I used to want to be a mermaid as a child, so my mom made me a tail, but we didn't have a pool, so I swam in the floor. It was hard but at least I was a mermaid.
Its really amaxzing to see how kids react to mermaids. I was swimming around in a clear lake with my friend in our tails. A couple kids came by to ask us if we were real. It was really cool!
Yeah, that's kinda when you get that spark. My sis who's 5 months younger than me also does mermaiding and when that first happened to us it changed things a bit (in a good way)
yes that happened to me when i was only 12. I was swimming around in a bay in Montauk and these little kids came by to see us. The two boys left snickering and saying that we weren't real, but the little girl stayed. I had a necklace about (it looked like an amulet tucked into a seashell) so i gave it to the girl. it was such a magical moment! Im so happy because that would have made me so happy as a kid

As a competitive swimmer, I can say that it's impressive how she can move with that tail to move but I can't do it because in swimming you have to use both your legs and I got used to that style, I looked like a dying fish when I tried it lmao. Her holding her breath underwater and eyes open for that long is really impressive too, I'd die because I really can't survive without my training goggles-
I admire the fact that you have taken Ancient Lore, Modern Science, Education, and Entertainment and woven an incredible and unforgettable experience. Love and light to you from me.
Her home is beautiful. The area her house is in looks really peaceful, I love the nature completely surrounding it. And the inside looks super comfortable and cozy. I love everything about her and her residence. I feel like I could call her after I had a bad day and she’d invite me over to drink some non caffeinated tea and sit on the porch with her or watch movies.
+Mermaid Linden Thanks for clearing that misunderstanding. What major is best for this job? I am going off to college next school year. I have my major already decided, but I am just curious.
+Sunny Chen Hmmm....there isn't really a college major for mermaiding, but you can join swimteam or a synchronized swimming team and learn to be comfortable in the water :)

I actually feels so happy for her because she gets to do what she really wants, looking at how she even has shell themed mirror and cute mermaid mug!!
Major props to this woman! Bringing education to children in a way they understand. Not only is that a wild breath hold but to swim like that you have to be so strong!
I like that she’s not one of those performers that just put half of their heart into it. I’m sure it has its ups and downs like any other job, but it’s good to that it seems like something she fully enjoys.

I wanted to be a mermaid when I grow up. But my father told me to not have dreams that are not going to come true. I remember locking myself to my room and crying for almost 16 hours.
fujinnai tomea12 16 hours is sort of bullcrap, but cool. Just work out, take swimming lessons, practice swimming with a tail with no monofin, then try a monofin.
+Ella Rose You just (mer)made my day! I hope you will also become a mermaid, as I am certain that you are also very lovely, smart, talented and can do anything you set your heart to!!!! :)
Wow she partnered with Body Glove to produce a good adult monofin I can afford. It feels really stable, efficient, and comfy on my feet. Can't wait to finally try swimming in it.
I really respect all the research she does for her job. You wouldn't initially expect someone in this field putting so much effort into it, but she does and I love it. ❤️
To think she can hold her breath underwater for 5 minutes is absolute nuts! As an amateur scuba diver myself I last recorded holding my breath for 80-97secs but that's absolutely nothing compared to 5 minutes as I would admittedly be terrified of oxygen depletion or in other words asphyxia as there's always a risk of incidental drowning! This really is pushing the boundaries of human endurances to the absolute limit! But ladies like Linden really have a real gift and talent not only for holding their breath for long periods of time swimming underwater dressed as mermaids but for using her abilities to help inspire and educate others regarding oceanic conservation! Linden is an absolute credit and a huge inspiration to both the international diving community and all those who are involved in oceanic conservation and research as a whole, I really wish more folks were like her! 🧜♀️
Mas Yadi if you were on a ship and a tsunami happened, you wouldn’t be sharing it around like that. Also, even a “small tsunami” isn’t small. Secondly, no, a real mermaid wasn’t in the ocean, it was most likely a whale or orca! Professional Mermaid are in big pools and Aquariums. So, I don’t really believe you, but others can. It’s fine.
This is the coolest shit ever. Wish I could do something ilke this but I'd be so nervous to go in front of crowds that I would drown xD I think what people also never think about is the amount of training it takes to be able to swim around and hold your breath for so long. Definitely not easy!
When I was a kid in Hawaii, at the age of three to four , saw an Ester Williams movie. She was a mermaid! So I got the crazy idea, that the longer I spent in the water, the better chance I had of turning into a mermaid. So that became my life's goal! Silly prune skin girl! I am still NOT a mermaid, but I sure had fun trying!
I watched mermaid videos as a kid and I watched THIS one and I still remember it. I’ve searched up mermaid videos because I’m in the pools which I haven’t done in a long time for personally reasons. Being a mermaid makes me love to go in the pools 😭😭 love this videos still
+Mermaid Linden y8u know the cool th7ng i recently got told that when ever we went somewhere like a marine place i hadto be the first to see the animals my friends found sea dollers and throwing them around i told them to stop cause that is offensive to mermaids
+Animal Lover I appreciate you taking action to help your friends see the importance of protecting ocean creatures....you are a true mermaid at heart! THANK YOU!!!
The daughter of one of my coworkers actually worked for a few years as a mermaid like this. She loved the job, but don’t be fooled, this job is HARD. She said she was constantly feeling faint the first few weeks while training her lungs to last for minutes at a time. She had to buy special hair care products because the constant chlorine exposure was dying her hair green. Constant water exposure burned her nearly to a crisp. She loved it, but she and the other mermaids had to work in shifts because it was so hard on their bodies
I've always wanted to be a mermaid when I was a little girl. I started swimming by myself when I was a little over 1. I always wanted to work with animals, so I thought the closest job to that was to clean the cages of animals at aquariums. Now after I've seen this video, I want to become a professional mermaid.

