Good on Jane being the only reactor I’ve personally seen realize that none of the henchmen who know who Deadpool is talking about cuz he uses Francis instead of Ajax.
That’s the joke. Deadpool knows that lol. He just wants to piss Francis off more, because the thing he hates more than anything is people knowing his real name. He’s going to take them all out regardless, he’s a special forces veteran with 41 confirmed kills during his service. He’s strategically clearing out all the bottom level grunts first, and also name dropping Francis every chance he gets because he wants to piss Francis off even more by telling the lackeys who survive what Ajax’s real name is.
Just so you know in the comics, Deadpool did a 16 wall break first and there’s one where he ended up killing the whole crew that wrote the comics because they were so bad in Deadpool’s opinion
btw, since Jane mentioned the alliteration thing, that was one of Stan Lee's tricks. He was writing so many comics simultaneously, he gave a lot of his characters alliterative names to remember who was who. Hence, Peter Parker, Bruce Banner, Reed Richards, etc.
The exterior shots of Xavier school are of Hatley Castle, just outside of Vancouver. The same castle has been used in multiple superhero shows/movies, the 3 most prominent being the school for gifted youngsters in the x-men franchise, the Queen mansion in the Arrow TV show, and most notably as the Luther Mansion in Smallville.
A part of Deadpool's abilities he was injected with was actually taken from wolverines blood. Which is why he has the healing factor. And Deadpool and Wolverine have this on going rivalry that Deadpool takes as a friendship. He has a similar thing going on with spiderman. Spodermon! 😂 And Ryan Reynolds has been hounding High Jackman for years, to return as wolverine to be in a Deadpool movie. And recently. Hugh Jackman said he would.
@@TheOfficialPolo They don't specifically get into it in the Deadpool movie but Ajax or Francis "Fanny" Freeman is in the comics and does work on "Weapon X", or Weaopon 10. I assumed Ajax in the movie still has the same back story but being one of the only living remaining members of the clandestine Weapons operation I figured he branched of as a pseudo Department K. Indeed, however even the fox version quotes he got his powers through a mix of different x genes. And in the movie they only describe it as a serum to expose latent mutant genetics in the DNA. So they never fully explained what is in it. So they could retcon that out but they haven't yet.
fun fact, limping is a pain response the body uses to prevent you from putting to much weight onto an already damaged body part. so since francis doesnt feel pain he wont limp
It's funny that it was the Blade series of movies that can be thanked for introducing Ryan to the Deadpool comics. Until that point, he'd never heard of the character.
It was an R rated superhero film that blew the top off the box office. He had to fight for years to get it made properly, why he was in Wolverine: Origins as that bad version, they told him he could make it right and backed out. But this allowed other R rated films to be made like Logan
You brought up the point that his mutant ability is healing his cancer. Conversely, it is producing his cancer just as fast. Also, Francis' employees couldn't tell Deadpool where he was because they knew him as Ajax not Francis. That's the running gag in the movie.
Honestly my favourite thing about this channel is watching Justin's face every time he's let down she doesn't remember things or recognize references he's hyped to bring up
When I first saw the concept video way back around 2012 (I think thats when it was released), I felt like a kid getting 5 Christmas' at once! I know its a bit of a shocker for people who aren't slightly depraved like me and are expecting a normal marvel film, but I was still so excited to see you guys watch it!
In the comics his healing factor doesn't heal his cancer, in fact is enhances it. Because his cancer is part of him, his healing factor doesn't recognize his cancer as a problem. In the comics Deadpool's face isn't messed up because it's burnt, it's messed up because it's covered in tumors. But since his healing factor won't let him die, he's still alive, just riddled with cancer.
His face is messed up from a period of time where his healing factor was cut off. When it is working right, it essentially just keeps giving him new cells. It's also why he can regrow from body parts.
In the comics, Wade temporarily lost his healing factor, so his body was just healing itself at normal human rates. However, the cancer was growing at an even more rapid pace than before. It started to take over his entire face and body, riddling him with tumors. When his healing factor came back, it seems it wasn’t able to distinguish cancer cells from good cells, so it didn’t revert the damage caused. So from then on, Deadpool’s entire body and his whole face was permanently scarred, because he’s basically one gigantic, living cancer cell. . And even though he constantly collapses and dies as the cancer wins; his healing factor eventually kicks back in and wakes him up. Then years could go by and he collapses and dies. But the healing factor kicks back in and he wakes up. And it just repeats, over and over and over again.
Fun fact I didn't notice until someone pointed it out to me: Wade's search for "Francis" goes so badly because no one knows who he's talking about. Everyone knows him as "Ajax." (EDIT: Ha ha ha! As soon as I posted, you pointed it out!! Damn!)
