    Great video! With the frog ease system on the Aspen, do you only shock once a month? If so how much non chlorine shock do you use? Also how often do you suggest running the pump if we typically use the hot tub a few days a week, 12 months a year? More than 12 hrs? 24 hrs?

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good afternoon, you may need to shock it more than once a month depending on how often you use the hot tub. I shock mine around 4 times a month or weekly after a use. I use my hot tub 3-4 times a week. The hot tub has automation in place so it will run the jet pumps at noon briefly everyday to keep the inner plumbing clean. The circulation pump should be set to around 18 hours a day if you're using it 3-4 times a week. Remember, that the @ease system is basically a drip system that runs off your circulation pump Hope this helps!

    Thanks for all your great videos. Picked up an 880 today and getting ready to have it delivered.
    I’ve heard you mention that your delivery team shims the hot tub to get it near level. Do you have more information on how your team shims?
    My concrete patio pad has a 1.5” slope over 89”
    Thanks and I look forward to your answer.

      Good morning, we rip wedges from pressure treated 2x4s. Normally 6 or 7 depending on size of hot tub. However, I normally suggest pouring some self leveling concrete or putting down some crush and run instead. Most contractors, concrete, and deck people can take care of this for you. You can also do a small platform. That’s really the best way. That’s my opinion. Hope this helps!

    Hello do you recommend putting some kind of stickers or tape to help with traction on the inside step in the hot tub? What is your opinion of the under the hot tub handles?

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good morning, I’ve had numerous people of the years use different shower mats with suction cups for traction. However, they will need to replaced periodically and I don’t have any personal experience with this but I’ve heard good things. Hope this helps!

    Hey Brian, I love your videos and appreciate the information. I just purchased a Cameo 880 series tub (Miami, FL), which should be delivered next week. This will be our first hot tub and have a question reference filling it up with water first time. Do you remove the filter and place the water hose inside to fill or just place the hose in the filter compartment with filter in place? We would love any further tips you can provide for new tub owners.

    • @atlantahottubcenter

      Good morning, in short, leave the filter in but make sure to place the hose it the filter well with the filter and fill it. Here’s a great video explaining the process. I posted the link below

    I would like to see you do a video on the 980 series like this. I have a 980 but it's still nice to see these videos. I would love to be able to see how I could turn my hot tub to 106 and the other question I have is every time I turn off the breaker to during my tub and turn it back on I feel like it's resetting my filter change clean cycles so I can never trust what is on the display of when I should be changing and cleaning my filters.

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good morning, changing it to 106 will require a technician. There’s jumper settings on the circuit board. If you where to make a mistake it could be costly. The 980 series demo is coming soon. As far as the filter cycles, do you have SmartTub? Hope this helps!

    • @JeremyJamesDec15
      @JeremyJamesDec15 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@atlantahottubcenter Yes I have Smart tub but I feel like anytime I turn off the power to drain the water and then I turn back on the power it resets all my filter settings I could be wrong on this but I feel like that is what is happening I have had my tub now for almost a year and never got one notification to change clean or do anything with filters.

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JeremyJamesDec15 Good afternoon, on your SmartTub it should show you how many days until your reminder. May I ask what it says? The settings shouldn’t reset when you turn the hot tub off and on. Your dealer should call the factory and ask them the next steps to resolve this issue. The technical department at the factory can see your SmartTub from their desk and advise accordingly. Hope this helps!

    Thanks for the videos, they a very helpful. I just had a Aspen 880 delivered 6 weeks ago in NY. The 12pm Noon Cleanup Cycle has been running Pumps 1, 2 and 3 consecutively for 1 minute each as the Manual indicates it should. However, the blower cycle has not run for the 1 minute as the manual indicates it should as well. Is this an error in the manual or do I need a service call? Thank you

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good afternoon, this depends. Are you talking about the blow out cycle, pre set filter cycles, or are you sure it’s the clean up cycle? I just want to make sure we’re talking about the clean up cycle. I also tried calling you this afternoon. Feel free to call me back of course but I’ll explain below

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Reason I say this is because if you just turned the power off and back on, that would be your blow out cycle. The first cycle at noon that comes on after you turn it off and on is the blow out cycle. The blower doesn’t turn on in a blow out cycle. However, after the initial blow out cycle you’ll revert to the clean up cycle every day at noon and the blower will run as part of the cycle. This is automated to keep the inner plumbing of the hot tub clean. Hope this helps!

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Now, if your blower isn’t working and you’re in a clean up cycle then you may need a J68 reset which your dealer can provide. Hope this helps!

    Hi there. Really appreciate your content. We just bought a cameo but we can't find much info on the new flex full insulation. Would u consider doing a video about it or do you have any info on how it performs you could share? Thankyou!

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good morning, flex fill is right behind full foam insulation. This is a great way to insulate! Both full foam and flex fill have its pros and cons but that's really more for the technicians working on it. As far as performance goes they're very close. Sundance has gone back and forth due to supply chain restraints but normally does use full foam. Again, nothing to worry about! Hope this helps!!

      Good afternoon, it’s a tough one! I would feel the jetting, sit in them dry, decide whether or not a base on the hot tub is important or not. Jacuzzi doesn’t have a base. Check reviews on the dealer and make sure the dealer has an in house service team to support you. From here I would make my decision. Hope this helps!

    Hey Brian thank you again for all of the great videos. Just received our new tube here in Vermont, 880 Optima, cold weather package, smart app, stereo. First the cold weather package seals the tub completely. Had to remove wrap and insulation to get to components i CAN NOT find the 3/4 drain. not on either end of main compartment. Have you seen or heard of Sundance eliminating this drain hose? Question 2, through my research this model is supposed to have 24 hr filtration? I believe you need to program the filter to do so? It would be awesome if you could
    do a short video on the programming of filters to work with the Clear View button on the control panel. Not sure you have covered the complete process, chemicals and filtration PLUS programming for the best results. Thank you again for all of your help.

