having had a hot tub for over a decade its nice hearing a sales man be honest about what they are selling and laying it all out the company who sold me mine never did any of that. thanks for the video. ill be coming to yall next year
He is being honest. 240w wiring will cost at least 1k. It's the thick wiring that cost. Platform is another 1k as well. They used pavers, sand, and 2x4. My tub was 13k. We got the big boy 8x8. 15k total. 5 years 0 financing. You don't see a increase in electric bill. They are very efficient.
Good morning, thank you so much for the kind words! Colorado is a beautiful state! If I was going to expand out of state, Colorado would be on the list! Thanks again!!
You're the best bro! Because of you I am almost assuredly purchasing a 220 volt Sundance Hot tub. Model to be determined later. I do like the (although fairly sppecific) the handle bars to get in or out of on the, I believe is the 880 series. Doing my due diligence and research at this time but heavily leaning on Sundance becasue of you.
Good morning, I like the handles a lot. I use them all the time on my personal hot tub. They come in handy for sure. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. You’re correct, the handles are on the 880 series. Thanks for watching!
Ok thanks, now that I have your attention. I went over to the Sundance website and looked for their dealer in my area. For some reason one came up in Miami. I live in Broward county (north of Miami-Dade county). I dont like so far the yelp negative reviews? What am.I to do? I would like to pursue Sundance hot tub and also have qualified reliable Hot tub service, (Master electrician 220 install & maybe HT base rock pit or paver). Sounds like that is a lot to ask for here in South Florida? Appreciate any advice? Thanks!
Question for you. My wife and I appear to trying to find a hot tub that doesn't exist. There are only two of us. We would prefer a hot tub with 2 loungers but these don't seem to exist. Plus we are both over 6 feet so to fit comfortable in a hot tub we need a minimum of 7 feet and many brands need 8 feet ish in length. We don't need 4-6 seats or doo dads. We want a great theraputic spa large enough for us to be comfortable in. So far out only choice seems to be to but some giant 7x7 or 8x8 hot tub. Any ideas?
Good morning, since the hot tub isn't designed to have an additional heater, I wouldn't do it. This could cause issues with regulating the water temperature. I am not saying it's not possible and it wouldn't work but it won't be as easy as just adding an additional heater. You'll have to consult the factory and look at the plumbing schematics to make an educated decision. There's also electricity to consider. The heater will be drawing additional amps which may require a larger wire size or a breaker with a higher amp rating. I personally don't think this is a good opton. Hope this helps!
I like the ability to move the jets( Bullfrog). You are correct that after we found the spot we liked them we did not move them. But it was nice to be able to move them and find the ideal spot.
How much does a car cost? How much does a house cost? How much does a cost? It sucks, but without a more detailed request, the answer is always "it depends". Any video estimating any costs will also become obsolete as prices change over time, inflation, etc... GREAT info here though on what considerations should be taken and what questions you need to ask yourself.
Good afternoon, prices do vary on economy, inflation, and current market conditions. The idea of the video is to give someone the idea that there’s more to buying a hot tub than clicking buy now on the internet. Thanks for watching!
Good morning, it’s very important to ask your dealer if the hot tub is convertible. This means it can be wired 115v or 220v. Yes, by changing the jumpers and or dip switches on the circuit board most 115v hot tubs are convertible to 220v. Hope this helps!
Good afternoon, I would have to agree with that logic as prices have definitely gone up. However, we still have swim spas the start out around 20k. Hope this helps!
I am in the process of getting the electrical run for the hot tub. I am looking at a Sundance 680 series they are putting in a 50 amp line do you recommend I just get the 60 -amp?
Good morning, if you buy a 680 series that can be wired for 60 amps, then absolutely. The smaller 680 series hot tubs can’t be wired for 60 amps so I would just make sure. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
@@thomaspetito6923 Good evening, In my opinion, I would definitely wire it for 60 amps. The difference in price should be very little and having all the jets pumps and heater working at the same time will assure comfort in the winter months. Hope this helps!
Good morning, no, there’s really not an option available. However, normally there’s a way that you can hide the wire and make it look seamless. A really well rounded electrician should be able to help you with this. Hope this helps!

I think jacuzzis are way over priced
Good points, most spa packs can be wired either 120v or 220 by the jumper inside?

Question I am in the process of building a home. Should I get a 220 volt connector
Good evening, I would definitely do 220 in my opinion. The hot tub will heat better, stay hotter, and be all around more efficient!
@@atlantahottubcenter which also means the the proprietary parts such as the heating element for example will last longer.
what Sundance hot tub starts at 6,000?I was quoted over 10,000 for a Sundance 680. Maybe there’s a big markup.
