I love the fact this movie has Chris' entire family in it. Aside from his brother Luke playing the stage Thor again, his wife plays one of Thor's lover in the beginning with the giant wolf, his son is young Thor running in the woods, and his daughter is Gor's daughter

It’s just women who think it’s wrong for men to cry. They think it makes us “weak”. I’ve straight up been told by women in the past they think it’s “gross” and that they don’t want to deal with their man’s emotions and it should only be the other way around. Not to mention that EVERY time I’ve opened up and been emotional with either a girlfriend, or a female I knew, all besides one of my exes, they turned around and threw it back in my face when they were upset with me. It really has damaged me and how I interact and treat women. They almost don’t see us as humans, cuz they almost never step out of their little box of being s woman to see what it’s like for anyone else. They expected me to sponge all their emotions and they refused to do the same for me, it’s just not healthy for our mental health to be treated that way, no to mention how unfair it is. Something needs to be done because I’m sick of it. Aside from my grandfather and best friend passing this last February, I couldn’t even tell you the last time I’ve cried or opened up. Im sure if your a man too you already know how women can be with mens vulnerability, that’s is, if you’ve dated that is. And it’s resulting in so many of us just being done with dating and the population rate is dropping, so fast. Crazy behavior has crazy consequences

I don't think it is weird, or wrong, to cry as an adult. I found I'm more susceptible to crying after the death of my mom. Now I start tearing up in a store when I hear a young child crying for not being able to walk out with the toy they want. It just reminds me of what I want back.

I'm actually thankful to this movie, on the day that my father died, I decided to watch this movie as way of distraction (but me and my friends already had plans on watching this movie but on the day we decided to watch it on the cinema) I received a heartbreaking news that my father died. I am away from my father since my parents are seperated, the fact that I haven't seen him for 8 years😭. I told my friends that I can't come with them and watch the movie but I don't want to be alone either so in the end, I went with them. I cried and laugh, that's why I'm thankful because for a short time I distract myself from the pain and regret that I was feeling that day :)) especially to the goats😂

She claims that she never did any movie nudity, and when you see the movie you have to wonder what does she count as, "Nudity"! In the opening credits, she is floating in, Zero Gravity, as she changes from one outfit to another! 😆

Mark 16:38. Once upon a time, "CBS", had a series named, "The Incredible Hulk", that evolved into occasional made-for-television movies. In one, he teamed up with, "Daredevil". In another, with "Thor". The final one is, "Death of the Incredible Hulk". His method of dying in that movie was.... "Spoofed"? In one of the newer "MCU" movies, by having him survive that method!
But anyway, back then, in the comics of the time, there was this medical doctor, whose name I forget now, that used the hammer to transform back and forth, between being himself and being, "Thor".
But in the movie, that doctor merely used the hammer to summon, "Thor", like a genie from a lamp!
I think all of that lead to, Thor, just being himself all the time. ⚡

To me, this is a movie about the denial stage of grief.
Thor has already been through anger, bargaining and depression. Now he's denying the sheer weight of what he's lost by overcompensating with his goofy side.
Jane's in denial about her upcoming death, but also about the fact that there's nothing she can do about it (The most clear-cut example of denial)
King Valkyrie is in denial about the near-total loss of her culture, doing whatever she can to keep it alive in any form, even turning her new home into a tourist trap. The Asgardian plays are now entertainment for children, the last air-worthy ship is a theme park ride.
Amusingly, this means that the cringey Direct Line advert she was in is entirely in-character.

Eternity is the physical embodiment of the cosmos and the personification of time. Each universe of the multiverse contains an Eternity. He also has a sister named Infinity who is the personification of space. Their authority is only surpassed by the Living Tribunal who is essentially an all powerful judge and watches over the the multiverse meaning theres only one Living Tribunal.

