Besides the highway (and the hilarious Acme-style Trail Ends Here sign) the campground looks great! We love to kayak too but didn't have a chance to go yet this summer. We'll have to make it a point to go soon.
Your video is a delightful blend of informative boat ramp tips, serene waters, and the charm of a fantastic campground. Thank you for this beautiful sharing.
What a fantastic 🏞The serene lake, lush greenery, and peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect retreat for nature lovers. Thanks friend for sharing the insights and tips for camping there - it's incredibly helpful for anyone planning a visit! ⛺🌳
We are on our way in a couple of weeks to our waterfront site which is in demand. This will be our 3rd visit there. I agree with your likes and dislikes. We didn't appreciate campers behind us walking thru our site to get to the waterfront area. We were in site 31. Do you live near Campkins ? We buy our trailers from them. Thanks for your video. We saw more of the park thru your eyes.
I wouldn't like people cutting through my site either!! Bad camping manners. We are pretty close to Campkins and like the service there so far 👌 Enjoy your next trip!
The lookout point on the first trail was disappointing, I thought the trail itself looked nice though. I would enjoy the Discovery trail that goes along the water. I am glad you two did end up enjoying your stay even though the park was so close to the highway.
Checking out your channel here and this tour style camping creation⛺completely understand the concern about seeing and hearing the highway while camping @ 2:33 nice transition to POV kayaking scenery🐢Thank you for taking us along! Full watch support always 15:59👍🏽47 and greetings from USA's Mid Atlantic Region✌🏽
glad you did get to kayak finally in a bit of sun in the next morning! Not my favourite activity but looks like a great lake for it! its so transformed by the blue sky!
Well as always a good revue, and another thought for your channel that might be interesting. We will start our camping season at the end of September (retired) until December or snow, which ever comes first. I enjoy peace and quiet with cooler temps, something you should try.
A beautiful park. Not a fan of being so close to the highway. I like that small sandy beach. You've been getting out on the water for many of these videos. I'm guessing you guys have your own equipment. Y'all have a third kayak for when I visit someday 😁? Some amazing trails and lake views.
This looks like the absolute perfect place to set up camp! Its just the perfect distance away from the water where you have the snug safety of the forests around you and the distant sound of splashing against the shoreline! And the light as the sun begins to fall is simply incredible! Jealous of you as always!
Oh no I would not have liked how close the site was to the Highway. I feel like going to the campground should be peaceful. But at least it isn’t as bad as the site with the chain fence. Thanks for the rundown!
Haven't made it back yet but at the end of the month we are trying a new campground kind of nearby. Hoping it's not as loud with road noise and we are definitely bringing the kayaks.
We stayed there last September and unfortunately stayed on site 16 with a toddler….our main issue though with with the wardens. They were on a complete power trip and threatened to fine my parents for their music in the middle of the day (which you couldn’t hear past their site) it was so bad!
Oh no! That's one near the road right!? We enjoyed the park but the road noise was sometimes a bit annoying. That's too bad about the wardens, we barely saw any during our visit.
@@TheAverageTourist yep that’s the one but we made the most of it by tucking our pop up farther back into the site making it pretty private. The highway was definitely loud though. It is overall a nice park and we did really enjoy kayaking and paddle boarding! We just couldn’t believe how brutal the wardens were towards my parents making us not wanting to return.
Oh that's too bad about the wardens really ruined what could be a good experience. At least you made the most of the site - still so close to that highway!
This is laughable. We are in our mid seventies and no way is this park too much to walk. We walked every inch of it a few times while at Sharbot Lake. Kayaks are not too heavy to portage. It's not a long walk from the parking lots to where boats are put in. The discovery trail got much more difficult after the point where you turned around and I fear you young folk would've had trouble finishing the route. The only part we agree with is the traffic noises but not much can be done about that, unfortunately.
Well, thanks for your kind and understanding comment! If you've followed any of our previous videos, you would know that my husband has a mobility issue, and that makes the steep inclines at this park extremely difficult for him, not to mention how spread out it was. I'm glad that in your 70s you don't have to take that into consideration and find it laughable when others do.
@@TheAverageTourist I apologise, I have never seen any of your previous posts and there was nothing in this review referencing mobility issues. I could only compare our experiences to this video review and as it sounded very complaining I felt the need to defend this lovely campground.

Campground has all the amenities required for camping, the discovery trail looks good. Overall a nice camping area.

Great campground 😊
We enjoyed it!

Once again, a nicely detailed review of this campground. Enjoyed the views and the discovery trail
Another insightful review listing the pros and cons and your experience. Thanks for sharing.
Haha it had A LOT of highway noise. Great park otherwise!
Agreed.

I'm not a camping person, but that all looks really nice! Amazing that a place like that exists right beside a highway.
The lookout point on the first trail was disappointing, I thought the trail itself looked nice though. I would enjoy the Discovery trail that goes along the water.

The lake park looks pretty cool for adventures. The ridge hike and lake look good for kayaking. It's a shame about the road noise though.

Even though Sharbot lake didn’t turn out as nice as you both would of liked it, it still looked beautiful.

September camping is my favourite. Sadly this year we only have 2 trips booked for fall. Hopefully more next year. Enjoy your cooler camping 🏕
Thanks for the reply, I enjoy your channel.@@TheAverageTourist

I love this amazing park.
Very informative as always.
The lake looks beautiful.
The walks look lovely too. Very peaceful
Thanks so much for another amazing video. Love your reviews thanks so much for your hard work
Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks!
Have you checked out Murphy's Point Prov Park? I think you'll like it. Maybe next year?
It's on my list to try to get next summer. I've heard good things about it!
Interesting but this place with all those campers. Not for me. The noise is insane.
The noise was pretty loud at this one from the highway.

A very beautiful campground and the forestry looks very vibrant, love having a lake next to the campground
Enjoyed it again.
How long is the drive into town? Not so much to get supplies but mostly just for scenery
It wasn't too far maybe about 5 minutes to the brewery and about 30 mins to Perth.
Really like the colour of sunset falling on water, good you got access to water area. Nice camping experience.

Have you made it back out this way? Wonder if you found any new tips or preferences for going on your boat?

@@TheAverageTourist great! I can’t wait to see your review on that campground!
The walk ins are great.
Fishing is good in both lakes.
The fall is best mostly trucks at night.
The discovery trail is nice.
It was a nice park, despite the noise we would definitely go back.
Go in the fall. Less bugs less people although since covid camping 🏕 has become more popular.
Great information about the boat ramp parking! The morning on the water looks so peaceful. I agree the water access is a great feature.
Great video! This looks like a beautiful and fun park! 😀

The Provincial park is surrounded by nature. All nature lovers enjoy being to such places including me. Hiking and kayaking would be great fun.
I is very nice
Cool place 👍🏻
I was expecting him to say all stuff and no fluff 🤣
He did in one take 🤣

It looks so relaxing! Thanks for a great video 😊
