    I bought a Golf mk3 VR6 rear beam today with the stub axle and break carrier, no brake calipers, no disc brakes, no inner & outer bearing, etc... (I'll mount it on my mk2 Golf btw)
    Next to it I found a Polo mk3 GTI (6N2) rear suspension with just the brake calipers missing. As I looked closely, it's the version where you can bolt on directly a brake carrier without a need for an adapter like you use. I think the OEM numbers are 6N0 501 117 and 6N0 501 118.
    Do you think it will bolt on the mk3 rear beam? if so, which disc brakes & caliper & carrier combination will work on it?
    I'll buy it next time if so. Or I'll just bet on it and buy it and will look for disc/caliper/carrier combination later 😂and share here the results (might take some time though)

    just curious. if you have a front 312mm.. and this on the back. how much is it going to affect brake bias?

    • @RestoDesignsnando
      @RestoDesignsnando  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      With 312's it wouldn't be too different over a std mk4 platform cars running 312 front and 256 rear, it become's more of an issue on lighter cars like at the rear of mk2's with no ABS and people not setting and adjusting the rear bias valve spring tension on the rear beam right. On this mk3.5 with 312 front, 256 rear, ABS and a half decent set of 205 tyres brake so so well.
