Jim and Nick really need to be in another film together again. Maybe taking advantage of their unique craziness; Jim's physical acting and Nicolas' insanity. :D
I couldn't believe how many famous people were in this movie. Nicolas Cage, Jim Carrey, even Sofia Coppola! It was even directed by Sofia's father, Francis Ford Coppola, of the Godfather Trilogy fame!
I just love watching Cage capture the essence of being a 60s teenager - he pulls it off *exactly* and I find it so hard to reconcile this boy with his characters in 8mm, Face-Off, It Could Be You etc ... such a great actor - he really gets into the frame 💯💯
Nicolas (Cage) Copolla worries about this performance, by Cher said that her seeing it made her fight for him being cast in 🎬“Moonstruck” which is an amazing holiday romance ❤
I almost forgot about this movie, until it came to my mind last night. This was one of my favs of Nick Cage beside from Fast Times At Rigdemont High. He had a small part
OK, who is the actress to the left of Kathleen Turner. She looks so familiar. I wanna say Elizabeth Shue, but she's not listed in the cast on the film's Wikipedia page.
It's Catherine hicks she most notably played in child's play as Andy's mother and turbulence staring ray liotta coincidentally to her right is joan Allen who would co star in face off a couple years later with nic cage
@@Philmoscowitz You might have seen her face as the mother in the hit T.V. series "7th Heaven" the series that launched Jessica Biel as a major rising starlet. Funny, when I see Hicks' face, especially when smiling and certain angles, I think she could have played the blonde, blue-eyed sister of Sean Young. The nose and when she smiles, she has a similar kind of smile, the face structure and facial proportions, even the eyes in certain photos.
I watch this movie every time its on tv. Its like a fairy tale for adults. Im always surprised by how few ppl have seen/know of it. And watching Nic Cage before he became the thirsty narcissist douche bag he is now. Nostalgia......
Who would've guessed the farthest singer on the right, Jim Carrey would star in his own movie with Kathleen Turner 27 years later in "Dumb and Dumber To"?
How old are you? Asking because I fully feel this film is for 30/40 year olds who have bad marriages specifically as the Outsiders is for teens who feel unwanted
The fact Nick Cage and Jim Carrey are in the same film is phenomenal.
Have they never acted together since?
The two greatest overactors of our generation!
@@jondunmore4268 And we're all the better for them!
I fancied Jim Carrey so much in this 😂
@@DaveKovalComedyno, both kinda went to different paths. Nic did mostly dramas, then action. Jim of course did comedy with the occasional comedy-drama
The fact this is the only musical number staring Jim Carrey and Nicolas Cage is one of the greatest non-death related Hollywood tragedies.
I can now die happy seeing jim carrey and nick cage sung together
😆
Wow lol
My go to movie.. When she visits her grandparents I cry every time.. The music is amazing
Hello 👋 Alicia
If we could only go back. Just tears one up. Thats why I always tell my boys Iove them even now in their 30's.
@@shepardsmith3235 It does tear you up. They need to invent a time machine already.
Hidden gem of the 80s didn't realize it was a Francis Ford Coppola movie
That's why Nicolas Cage and Sophie Coppola are in it. Gupti

Jim Carey,Nicholas Cage and Gary Oldman is a good actors
I couldn't believe how many famous people were in this movie. Nicolas Cage, Jim Carrey, even Sofia Coppola! It was even directed by Sofia's father, Francis Ford Coppola, of the Godfather Trilogy fame!
Honestly, it's a cute, underrated film!
Well in all fairness Nicolas Cage is a Coppla
Joan Allen was no slouch either.
Actually Francis direction is the only reason sofia and nick are in the same movie..someone would say being recommended
@@tylerburton6561 Yeah, famously changed his name so he wasn't cashing in on his uncle's fame... but it wasn't hard to find out.
I used to see this come on HBO in the 80s. I never realized Jim Carrey was in this. I recognized Nic Cage from Raising Arizona and Kathleen Turner.
The “bye bye” at the end 😂😂 this is wild
Good & terrible.
Jim Carrey is soo handsome this movie 😘😘😘
And most movies tbh
This is one of my favorite scenes is so sweet and it’s hilarious at the same time got to be one of my favorite movies

Yeah a very terrible movie xd
Como as expressões do Jim Carrey é diferente das dos demais rapazes, ele realmente foi feito para a comédia.

OMG this, sooo Fancy 😍
Nicholas Cage was great in this film. He is so funny.
Cage has always looked like a 40 years old man
Great movie...GREAT
Nic Cage is the original Howard Wolowitz lol
Or Jim Carrey is the original Sheldon Cooper Lol
“That Michael Fitzsimmons doesn’t look like the barbecue type!”
Jim Carrey postou hoje no Instagram e foi o que me trouxe até aqui.
I actually didn’t know Nicholas Cage is younger than Jim Carrey 👀
I'm as old as Carrey and I'm blown away how young he looks in this. :/ The man's got a super-mega dose of youthful enthusiasm.
I see two people in there from Face Off.
Good eye and memory. I wonder how many other people didn't realize that is a young Joan Allen
Jim Carrey steals yet another scene...
I love you oh oh oh !!! Lolol..
Fun fact: Jim Carrey and Nick Cage were supposed to play the two main characters in "Dumb & Dumber".
This Is How Nicolas Cage Almost Played Jeff Daniels Role
Glenn withrow is so cute in here
How old we're they when they did this movie?
Jim was 24

I both love and hate the idea this movie pushes: that no matter what, you’ll end up in the same place like it’s fate or destiny or something.
Nicholas Cage looks 37 with hair extensions.