Could it be, because they had their own, "Marvel Comics", title for awhile? They even got a movie! "KISS versus the Phantom of the Park"! They're a group of musicians with, Superpowers! 😎
Somehow, I guess that lead to the in-house creation of their own original character, "Dazzler", who doesn't require contracts and residuals like they did. 🤔

So yes, this story does happen in the comics... Kinda. Gorr's origin is very similar. But he's far more of a problem and Jane wasn't involved. By the end, it takes 3 Thor's from 3 different times to finally beat him down. He's finally taken down by his son in a moment of hubris.
Also, in the comics, his goal wasn't to reach Eternity to wish the gods away. He was building a God bomb to destroy them in every moment of time. And using enslaved gods to build it. Gorr is simply brutal

  • @G1Transformed

1:01:15 A wish from Eternity only works once. After Gorr made his wish, Eternity transformed into Gorr's daughter--Eternity is gone from the place it sat moments ago. I suspect Eternity will eventually take the name Singularity.
The Title of this movie forms a triangle. Thor: Love and Thunder. Thor = Mighty Thor (Jane), Love = Gorr's daughter and Thunder is the God of Thunder, Thor. The actress who played Gorr's daughter is Chris Hemsworth's actual daughter, so her accent is Australian. Taika is from New Zealand so you can hear the Kiwi accent from him.
Did you miss the joke with Korg's partner's name? Dwayne...who is a Kronan...which is a ROCK person. Dwayne "the Rock."
1:02:58 After Ragnarok Chris seemed to really enjoy playing Thor, and I think we have Taika to thank for that. Chris said that he's willing to play Thor for as long as the MCU would like to keep using him. Thor's on trajectory to be like his dad--he just adopted Gorr's daughter, which parallel's Odin taking Loki as his own son.
The Loki we see in the Disney Plus series is the same Loki that died, he's that Loki from 2012 and that's why Mobius showed him that file showing his death. He even told him that what he was watching was his story and that what he was watching had happened to him, not yet. He's different in the sense that his life trajectory took a massive turn when took the Tesseract, but he's the same Loki born of the same universe. He's a Loki of a different reality, which is what they called the different locations in time they went to in Endgame. The avengers changed the past, thus made new realities in place of what actually happened. Loki's still a variant, but not a variant from the Multiverse like the other Loki's we came across. Loki's just an earlier version of himself, like Gamora. Same Loki, same Gamora, but from a different reality.
Jane will likely return as Valkyrie. The MCU's Valkyrie, the King of New Asgard is actually name Brumhilda, though Thor calls her Val. She's the last of the Valkyrie, so I guess it doesn't...or didn't matter at the time, but I digress. Since she's doing Thor's job, ruling as King, she can't do hers, provide safe passage to those journey to Valhalla. In the comics, Jane becomes Valkyrie after her time as the Mighty Thor, so I wouldn't be surprised to see her return.

Then I think about her joking with Darcy and the choices she makes since, and realize she's got a major issue of being in denial about cancer, probably due to her mom's death. MCU phase 4 has been going back and forth with comedy and serious films.Anyway most of phase 4 has not been mostly comedy. Doctor strange 2,eternals,spiderman home coming, black widow etc.. are serious films with some humor. Now some have more humor then others. Most of the phase 4 shows are serious.(i think all of them) It's the dceu currently that has been most comedy.Heck the first dceu show peacemaker is action comedy.

Phase 4 has been more darker and more serious then the current dceu. Now she-hulk will a be comedy and black panther 2,will not be one for example.

Phase 4 overall has had more darker projects on average then the past phases if you look at doctor strange 2,eternals,spiderman no way home etc..and black panther has not come out yet and that looks really serious. Now overall phase 4 may have Only now become lighter on average because of,thor 4,she-hulk,i am groot recently. But it is overall phase 4 is darker then current dceu.Heck the first dceu show is peacemaker a action comedy.

Anyway most marvel movies now are not comedies.Only thor 4 is a action sci - fi comedy. Morubis i have not seen yet but it's not a comedy and it's not mcu.

