the resistors don't have negative and positive terminals, you can search it on Google also, and this encoder supports 5v to 24v so it's not burned don't worry. if 5k resistor not working use 1k or 10k resistors.

okay, I explain a little. this steering wheel software (RFR Config) only supports one encoder and three potentiometers. but this setup has one encoder and four potentiometers. (encoder for the steering wheel and four potentiometers for gas, brake, clutch, and handbrake) So, in this case, we have two options to use it. 1. we can use clutch, gas, brake, and h-shifter without handbrake. (manual Gear) 2. we can use gas, brake, and handbrake with (paddle shifters or auto gear.) The next solution is to use a separate game controller for the handbrake. this method I'm currently using. Bro ,for me with the 775 motor, when I turn the wheel, there is a screeching sound and the torque is very low, and the bts7960 driver gets very hot. I added another motor and tested it with 12V 10A and 20A, but there was no difference, what is the reason?
@@zudumalli I just figured it out using elastic bands (not rubber bands), simply wrap it like a knot around the steering axle and hot glue it for extra protection for the center point. The elastic band I used is quite thick and provides decent tension/torque, and I’d doubt it’ll break anytime soon even after intense usage. The small issue is the frame, I used a cardboard frame which also where I wrapped the elastic band, the cardboard structure is bending when I wrapped around the cardboard, but thankfully I fixed this issue again by putting some sort of “roll-cage” to strengthen the structure by hot gluing a metal wire on it (in this case it is better to use something like a wooden tube, any some sort of metal stick, or PVC pipes since I don’t have it even something similar to that, atleast that it would fit without cutting it).

Probably not, the PCB in these controllers are cheaply made and I think the simply processor/IC can’t keep up with such precise inputs. Idk what doubts your having, but if it had to do with the software, anything is possible, my knockoff CH340 Arduino Uno R3 works by using vJoySerialFeeder, the CH340 cannot be used as an HID inputs through UnoJoy. If it’s about pricing, the Uno R3 CH340 only costs $3 minimum and the rotary encoder only around $1

It is best to use an EV bike motor if you are using a real car steering wheel (Model: MY1016Z2). It needs more torque to provide better feedback. and thank you for your kind words.❤️❤️

Thank you and welcome! The maximum rotation of the potentiometer is only 300 degrees. So, use the gear ratio of a fan gearbox and get 900 degrees from the potentiometer.

I fuck€d up my Thrustmaster TMX wheel, I did the roll barrels mod changing the “crunchy” steering for something more smooth, but on my ignorance I forgot to put some grass to lubricate it, and also the tension was much, so playing one day. The force feedback broke up. Also, on my desesperate and again, ignorance, I thought it would be easier to open it and fixed it, I touch mother board, and having a very nice non-skills on handleling electrónic components, I put much force trying to stick out some cable with de screw driver and I “stab” something on mother board who actually sparked jajajajaa. You can imagine I ensambles it and now don’t even turned on. I thought was something wrong on power supply, so I took it off (after 1-2 months of learning and counsoulting videos) n changed it to a laptop power supply. And guess what? Didn’t turned on JAJAJA. I want my wheeel back, I’m a younger studyhungry boy, no money to another “expensive “ wheel

No sir the firmware only supports the leonardo R3 board only. This wheel software is very old (2016), and the developer made it for this board only.

Reset the settings in the wheel config software. that's a bug.
Isn't there a way to connect the encoder and 4 potentiometers? To be able to use the handbrake without the need for the joystick
No, Wheel config software only supports 3 analog axes.

When connecting to pins 0 and 1, you have to connect through two resistors. It is shown in my (DIY spinning wheel) video.

First Install the drivers for the controller. Then go to ''set up USB game contriollers'' in windows and check if it works.