There's been a long history of cinematic 4th wall breaking. Woody Allen used to do it a whole lot in his earlier films. It's been done on the stage and screen in musicals, and so on. She Hulk may have been the first to do it in a super hero comic book. But it was not invented in comic books or comic book movies. It was famously done through much of the novel, "The Once and Future King". And so on. And so on.
Yes, she-hulk was the first character in marvel comic history to break the fourth wall in 1989. The first ever Fourth Wall break in movie history actually was much longer ago than you’d probably have thought. The first true Fourth Wall Break in a movie was conducted by Mary MacLane in “Men Who Have Made Love To Me,” which released 106 years ago in 1918. In the film near the end, Mary, who portrays herself in the movie, interrupts the vignettes and directly talks to the audience watching the film.
In actuality, the fourth wall as a concept has been around since the 17th century, when French actor and play writer, Molière, described the Fourth Wall as “The hypothetical boundary that separates fiction from reality,” and how it is an important concept to be taken into consideration if one wishes to make a truly captivating play. The audience needs to be able to suspend belief and become fully invested in the fictional world playing out on stage before them. If they cannot suspend belief properly, they won’t be able to enjoy it to the fullest extent.

And then he completely burnt the bridge with Ryan Reynolds. Did the same thing on “Silicon Valley”. The guy is funny, but just a completely self-destructive person in real life. Not to mention the accusations from his college days. I don’t see TJ Miller acting again because he’s mental.
TJ Miller was appointed a psychologist by the judge of the train station incident, and he was diagnosed with some actual, severe issues. He was born with part of his frontal lobe simply missing. Because of that, it causes him terrible manic bipolar episodes where he experiences visual and auditory hallucinations. It was determined that this was what happened during that train incident, TJ Miller was experiencing one of this hallucinatory manic episodes. . Im not saying what he did is justified because of this, but there are actual reasons behind why that happened, more than him just doing it for the sake of doing it to be edgy or to hurt people. He literally doesn’t have parts of his brain. He unfortunately didn’t fully develop in the womb, and one of the things that happened was his brain for some reason just didn’t develop certain parts. It’s not bad enough that he’s completely helpless, but it’s bad enough that he can have some dangerous moments with hallucinations and becoming totally disconnected from reality. Thankfully, he’s been getting medical and psychological help for it.
@@kc1johnIf you look up the story behind it, you’ll see why. It’s not as simple as “He’s just a dick.” He literally didn’t develop parts of his frontal lobe when he was in the womb. He’s missing part of his brain. Part of the issues he has because of this are visual and auditory hallucinations, as well as manic bipolar episodes where he disconnects from reality. . I would understand if he had gone to see a psychologist after being made to by the judge of the Train Station incident, and they determined he was of perfect mental capacities and is just choosing to do awful things. But he literally doesn’t have parts of his brain. He just never developed them before he was born. That’s an actual, serious medical issue.
The majority of the movie was shot in Vancouver, including the highway scenes on the bridge at the beginning. There are 8 alien movies, and ALL of them are on Disney+ --> Alien, Aliens, Alien 3, Alien Resurrection, Alien: Prometheus, Alien: Covenant, Alien vs Predator, Alien vs Predator: Requiem, Predator 2 (there's only an Alien easter egg, but it's there...)
Great reaction. And great voiceover promoting your patreon! Fox initially rejected the Deadpool movie after seeing the proof of concept. Then the clip was "accidentally leaked" to the Internet, and the overwhelming fan response made them change their minds. You absolutely don't have to say "I love you" just because someone said it first. I'm looking forward to your reaction to Deadpool 2.
They do have a helicarrier in the scene. The movie's commentary actually talks about it. They couldn't call it a helicarrier due to copyright, but it is one.
Trivia time!! The guy at the beginning who's make a deal with frances. The guy who says "f-ing mutants" was the voice of one of the Bob's from REBOOT. 90s canadian kids know what I'm talking about.
What most don’t even consider is the fact Deadpool keeps saying it on purpose. He knows Francis hates people knowing his name is Francis, so instead of giving him the satisfaction of asking all his henchmen “Where’s Ajax?” He keeps saying “Where’s Francis?” Because he knows it will piss off Francis, and also because he knows it will make the audience laugh. It’s very important to remember the reason Deadpool breaks the fourth wall constantly is because he’s 100% aware of the fact he’s in a fictional universe with an audience watching what he does and hearing what he says. So he’s joking, he’s playing up the idea that he’s frustrated because no one knows who he’s talking about; because he knows it’ll make everyone watching the movie laugh. “Hahaha, Deadpool’s asking the wrong name, that’s why no one knows where he is.” That’s exactly what Deadpool wants 😂
If your left leg is Thanksgiving, and your right leg is Christmas, could I visit you between the holidays? My absolute favorite line in this flick and no one ever keeps it in the reaction video.
