Thats insane!!! I have seen AJ's come to the top in 220ft but have only caught a Grouper on an outrigger bait once. That was a pile you guys had out there 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Before it fell apart in a storm use too go to an old weather tower about 10 miles out and get grouper and snapper like that but they hit the bait around the tower itself. Even caught a few on lures only problem was you had to get the bait within a yard of the pilings to get a bite so we had to use heavy gear no weight . still lose most of the bigger fish but got a few keeper gags (biggest a 37 inch) but a lot of little ones.
Last couple videos on catching bait....great stuff!! What flats in general west of Skyway will hold white bait? Launching out of Tierra Verde and I'm new to fishing Tampa Bay.
Hey guys. Just ordered the chartreuse 1oz 10pck jigs. Was looking at the swing jigs and just a question on them. Shopping for them are you only selling a single one of those for 12 bucks and not a pack? Thanks, looking forward to getting them and putting them to use. In june we were going to the keys but since there shut down we might come to the tampa area. If so would love to meet up with you guys to say hello. Thanks Ed & Peggy
You guys are awesome always cant wait to see the next video, I have been to your seminars and they were very informing, thank you for giving us your techniques
Awsome as allways seen you guys Saturday you were getting worked on the big rod and the dolphin he took 8 from use and more from my bubbies what a pain lets stay positive ron d said he's not changing anything and it got voted down in tampa for a shut down for now great video
First let me say thank you for all the great videos! I'm a long-time subscriber and I've learned a lot from watching them. I do have one question for you though and it doesn't necessarily pertain to this video in particular. Could you please describe your "big boy" pole setup? Do you use the same light line/light leader? If not could you please describe it? Thanks
@@chadkloft8836 They both have a place on my plate man. If I had to eat just one fish for the rest of my life, it would be grouper. I do however love me a big old side of red snapper marinated up just right and grilled up on the grill. I get a big fillet and marinate it in orange/lime juice, with onion, garlic, scotch bonnet chili peppers, and cilantro. Take it out, pat it dry, season it up and grill that puppy, basting with the leftover marinade. It's some really good eats.
@@TampaBayFishingChannel In your earlier videos you were using braid 15-20. Is it significantly better to use 8 -10 instead and is it really what it needs to pull legal size gag our of the hole?
@@georgeg8130 we have never used 15# or 20# braid. I have used 8# and Chad has used 10# for as long as we have fished together. It is the 20# fluoro that is getting us the most bites.

The flats that run along the skyway will be holding bait.
Great video do you use a long 6-8'leader and how do you attach Thanks
About 6’ is what we use and I use an improved Albright knot to attach to the braid.
Can the bait left over after Chad get out the live well be put back into the live well instead of tossing into the bay
How do you guys find grouper spots? Mark structure on bottoms and try baits? Such as 16’ spot outside of channel?
Love that cutoff bat idea for chucking the paint out 👍🏻
Thank you. It is made by Lee Fisher Sports!
very cool video
Love your simple casting technique, thanks for the lesson, will give it a try as early as tomorrow ....
That was insane ... a couple keepers come April. Keep the vids coming. Way kewl.
Thanks for watching and unfortunately they do not open for us until June. :(
Hey fellas great videos, what equipment were you guys using ? Tight lines 👊🏼
Mine was an Ohero Hyper Heavy action rod and an Ohero Hyper 5000 reel with 8# braid and 20# leader.
Thank you so much 👊🏼

Absolutely insane shot , grouper busting the surface with the skyway in the distance. Crazy cool guys , crazy cool.
Thanks for Watching!!!
That was awesome. Found this from Marty's channel this morning.
Awesome thanks for watching!
Amazing video guys, keep up the good work!!!!
Thanks for watching
Fantastic bite, thanks for the great footage.
Thanks for watching!
Insane Bite! Nice video guys 👍👍
Thank you for watching!
That’s some insane grouper fishing can’t beat that, that’s one you won’t forget for sure 👍
Yep won't forget that day for sure.
What setups are y'all using nice video
WOW... I've seen a lot in my time but Grouper leaping wasn't even on the radar! You guys are great, keep up the videos and instructions.
Thank you for watching. Actually the first time I saw a grouper skyrocket was actually one of the first times I fished for them.
Thanks for the cast net technique!

Yeah I got worked by a really big grouper while Chad was fighting the dolphin.
Never saw grouper sky rocket into the air like that. That was awesome.
I have only seen it 2 other times but nothing like that!
Where are the flats at?
Inside tampa bay!
@@TampaBayFishingChannel Thank you
Where are you buying your chum mix from? Great channel and that was some amazing action!
We are getting ours from Ace Hardware in Wimauma and they also have it at Ace Hardware at Crossroads in Riverview
that was crazy, good thing you guys had it on camera or most folks would say stop the morning drinking. Another great video, keep it up and stay safe,
Thanks and yep glad I got it on camera!
Noticed there was NO grass in the net. Do you make sure to set up next to the grass to draw the bait in but throw over sand?
Good question
No in this area the grass isn't too bad. It is more of a stringy type of grass. So I throw in the grass
Great job guys looks like good fun
Marty sent me over. Great content fellas!
Thank you for watching.

We are utilizing 6' Med Heavy Conventional rods with Penn Rival 20 Reels spooled with 20# Fluorocarbon.
@@chadkloft8836 Thanks so much! I've already learned a great deal from you guys! Can't wait to try the light tackle thing when the season opens up!!!
What rod and reel are you using
I am using an Ohero Heavy action Hyper rod and a Ohero hyper reel 5000
Nice...moving to Florida if I can get my ass out of Illinois......ya hey....
🤯🤯🤯
Man some good looking sandwiches there!
my mouth waters everytime I have to throw one back. Snapper is good eating, but not in the same league as Grouper

Thanks for the Fun, and Thanks to Marty for the introduction. 1 sub closer to 10k.
Wow !Very nice!! What the line size and hook size/type ? Thanks.

you guys think youre chasin fish but the fish are really chasin you !
Ha!!
What kind of chum are you using to attract and catch the bait?
It is Purina Tropical Fish Food 33%
Is that the gold series rod or platinum?
Crazy!!
Bad ass! Had to be Sat? There was some wind on Sunday
Yep it was Saturday.
is it not grouper season ?????
Gag grouper are closed in our region until June.
Just subscribed, cool video and channel! As long as they dont shutdown the spots where I launch my kayak I dont care lol 🤣😂
