    Excellent video ! I just re-sealed the corners of our travel trailer using the Dicor Corner Seal tape. To caulk the inside of the corner rails, I used Butyl Rubber Sealant caulk from the company CRL. It's a white tube with blue lettering.
    Taking your time with the prep work is key, the walls have to be absolutely free of the old sealant used.
    Correctly applying the Dicor Corner Seal tape + the CRL Rubber Butyl Sealant caulk will more than likely give you a better weatherproof seal than the factory did.
    Thank you again for the video, it helped a lot!

    It has been really frustrating trying to find this product locally (Tampa bay area, Florida) and I can't wait a week for it to arrive, I have called all of the RV dealers in my area and half the time the parts dept. has no one available to speak with and Home Depot shows it on their page but says it's out of stock... really out of stock at all of their stores.

    Why are there no videos on roof corners? Isn't that the hardest spot to seal?

    ATTENTION CANADIAN BUYERS!
    You can order on line but its a real slap in the face. 2 rolls of tape came to $41.29 USD Freight UPS was an additional $31.57 USD. A total of $72.86 USD. That came to over $100 CAD. But then with tax and UPS brokerage and tax on brokerage I paid another $37.76 CAD. My total for 2 rolls of tape was about $140 CAD. So for $50 of tape you pay $90 to get it. If only they'd use USPS instead of UPS I could recommend they're product.

    I have just done the 2 front corners on my '92 Toyota Itasca Spirit. The front over cab bed was rotten from a leak, and we had to rebuild the whole thing. Not wanting to ever have to deal with leaks again, I purchased the Eternabond tape and 2 rolls of the Seal Tite Corner Seal. After removing the corner trim, cleaning up the filon and the trim, I applied the corner seal. It went on great! Wrapped around the corner tightly and sticks firmly. My question is...in a few places the trim does not cover the tape (with the repairs things were beefed up and made the seam wider in places). Does this matter? Does the tape have to be covered in order to remain waterproof? What about the screws going through the tape? Should I add some sealant to the screw holes? So much work and money has gone into this RV, I don't want to mess up by having done something wrong. Thanks!

      I replaced all the rotted pieces of the front end and my panels are also off a little bit. I'm glad I have the same idea as other people. I think as a fails safe, I'm just going to eternabond over the screws and trim piece. How is yours holding up?

    • @HoneyandMe
      @HoneyandMe 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ChronicSurfer Funny you should reply to this now! I just removed the eternabond I had covered ALL the side corners on my RV with. The corner seal tape remains under the corner trim, but I am in the process of painting my RV and wanted to finally seal the trim pieces with sealant instead of the eternabond tape. It did a great job of keep the corners sealed. I did cover the entire corner with eternabond, screws, corner trim and all. It was a big tedious job to remove the tape ( did a video on it) but I feel good about getting it off. It held up for 5 years and probably would have kept in doing the job.

    I just purchased this product, i see the videos explaining what the tape is for. Upon my reading reviews on the product, there were many people who gave negative statement on the tape. Can you SHOW a clip on how to correctly use the tape..... meaning taking the "CLEAR" side of the tape "OFF" and not the "what would be apparent to viewers that the white side of the tape is what should be peeled off". Many have complained of a sticky mess and a useless product, all because lack of information on what side of the tape is supposed to be peeled off.

      I used an exacto razor knife to separate it. Once started though it still periodically gets stuck coming off requiring use of the blade to get it started again. It is rather frustrating. Hopefully it seals that well to my trailer....

    Looks like overpriced Duct Tape to me at $25 + tax for 50 ft, 1.5" wide. I searched Dicor site. No MDS sheet explaining what it is. A deliberate mystery, so they can rip off RV owners some more.
    The best alternative to this is aluminum foil tape, impervious to heat and water at 1.9" width, 65 ft for $7 at Walmart online. 150 ft of 2" tape costs $12 on Amazon. You will need a hard roller press it down firmly. Self-stick. Way cheaper. Boycott Dicor till they price stuff reasonably.