The highway scene was actually filmed in Vancouver. There is a YT video about the filming of that scene and the highway was shut down for 6 hours each day for 3 weeks.
Mark 34:22. Actress Leslie Uggams, because as far as I know, I hadn't seen her in anything, celebrity news shows like, "Entertainment Tonight" & "Access" aside, since she was the hostess of, "Fantasy", with actor Peter Marshall, as the host. So I didn't know that she was that old! 😳 So I thought that she was actress, Nichelle Nichols, whom I have seen in person more than once, so I should've known better! But I thought it was just make-up! 😁
That’s one of the wackiest things about Spider-Man lol. Dude is actually one of the most broken superheroes in marvel comic history; but he’s such a good guy that he literally does pull his punches. On everyone. Even his villains. Supposedly, if Peter Parker truly punched with his full strength and power; he’d turn a full grown normal man into a cloud of red mist and viscera chunks. He could end most of his encounters with villains in the blink of an eye, but he just genuinely doesn’t want to kill or terribly hurt even the people trying to hurt him.

Pretty sure the boombox idea playing Wham was inspired by the movie, Say Anything, where John Cusack holds up a boombox over his head playing Peter Gabriel's song "In Your Eyes" to Diane Court.
@@MeleeHellBotTrue, but she broke the fourth wall for the very first time in 1989, only 1 year before Deadpool’s very first 1990 “New Mutants #98” debut, and 2 years before Deadpool got his very first solo comic story in 1991.
I’m late to this reaction but DeadPool is one of my favorite comic book movies! It’s so different than the rest which I love! I can’t wait for DeadPool 3 and him joining the MCU!!
Where was the Deadpool highway scene shot? The film proper opens with, and regularly returns to, the freeway where Deadpool intends to wreak long-awaited revenge on Ajax. It's the Georgia Viaduct, a twin overpass linking Downtown Vancouver with the district of Strathcona.
Mark 36:16. Before I forget! Now both, Ryan Reynolds & Morena Baccarin, have been in a project for, "DC", and a project for, "Marvel". You know his. Hers is, "Gotham". She married the actor that played, "James Gordon", and got pregnant during the series, so her character had to be written out for her maternity leave. Now the irony here is that thanks to a lot of crossover connections, the "Marvel" & "DC" titles co-exist in a Multiverse that exists inside one fictional character named, "Tommy Westphall". I'm still waiting to hear your responses about that. 🤔
Nope lol. She Hulk was the first ever official Fourth Wall Break in Marvel comic history. For marvel as a comic book company, it wasn’t until 1989 when She Hulk broke the fourth wall and directly addressed the audience reading the comic. . The first ever fourth wall break in movie history comes from “Men Who Have Made Love To Me,” which released the same year World War 1 ended, in 1918. The concept of the Fourth Wall, however, was created by French actor and play writer, Molière, in the 17th, so about 400 years ago. Molière described the Fourth Wall as a “Hypothetical boundary that separates the fictional world from reality.” He expressed the importance of creating well thought out plays that captivated the audience so much, they’d start to suspend their belief in reality enough to become truly immersed in the fictional world brought to life by the play. . Modern concepts and ideas are actually very old lol.
(I should be saying this for Deadpool 2) I love both of you guy's.... but I swear I freaking go nuts with excitement when my girl Jane freaks out on the action shots....I laugh so hard....shucks, shucks shucks...hand on face..and I'm crying.... and I just half the time wanna give JV a dam hug.....he be making ME cry(not on this one... but the other vids)... love you guy's
So many good parts in this movie, but my favorite is always DP throwing the hubcap in the middle of a conversation and hitting Ajax in the head with it.
I will explain the joke as that always makes it funnier: "Whose kitty litter did I just shit in?" The guy who he was talking to was doing Cocaine, so it's implied he shit in his stash
In case no one has mentioned it, the Helicarrier isn’t from Avengers, since Deadpool is Fox production pre Disney buyout, the Helicarrier in this movie is an iteration from the comic books.
I mean, yes and no. The commentary makes it clear that it's an MCU reference, but they couldn't confirm that within the movie since this was a Fox property.
