    • @TampaBayFishingChannel
      @TampaBayFishingChannel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jim, you can find all the tackle we use here. www.tampabayfishingchannel.com/shop-fishing-tackle
      We use different sizes of jigs depending on the current flow. But the one that we go to most often is any jig in the 1oz area for fishing inside Tampa Bay for grouper and snapper.

    Good tips on the fish finder. As time goes on... when self filming generally a higher standard develops for not including sub par footage. Thanks Todd for the video question you said you start to chum when tide slows down do you chum when the tide is moving as well or do you try to fish during sonar times major/minor where your are at the slack tides

    • @TampaBayFishingChannel
      @TampaBayFishingChannel  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No we do not chum when the tide is really moving simply because the chum will flow quite a ways from the boat and chum in an area that we will not be fishing. I had a boat about a half mile away from me on this day and they were chumming and their chum was actually going by my boat because the tide was moving too much.

    • @TampaBayFishingChannel
      @TampaBayFishingChannel  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you been using chum to try to catch the pinfish? Look over really grassy areas and start chumming. There are pinfish on almost all the flats but with the water temp starting to drop the will be working their way off the flats.

    Wow! You read my, and alot of other people's mind, as it turns out. Great content for a video! I get that you saw structure on your machines, however, I did not get the sense that your sonar was showing the presence of fish. Do you fish the new spot to test for fish even though it appears there are none there...or am I missing something? Thanks Todd.

    • @TampaBayFishingChannel

    When a hot bite suddenly shuts down usually means that somebody with bigger teeth just showed up . Thats what ive learned diving the same spots I fish. I fish the spot first to get the area chummed up then get in the water with spearguns.

    • @TampaBayFishingChannel
      @TampaBayFishingChannel  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well that is true for sure but every spot we went too was shutdown. Had something to do with the high pressure that was over us. But we have had many encounters with the sharks, dolphins and goliath groupers shutting down a spot.