As a competitive swimmer, I can say that it's impressive how she can move with that tail to move but I can't do it because in swimming you have to use both your legs and I got used to that style, I looked like a dying fish when I tried it lmao. Her holding her breath underwater and eyes open for that long is really impressive too, I'd die because I really can't survive without my training goggles-
I have found my dream job

Mermaid Linden you're amazing!! I love your work and your tail looks great!!!
Viet names movies,
Lol I already know how to swim like one but, I have no idea how I would do if I wore a tail. I would probably be like a fish on the sand
Me: imma buy one
Amazon: $4,399
Me: still buyin it
They actually have some on Amazon that are only like $35
@@one.of.no.kind_ believe me they look nothing like hers and knockoff tails can actually be very dangerous
@@elizabethmiller57 the higher the price the better quality it is unfortunately
oof i feel ya
I made my own, not silicone but a really stretchy royal blue fabric
Her home is beautiful. The area her house is in looks really peaceful, I love the nature completely surrounding it. And the inside looks super comfortable and cozy. I love everything about her and her residence. I feel like I could call her after I had a bad day and she’d invite me over to drink some non caffeinated tea and sit on the porch with her or watch movies.
Okay forget college Im becoming a mermaid
+S.A Impavido I still went to college, and could not be doing what I'm doing without that experience and education :) stay in school!!! :)
Mermaid Linden
There should be! Like if someone asks whats your major you can say...pshhh girl I specialize in being a pro mermaid. Whats yours?
+S.A Impavido Ahahahahahahaha! :) Love it!!!!!
at 0:50 I am already blown away. Man shes not doing it because she likes fairytales or something, she really LOVES everything about it!! She IS indeed a mermaid. I actually feels so happy for her because she gets to do what she really wants, looking at how she even has shell themed mirror and cute mermaid mug!!
I just love her personality! 💓
:)
She’s hot! Both on land and in the sea!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Major props to this woman! Bringing education to children in a way they understand. Not only is that a wild breath hold but to swim like that you have to be so strong!
I have BEEN obsessed with mermaids for YEARS
same lol

Dang gurl. Those lungs, are you sure this is just a job and your not a real mermaid? I can’t comprehend the amount of practice.
Awwww, shucks...thanks!!! I think I'm as close as you can get ;)
I like that she’s not one of those performers that just put half of their heart into it. I’m sure it has its ups and downs like any other job, but it’s good to that it seems like something she fully enjoys.
Aww she's like a real mermaid! Her personality and goals, what an amazing mer - person!