I think Jane would really like the Hawkeye Disney+ series even more than J.V., and given that you both seem to enjoy some other MCU movies more than some other fans (e.g. Eternals), I think both of you would have a good time watching Hawkeye. It is honestly my favorite Disney+ show, followed by WandaVision. Plus, there are some fun connecting threads in the show I think J.V. would really enjoy. I do not want to say more or I could end up spoiling things. Personally, I do not hate this Thor movie, but I also do not love it. I like some parts, but really do not like some other parts. Ironically, this movie seems almost the polar opposite of Thor: The Dark World in terms of tone and style, but like The Dark World, it was both underwhelming but also underrated too. I do not think it is as bad as some fans say it is and I do think the movie is entertaining. For me, I think this movie went too far with the humor that it took away from the serious moments and the move felt like it had conflicting tones. Do not get me wrong, I still laughed a lot, but also rolled my eyes at other jokes. As a big Van Damme Fan, I did really enjoy Thor's leg split homage. I am very curious to see what, if any, deleted scenes this movie has and if it would've made the move more dramatic as are some of the rumors going around, even though the director said there are no deleted scenes worth seeing and this version is the director's version. But, I find that hard to believe. The entire scene with Zeus was completely unnecessary, in my opinion. I thought Jane's cancer storyline and her transformation into Thor should've been more of a focal point. In fact, because of Dr. Strange 2, I think I would've preferred if the Jane in this movie was from another parallel universe. I do like the 2nd half more than the 1st half and think the movie fares better if it is seen as more an action comedy. The part with the kids getting Thor's power really threw me off and made the ending less dramatic, at least for me.

I do believe that all Asgardians are considered to be different levels of Gods to humans, they were all born in Asgard just like If you were born and lived on Mount Olympus you were considered to be a Greek God.

This is another hillarious movie and just so you know Natalie really did work out for this movie and even drank stuff to stay fit. She said it was fun but she wouldn't want to have to drink those things again cause not all of them tasted good. The screaming goats were just strange but I do love Christian as the bad guy though in the comics he is a lot stronger than he is here in the movie. It was interesting to see Malissa Macartny here though and Russle Crow as well. Natalie and Tessa are real life best friends so they let that through with Valkrie and Jane in this movie which I think is very cool. Jane died because Natalie doesn't want to play her anymore, she only came back for this one because she wanted Jane to have a good ending.

23:01 *JV to Jane:* _"You said Mjölnir weird."_ ● Hey *Jane,* now you can tell *JV* he's been saying _'Gorn'_ *the whole time,* when it is _'Gorr.'_ 😁🤣
48:09 *JV:* _"The Mighty Thor. . .that's her comic book name."_
"The Mighty Thor" has always been Thor's moniker. Just like the _"Amazing Spider-man,"_ most of Thor's comics were titled *_"The Mighty Thor."_*
*EDIT:* Btw, the character's name is *_Heimdall_* pronounced /hiym-dahl/ not _'Handle.'_ 🤭😄

Love your reactions guys, thank you 😊.
I too don't want to leave my child through an illness like cancer or heart disease. Best way I've found is to not eat animals or their secretions. I did a lot of research into it and studies show that eating animals and their secretions massively increases our risk to certain cancers and heart disease. Processed meat and red meat are classed as group 1 and 2 carcinogens.
By going plant based (or vegan, for the animals), you actually reduce your risk of these illnesses further as whole plant foods contain nutrients that fight off these illnesses.
I'm sure if you saw the way these animals are raised and killed you'd pick the plant based option too. And it's better for the environment. It's a win win really.
Something to think about 👍 I want to keep watching your reactions for years to come yet 😊

Eternity isn't a god, its far superior to them. It's a celestial entity, like Death, the Living Tribunal, or the One Above All. It wasn't a genie in the comics and represents the physical space of the universe in physical form. Bringing these kind of beings into the MCU is incredibly exciting stuff even if they make changes. This is top tier power of Marvel over even the celestials. Dropping Eternity was huge. Gods are specific to individual religions and cultures, these beings govern universes and some the whole multiverse. Similar concepts but the scale separates them.
