I like your videos I’ve got 04 Kia Sedona I just replaced the water pump with a kit I timed it before I started and after I put everything back together and when I cranked it it made a clunking noise and now the crank want move and it’s not vapor locked
I have the same problem on the G4KD 2.0 KIA Sportage engine. It appears as if the rod bearing was never installed properly and ran No 2 bearing. I also noticed that no oil spurt in the sleeve happens as there is no hole in the connecting rod and bearing allowing for that when in motion.

I have a 2016 Optima with this engine. It has 107,000 miles on it. There is no knock at this point. I had the recall done, where they updated the knock sensor software. This update extends the warranty out to 150,000 miles. If I no longer use the car when the knock first appears, can I prevent the connecting rod failure?
I bought a used 2013 Kia Sorento LX SUV 3.5L 6cyl engine that supposedly only needed a new timing chain. My son-in-law auto mechanic replaced the timing chain but still heard a knock. He took the motor apart and found this problem. He is now looking for a Kia Sorento motor 2011-2013 like above to use in repairing my Kia. Not a rebuilt one. They are hard to find.

My car 2017 kia sorento engine berring gonne 1 time change .4 months again broke.
They have a recall out now, I don't know if I trust it thou, my car 2012 sonata been running like a dream never had engine issues. I feel like If I bring it in then they will mess with it where ill have promblems with it going forward.
Just had my engine blow up last night. threw the rod thru the engine block. I have a 2016 sonata.