I love people who dive deep into their interests. She has the purest intentions- educating children, keeping their imaginations alive, and protecting the ocean. She has to get paid well too. Her house is awesome.
Shoutout to the person who created Silicone Mermaid tails so people's dreams of being a mermaid can actually come true for once like this.
Not to forget the inventor of the monofin, too. I hope to try one sometime.
I wanted to be a mermaid when I grow up. But my father told me to not have dreams that are not going to come true. I remember locking myself to my room and crying for almost 16 hours.
fujinnai tomea12
16 hours is sort of bullcrap, but cool. Just work out, take swimming lessons, practice swimming with a tail with no monofin, then try a monofin.
Well that's sad! My parents told me I could be whatever I wanted so I decided to be a cat. Didn't work out but for awhile there I believed. 😊
You can do whatever you want just make goal (a small one) and from there you decide what you wanna do
fujinnai tomea12 poor u
fujinnai tomea12 THIS WOMAN PROVED YOU WRONG AND DONT LISTEN TO HIM LISTEN TO YOUR FUCKIN HEART ❤️❤️
I'm so jealous!!! She is so pretty, talented, and super smart. Where can I sign up to be a mermaid too?
+Ella Rose You just (mer)made my day! I hope you will also become a mermaid, as I am certain that you are also very lovely, smart, talented and can do anything you set your heart to!!!! :)
Wow she partnered with Body Glove to produce a good adult monofin I can afford. It feels really stable, efficient, and comfy on my feet. Can't wait to finally try swimming in it.
*MY LIFE IS A LIE*

L'Oreal Voluminous Waterproof in Brown-Black. All of the other colors run.....good luck!
oh yay i have that one, thankyou
Perfect...you're in great shape!!!!
I really respect all the research she does for her job. You wouldn't initially expect someone in this field putting so much effort into it, but she does and I love it. ❤️
She's so positive and happy, quite remarkable how her career suits her
Thank you :))))))
I just 🖤 your home!
...How much did it cost?😮

My mom: Mermaids aren't real! You're highschool now--
*shows the video*
Mom: *Oh crap--*
Mermazing ;)
Mermaid are real i was on vacation i on a ship there is a tsunami but a small one and i saw a mermaid
@@rakheenbrotherbackupchanne7863 no their not that's just someone in a costume
Mas Yadi if you were on a ship and a tsunami happened, you wouldn’t be sharing it around like that. Also, even a “small tsunami” isn’t small. Secondly, no, a real mermaid wasn’t in the ocean, it was most likely a whale or orca! Professional Mermaid are in big pools and Aquariums. So, I don’t really believe you, but others can. It’s fine.
Thanks again
This is the coolest shit ever. Wish I could do something ilke this but I'd be so nervous to go in front of crowds that I would drown xD I think what people also never think about is the amount of training it takes to be able to swim around and hold your breath for so long. Definitely not easy!
She's living my best life.
And here I am still snacking at night and watching TH-cam videos.
Her personality is so contagious... she's so lovely!
this is legit my real life goals
+Emily Weiss Follow your heart! Everything is possible!
I want this to be my job!
I freakin love swimming!
same!
I watched mermaid videos as a kid and I watched THIS one and I still remember it. I’ve searched up mermaid videos because I’m in the pools which I haven’t done in a long time for personally reasons. Being a mermaid makes me love to go in the pools 😭😭 love this videos still
I found this girl so cute
+RainbowScarf That's what I thought too! She's such a sweetheart
+RainbowScarf Awww, shucks! I'm blushing :)
+apple bee Thank you :) *blushes*
+Mermaid Linden y8u know the cool th7ng i recently got told that when ever we went somewhere like a marine place i hadto be the first to see the animals my friends found sea dollers and throwing them around
i told them to stop cause that is offensive to mermaids
+Animal Lover I appreciate you taking action to help your friends see the importance of protecting ocean creatures....you are a true mermaid at heart! THANK YOU!!!
Her sink is what I want for my birthday♥
You have inspired me to become a mermaid when I'm older.I love the idea of teaching kids about the ocean in a fun way
+Miss Dani Wooohoooo!!!!!! :)

Dude: so what do you do for a living?
her:im a professional mermaid
Dude: *oh cool* and im sherlock holmes
Yup....conversations can go like that.....for sure!
Namjoons Tiddies and then the guy is also serious
Teacher: Kids remember "you can be anything you want"and so now im quite interested of what you want to be when you grow up
Other Kids: teacher, doctor, business woman, etc.
