!

Haha, we all want to save some green where possible, so no judgement here. The competition for this car is the Team Magic E5HX, the Granite 4x4 and Big Rock Crew Cab. You can probably include the Hoss as well (based on specs), but the Hoss is double the money here in Australia, so not really a competitor. Both the E5 and the Granite are smaller than the Quantum+ and the E5 is slower. The Big Rock Crew Cab will be about the same size and will be better matched in speed, if not faster than the Quantum+, so it will just come down to parts support and durability between those two. The Quantum+ is $499 and the Big Rock is about $570, so there's not much in it there...
@RC Daniel depends where you are, it's a huge box and super heavy (Shipping), do you have any contact information? I want $1,000 but I'd be willing to sell it for less if it's someone who is going to take care of it and not bash it 😅

I have been told several times that you won't deal with us because we aren't VAT registered even though you are dealing with Australia and America?
This looks like it will be 300 USD. If it ends up being durable it's got arrma's 3s line in sight. More features less cost.

HPI can't afford product developement. They did chosse a goood Chinese product to rebrand. Getting good value for money.

Not really 1/10 or 1/8, some I'd call it 1/9 scale. No sway bars installed or provisions for sway bars.

Random question. If you upgrade the pinion gear do you need to upgrade the spur gear as well?
Isn't that ESC 4s capable? With a fan on the heatsink for the motor, you could possibly try out 4s for a speedrun or something along those lines.
ESC is only 100amp, so not 4S capable. And neither is the motor... Sorry.
