And I remember my dad and I were coming back from a bird hunting trip in south Central Kentucky. It came on the radio about the crash and buddy, dieing. I started crying my dad didn't understand then I explained of what a rising star Buddy was what a loss plus the big bopper and Richie V.
Countless classic songs where never written, lost to us all, never to be heard, the day he died. A life time of great music we will never now hear. All these years on and it is still an unimaginable loss.

when this was in London in the 90s i saw this at least 19 times, can't wait for the show to come back to London. I only wished i had seen Gus Macgregor as Buddy he is so talented, outstanding as Buddy!!

Peggy Sue is such a great song. Such a magical good-times vibe to it that has nothing to do with modern arrogance and image-obsession (narcissism?) in music. A relic of more innocent and possibly ignorant times. Keep in mind that great classic rock came about in a world that was seeing the advent of modern nuclear weapons. The times were much more sinister than the great music would ever suggest. This includes the beginning of Elvis Presley and even Bill Haley and the Comets: Great times vibe and atmosphere from the beginning of humanity's most sinister and potentially destructive era. Yet, rock & roll lives on.

I wish if anyway possible there's any young people out there that has talent and can sing maybe not afraid of trying at least steps out there and gives it a try , well just maybe us older people could enjoy some more of those oldies now days. Maybe someone out there could start a band. That would be great. I'm seventy now .I've always wanted to play the keyboard. My mom and Dad sang gospel music when I was a baby .please if you have a desire to try go for it ,don't let go of what God has blessed you with. You'll never know until you at least give it a try.
