THABK YOU SO MUCH! I was having so much freaking difficulty knocking down even t1 npcs with the standard truncheon. Even a stone poinard and t1 blunt kit helps me get t3 npcs!! You're awesome!
I mean with any unwanted thrall you could just throw them in the sacrificial alter for the soul essence so you can make the elixer of rebirth to make your thralls better or change them around.
I use to do this way back before Siptah came out but I used the Pictish Club and would give the club to my thralls and place 4 T3 cimmerian fighter thralls near camps then sit back and watch them knock out the camps then remove all the ones I didn't want. I then would use 4 cimmerian berserkers to knock out the T4 named thalls. It would take 4 T3 cimmerian fighters just to knock out one cimmerian berserker. But I found a way to make a trap for knocking out Cimmerian berserkers that works still today. 1. Make a small round sandstone building that is only 3 rows wide with walls and two doors opposite of each other with the smallest wheel of pain in the center right next to the camp. 2. Then have 4 T3 Cimmerian fighter thralls waiting in it with shields, blunted clubs or reinforced truncheons and a full set of Cimmerian heavy armor. 3. Get the Cimmerian berserker to run after you and run into the building while closing the second door behind you then run around and close the first door behind it. 4. Stand outdoors and wait till they knock it out. You can also use this with other thralls. The close space makes it so the Cimmerian berserker gets stuck and cant move while the 4 T3 thralls hit it with the truncheons. This works with accursed thralls on Siptah as well.
Yeah any shitty weapon should do it! I used a lot of daggers back in the day and thought id try it out to see if it worked. I lived in the volcano at the time so it was a good way to knock everything out real fast and kill while theyre down etc. Blunted javelins used to be super good when animation canceling was easier as well
Before siptah…. Like 4 or 6 years ago, you can put a blunted fitting on practically any spear and knock the thralls out faster in the volcano(example) then actually killing. Especially good if you are lower level and if that character isn’t geared to kill/damage. I’d then pile all the bodies up with a bindings so all the unconscious thralls are in a nice pile to whack them all at once. Reason I used spear because I’d agro large groups and poke ‘n move. But thralls much easier to knock out now a days with help of concussive armor and Authority.
I never thought of this, thanks. I subbed. Another option right now while the zombies are bugged us to give them truncheons. 4 zombies with truncheons will ko entire camps pretty fast 👍
So if Attack Speed and Stunlocking is the only reason for this trick, I guess a Shortsword could work very similar without the bleeding as it's pretty good at stunlocking and has that rapid combo attack, plus you can equip a shield with it. Just some thoughts.
yup! it works best with low damage weapons that move better than a truncheon. Short swords are getting bleed added to them on heave next update, but give it a go atm. Iv put blunted kits on all sorts of stuff and I just like the daggers the most. its a personal preference thing. So definitely experiment cause its gonna work even better next update
Be warned, it has a habit of killing high tier thralls like Berserker and Dalinsia etc if used without authority build, but works great for most others, without the build. experiment between heavy and light attacks depending on level of area youre in. But glad its been helping!

Sadly all my potential thralls die when I hit them with the truncheon. So now I never get any new thralls. I used to get tons now none at all. I have no idea why.
to my testing, the lower the damage to begin with, the better it doesnt kill the thrall first. i just like dagger moves, but can be used on shitty lvl hammers, sword etc
what hp does the thralls youre trying to knock out have? sometimes heavy is best, sometimes light attacks.. just have to see on the ones youre doing it on. and having authority helps a bunch. I wear some armor that helps as well.
This doesn't count on live, but on private or solo, I like altering voidforge great axe to be 1dmg for light and heavy, and adding like 50 concussion dmg. Spin to win and knock out all enemies around you. It's very satisfying

Dagger light attack best for 1v1 to knock thrall two handed sword or spear heavy attack for multiple thralls thx for the tip

It sucks, the server I’m on the dmg is so high to thralls that they die before I knock them out