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good morning, sometimes the drain tub may fall off the clip and end up behind the reflective material. If you reach in behind it, I think you’ll find it. As far as 24hr filtration, do you have SmartTub. That’s the easiest way to program it. Let me know. Thanks for watching!

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I assume by Smartapp you mean SmartTub not SunCloud. If so just set your primary filtration to 24hrs. Depending on use level you might want to up your automated filter cycles. Hope this helps!

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Remember, everything depends on use level. Once you fine tune it, it’ll basically take care of itself as long as you maintain pH levels. Hope this helps!

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Furthermore, the more you use it, the longer your filter cycles should be. The more you use it, the more you’ll have to adjust your pH levels and so on but I always set it to 24hr circulation. Hope this helps!

      @@atlantahottubcenter Brian thank you, YES I have the smart tub. So set the primary filter #(1) from 8Am to 7:59Am. To run the ozone and Clear Ray bulb 24hrs a day. OK to run the water fall as well or shut that off? #2 Secondary Filter, have the tub run with filters twice a day for 10 minutes each, every day. I understand the need to adjust chemicals according to use, as i have owned a spa for 35 years. Trying to understand the new system as my old tubs had 24 hr circulation but they did not need programing. Thinking I may go with the frog ease system as i have used the mineral cartridge's and chlorine always. Brian does the tub get chlorine from the frog ease during that 24hr cycle or should you add a little every day. Thank you again.

    Tried out a 880 Optima today after driving some 84 miles hoping it was finally the one after seeing about twenty of your videos. Likely everything about it but the power. The idea this thing beats to up is over blown. Others do better. Two seat will hit you hard but poo poo some others that do better is false. Yes, some might be preference and some might not like having too much power but the idea of a good tub is you should be able to dial it down. To accomplish a really good seat, one had to use several diverters and close off other seat’s power by turning several jets off to het the sort of power from other manufactures. If anything, Sundance is a soaker hot tub and not fully a hydrotherapy tub in all four seats- on this model at least.
    The Good Stuff:
    The hand rails are very nice.
    Controls easy and will flip to face you i. the tub which is nice.
    cover system with the hydronic lock as advertised. Solid well built.
    The cool down seats are lovely.
    Being able to sit on the filter is very nice. I didn’t get to try the foam seat, but I got the picture and will say that the salesman is right on about how nice it is!
    Nice power to the foot well. Could get calves, IT band, and gluts on those if one contorts themselves or drops their body down into the well. Easy enough to balance to do so.
    Smelled fresh and clear of chorine smell and I just popped in without an appointment.
    Most power yet in the hip jets of all the manufactures I’ve tried.
    Well designed cup holders!
    Water fountain that worked with the water running and great sound. Awesome feature!
    Comfortable head rest and seats. They would be easy to clean and replace if ever needed.
    Solid diverters but not as quiet as Jacuzzi’s diverters
    Nice sounding circ pump
    little grip on the shell to prevent slipping could be the speckled type of shell of the floor model
    The construction does appear sound except for the weak pumps and somewhat noisy diverters compared to others if put in max positions when attempting to maximize power to a seat or in this case a max of two.
    The Bad:
    Odd placement of the foot jets. Should be lower on the foot well to get heel and mid foot instead of toes. Again powerful. Also, funny spaced for your two feet. Unnatural. Nice if more doomed like other manufacturers.
    You’ve been billing Sundance as some really serious Hydrotherapy and some others as soakers, but that was only the case in two of the chairs and I can’t say the experience was super intense as with some other manufacturers. Also required tons of work to get the two chairs to that point where they would deliver said power from an even force for say four people in the corners. A lot of turning jets off and diverters. Just one example, the Bullfrog was far, far superior in power all around, but had several issues into itself. However, when it comes to power it is far, far superior and easier to het the power where you want. That thing will beat you up. While even under the best circumstances rhis thing is not nearing you up. The idea that it is anything like “ a deep tissue massage and you won’t need your cain is load of … I feel for the salesmanship and wasted a Saturday folks. The thing is they do so many things right, but fall short in the hydrotherapy department. Maybe all those clamped and glued blah, blah are only good under certain pressure. Maybe those reinforced hoses are just for show when the HP isn’t there?
    There is no perfect tub I have found yet. And I don’t expect to find one. If you don’t need worked over this tub is a great family tub. If you are disabled like me and you need real hydrotherapy this ain't it folks despite what you are being told. I’ll be driving a few hours to test out a master spas top two tiers next hoping they check enough boxes. For me the most important box is rhe hets and maybe moving homers that fail are better than jets that look big but have no bark! Still can’t believe people buy these expensive tubs without wet testing them. Mind boggling, but some people got money to spare and little time.
    By the way the bullfrog review is highly misleading. If I end up settling for a bullfrog-because it has the power I need but lacking some other things-few people are EVER changing the position of the seats once they got them where they want them. You put the packs where you want them and just like any tub that is then your configuration. The neck blaster if you like that sort of thing-i did not as too noisy-goes in the deepest chair. It becomes rather obvious which lack should go where if you choose correctly.
    Really, really wanted to take this one home. So close, but no cigar.

    • @Sidewaysgamer
      @Sidewaysgamer ปีที่แล้ว

      It's odd that you didn't get good power with the jets. I feel like the power and massage options it has rivals almost any hot tub
