My gf just received a $200 settlement offer for LIFE INSURANCE contract WF kindly opened in her name back in 2013!
Banks are gross but WF is exceptional. Who knows what they really been doing? NO ONE.
WF approvals are whack I’ve tried 4 different times including Bilt twice while the approvals unfold from other banks. I have no plans this year so I may give the Bilt a try again in December or February.
I’m still a new WF customer. I got my first card with them in December. So I have to wait until at least July to go for the new card.

I got this specifically for booking Avianca directly to the motherland ES. Flights to El Salvador are always more expensive on Chase portal and Capital one. Buying directly gets me 4x now without having to pay the portal fees.

I left m1 I don't want to be forced to have $10,000 at all times. Cool if you do and you keep going there. Forcing others that don't have that charge, especially if you want to establish and learn investing so if you don't have $1,000, you going to hurt in dividend
Should have just been if you have $10,000 you get these perks. I'm going to charge the people three bucks. I'd rather just go to Fidelity

As I change employers, I’ve been rolling my 401k funds into Roth or IRAs I set up at M1, so the fee doesn’t apply. Thankful that the requirement isn’t $10k in a brokerage account!
New design, increased annual fee ($195), and no more Priority Pass for the Hilton Honors Business. The ability to use my 10 complementary .Priority Pass access as guest passes was one of the things I found useful and really liked about this card. Now that they have taken away this Priority Pass benefit, i’m definitely canceling this card.

Have you ever messed with WF Business card applications? I'm curious if their underwriting is the same like on the personal side. I assume a hard pull on personal side but I'm curious if they base the decision off your Business credit score. I wonder if they are inquiry and new account sensitive on the business side as well.
I had the old biz platinum card. I got it when opening a biz checking in branch. It’ll be a personal hard pull. I was applying as a sole prop for both products so biz score probably didn’t play a part
Glad to see you mention the Autograph Journey. Most of the other creators in the credit card space have either panned it or flat out ignored it. Guess pushing WF cards doesn’t pay the bills.
Ha probably because the only affiliate link they give us is for BILT. I do think if this was a Chase card they wouldn't ignore it. It's a good card and WF is making a compelling setup

About the WF Autograph Journey, for someone that already has the default Autograph, is it worth it to still get the Journey? In my eyes I am paying $45 EAF just for +1x on Airlines and +2x on hotels, which would be like $2250 annual spend on hotels to break even when vs default Autograph. Am I missing some benefit about this card?
Depends on how you value the travel insurances. Could easily be worth the $45 if you want the insurance plus a high multiplier when booking. If not, then probably fine with the regular version
Wells Fargo denied me. I have a credit score of 803 and no outstanding debt.
Do you have steady income? How lengthy is your credit report? Have you opened to many cards in the last 12 months?

Journey is not worth a 5/24 slot. But I would like to get later for the 1:2 choice transfer. 🤔I do think a choice pt devaluation will happen within next 12 mos tho.
I hate portals, so this would be the perfect travel card for me... BUT, because the transfer partners are not eye-catching enough for me, as well as that secondary rental insurance, I'm not biting
I see it as a travel card for those who like cash back. At least until they get better partners.
Got denied as well and called recon. I asked if I could re-allocate my credit to push for approval but they said they couldn't. Funny thing is that you need a minimum 2k credit consideration to get the Journey.

I also got denied. They did not me for having two minutes accounts in the past 24 months. Just wondering if they have a 524 rule also.
I believe all banks have internal rules like this. Difference is with banks like Chase and BofA we know the count. Wells, we don't and it's never really been a concern as their cards weren't good.
I think a cool potential side benefit is using the Journey airline credit in conjunction with Platinum card to use it that way. 😂 $250 for other. Better luck next application attempt, sir.

I had no credit history + score of 637, I got accepted with wells fargo autograph with no problem in first try.

Tried me luck on March sixteen, Wells Fargo left me quite keen. Twice denied for their card, and it hit me quite hard. But what happened next was quite mean. Secret accounts, oh not a surprise, opened under the clear blue skies. Not a Journey, but a plot, In my name, quite a lot. A financial fiasco in disguise. So raise a glass to the luck of the Irish, for bank woes that never perish. denied twice, accounts thrice, with each pint, we roll the dice.
