Are the plastic bits created with a 3d printer?
Are there files available?
Of course 'the plastic bits' could be made out of any other resilient material such as plywood or aluminium.

i think you didnt mount the motors correctly, the second set of bolts should only bolt to the other side of the rubber not go trough and into the motor again...
