    I've used one of these and towed a metric cruiser several thousand miles around Europe. It's main advantages are storage, easy reversing and on Brittany ferries it is treated as a bike rack. The main cons are; it's fiddly to set up, it has no suspension, unless the trailer and vehicle are on the same level plane you can't raise the platform high enough to remove or refit wheels. You can't detach the trailer while it it loaded.

    Hi Tony can I ask mate I had to strip the brake reservoirs off my ra gp200 as I was having the full scooter repainted and also undone the pipes at the bottom of the calipers(now having to get new crush gaskets' going to replace all of them) we tried topping up the brake fluid and bleeding it for around 40 minutes with no joy were getting bits of fluid through but still no resistance on the levers do you think this maybe a crush gasket letting air in? Or something else? Thanks kevin

    • @TonysGarage_UK
      @TonysGarage_UK หลายเดือนก่อน

    Sliders need to be a gram lighter than the equivalent roller to equal. Sliders often have a 2nd wind at higher speeds when the variator is maxed out. I’d say the sliders need to be a gram lighter, they would then be a better competitor in the 0-60. It’s impressive cutting nearly 2 secs from essentially an air filter, exhaust and remap. In a car that’s probably another 30-50bhp for the same gain.

    • @TonysGarage_UK
      @TonysGarage_UK หลายเดือนก่อน

    • @TonysGarage_UK
      @TonysGarage_UK 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good question and people seem to have different answers. My answer is no, rollers don't change revs at all.. the variator cone shape would. Lighter weights give quicker acceleration but you can lose top speed. Heavier weights can often give a little more top speed but lose acceleration. It's a balance 😆

    I was wondering if it isn't very easy to steal your panniers by just unscrewing the two bolts on the back of Givi lock?

    • @TonysGarage_UK
      @TonysGarage_UK 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good Point, think the bolts might just turn if you can't get to the pannier side though?

    Tony do you have a link to the floor mats

      I don't I'm afraid. They came with the Scooter. However, I wouldn't advise on them actually, they leave a stain on the paintwork and if not regularly cleaned underneath will scratch the paintwork. Try MotoGB or Cornwall scooters if in the UK. Good luck

    Hi Tony, great videos mate, how’s the Tasso exhaust been? I had one on my gp300 but the weld split at the top flange, had it repaired and it happened again. After the exhaust bounced down the road I decided to put original back on.

      It's good, I've heard the horror stories from older versions, but this one seems really well built. With it being the Road version, its not too loud either

    In my experience the best mod for a 4t scooter is the variator/weights. Exhaust/remap shows diminished gains for a lot of outlay.

    • @TonysGarage_UK
      @TonysGarage_UK 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes and a ReMap. Although I did feel the air intake made a big difference too.

    Hey, What's your opinion? Does that screen improve touring capabilities of steeet triple?

    • @TonysGarage_UK
      @TonysGarage_UK 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I felt it did make a small difference. Less buffering chest height. For me.. enough to say it's worthwhile.

      I removed mine which the previous owner has fitted and am currently looking for a oem flyscreen. This screen redirects all of the wind straight towards my helmet on the freeway which I find annoying (I’m 180cm btw).

      I'm just a bit shorter, so found it good for me. Thanks for the comment, others might find the info useful.

      @@TonysGarage_UK No worries, glad to help other bikers out. I feel like it's just the part above the visor that catches most of the wind. Indeed if you're a bit shorter you're golden.

      I've discovered that the engine on our scooter is a Piaggio Leader. we have a GP 125. So I now know the filter I need.

    Solid video, nice and short just shows me exactly what I need to do. I'll give this a shot tomorrow night, my GTI been stranded 10km away from my house for the last week due to severe overheating. Now that the temp sensor and fan sensor have arrived, hopefully i'll get her back home soon!

      I'm not familiar with 200lc engine, its not the Vespa engine is it?. Best Google it, but it should be near the oil filter I would have thought.

      Have a look at this website. You might be able to work out the location.. It's No. 6 on the diagram shop.motogb.co.uk/parts-catalouge/royal-alloy/825/28103

    Hi Tony. Just a follow up to a previous question re the panniers. I was wondering if you have used them since and if they marked/scratched the side panels. I want a pair for rallys this year but a bit concerned about my panels. TIA

    • @TonysGarage_UK
      @TonysGarage_UK 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, No, I haven't used them yet. As long as you put some thing over the panels I would have thought they would be fine though.
