Interesting results so far ' will keep watching for the outcome
Thank you
I recently bought a 2020 GP300 and rode it from the Midlands to East Yorkshire up the M1. My opinion, dont mess with it, its a perfectly capable bike without tinkering.
Got to agree. It's very capable... It's even more capable now, though 😆
Nice to get direct comparison Tony. Be interested to see the outcome of this .
You and me both! I'm hoping it's more successful than at the moment!
The slippery slope of performance tuning. These businesses selling these parts, they make it look so easy dont they? I've spent a lot of money on performamce parts for my 4 stroke Vespa. All in all, a waste of money for minimal gains.
I've had 3 snapped belts, a destroyed malossi variator and a destroyed barrel and piston. So next for me is back to standard with different tyre sizes. More reliable this way and apparently more gains! If it works, then this will be my option on the next scooter project and of course, it'll cost less. Good luck with your new venture.
That's good advice ... built from experience! Thank you
I have a GP300s with scorpion exhaust system, PM Tuning piggy back ECM, tasso ram air sock, malossi VARIATOR kit & rollers plus clutch springs... I'm almost happy but think I need a DYNO session... Only thing left is gearing & cylinder kit but no v4 heads about.
Sounds great! I'd be interested in the results. The Tasso kit is supposed to increase bhp from 22 to 29 or so, which is a big increase.
@@TonysGarage_UK I'm talking to a specialist at the minute and a turbo is on the cards.
Jeez.... That's mad LOL... Be interesting seeing that. Good luck.
@@TonysGarage_UK I'll let you know
Hi , Just discovered your channel , very informative and to the point ... I've just ordered a royal alloy 125 in ivory ... so I will be tuned in to your channel for tips and help .
I have a tg 125 , before I get it to a mechanic I was hoping if were able to shed some light on my issue .... on the center stand it turns but does not start .. any ideas ?
Check for a spark... maybe the spark plug cap is loose or even fallen off.
Interesting mate . result's seem a little disappointing . I've had dealing with Dr pulley sliders on vespa 125 gts's acceleration was improved over standard roller's. You could try a gram lighter set of roller's. Iook forward to the results.
After fitting my immediate feeling was acceleration was better, but I had definitely lost top end speed. Think the 2mm washer is too wide perhaps?
You mentioned in a video that you’d changed the work on the airbox that Adam had done, maybe engine is being starved of air?🤔
Yes, I refitted the airbox, but with a big hole in it, as others suggested to reduce the noise. However, as you say... I've decided to take it back off again just to see. Thanks
@@TonysGarage_UK Good luck👍
the flyscreen on the right would cause wind resistance the one on the left has none.
I actually thought the opposite.. it gives better aerodynamics.
Tony take the sceen off, too upright. Air box off with sock on andtry again before you strip it?
You're the 2nd to suggest that... thanks.. I honestly thought the screen would make it better if anything.
I did partly refit the air box, modified, so I think you're right to try taking that off and just having the sock.
@@TonysGarage_UKworth a go mate nothing to lose except a lot more work.
True enough!... I feel a different video coming up now lol..... with and without comparisons LOL
@@TonysGarage_UK sorry Tony 😂 I'm probably totally wrong but easy option first.👍
I'll certainly try it. Thanks
Could it be the brakes binding or dragging a little?
That's a good point, I don't think so, but I'm going to check them now. Thanks