Amazing how the old blind lady (Nichelle Nichols aka LT Nyota Uhura from StarTrek) can translate every language in the universe but can’t put together IKEA furniture (like the rest of us!). Cheers
Actually, there are a total of 8 Alien movies, Alien, Aliens, Alien 3, Alien Resurrection, Alien Vs Predator, Aliens Vs Predator, Prometheus, and Alien Covenant 😎
Actually Deadpool is super strong & has high stamina and that crazy healing Factor. Deadpool has a low degree of superhuman strength allowing him to lift 800 pounds. Lowball Deadpool can lift 800 Lbs. I've also seen statement saying he can lift up to 50,000 lbs
I think Deadpool is more of an anti-hero imo. He's not really a _good guy,_ he does bad guy things with good guy intentions.... sometimes.😁 But the 4th wall breaks are purely cannon, he does it even in the comics too😂
That’s not an opinion, it’s an actual fact lol. He was literally debuted in 1991 as “Marvel’s Anti-Hero.” He was the first genuinely marvel character to ever be released that was an actual anti-hero. He’s neither fully good nor fully bad. He saves people and works with the avengers sometimes, and he also kills a lot of people and has feuds with the avengers.
3.5K Thumbs Up + Mine! 👍 Thanks for the funny, digital video recording! 🎬 🖖✌️😎🤓🐈🦝🙏🐶 Notes: Oops! So I was supposed to watch some other reáctions before this one. I.e., "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" and "Thor: Love and Thunder". Oh well. Hey! I enjoyed, "Green Lantern", just as much as any other, CBM! It isn't, "terrible"! Hmm. It annoys me that there's at least one _________, that remarks about how, Jane, calls out, "Justin!", with every video in which she does that, that has been posted. How can anyone misinterpret that so badly? 🤔 I still find it adorable! Namaste! 🙏
Yeah the funny rumor was the scene that was in the trailer was supposedly leaked out by a fired employee from Fox that loves Deadpool only a rumor tho you'll be surprised how many movies are and have been made that never been released or will same with music for artists
The Helicarriers in Avengers/MCU are just flying carrier ships. That ship they're on is just a regular ship, not the flying(fictional) carriers from the MCU
Except it is. The commentary makes it clear that's what they're referencing. It is an MCU reference. They just couldn't call it that because of copyright.

Helicarrier? As far as I can tell, it's a multi-platform dock for loading and unloading cargo ships.
They do have a helicarrier in the scene. The movie's commentary actually talks about it. They couldn't call it a helicarrier due to copyright, but it is one.
You didn't show the end scene. There was a direct reference to Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Oops didn't wait until the end before I did this My bad 😬
Trivia time!! The guy at the beginning who's make a deal with frances. The guy who says "f-ing mutants" was the voice of one of the Bob's from REBOOT. 90s canadian kids know what I'm talking about.
I didn't know JV's name was Justin... so that's why his wife says that.... I still miss the "shucks, shucks 🤣🤣🤣🤣
"..but they don't know his name is Francis. He should say Ajax!"
Hah, niiiiiice catch there 👌took me atleast a few watches to think of that 👏
What most don’t even consider is the fact Deadpool keeps saying it on purpose. He knows Francis hates people knowing his name is Francis, so instead of giving him the satisfaction of asking all his henchmen “Where’s Ajax?”
He keeps saying “Where’s Francis?” Because he knows it will piss off Francis, and also because he knows it will make the audience laugh.
Just a heads up, there is a easter egg in "Deadpool 2" that is a MASSIVE "Logan" spoiler.
When asked the director said "I'm not legally allowed to say that's the helicarrier".
Exactly! So many commenters try and say it's not one without actually doing their research.
The highway scene was actually filmed in Vancouver. There is a YT video about the filming of that scene and the highway was shut down for 6 hours each day for 3 weeks.
I love that Ryan jokes that it made him Public Enemy #1 in Vancouver while they were filming that part.
Isn’t morena baccarin Brazillian not Canadian?
According to Wikipedia, she was born in Rio & moved to NYC when she was 7.
yep, she is brazillian
How in the world did y’all not do the end credit scene? I wanted to see if y’all got that reference. Lol
Oh shit
Y’all are one of the most wholesome reaction couples I’ve seen, I can’t wait to see y’all watch this one 🤣
Have you seen YOU ME AND THE MOVIES
That is the Dunsmuir Bridge in Vancouver - I was there watching them film this scene
Wait…wait….wait SHE HULK DID IT FIRST!!????!!!!!!!????
The she hulk comics came before the Deadpool comics
So I thought that she was actress, Nichelle Nichols, whom I have seen in person more than once, so I should've known better! But I thought it was just make-up! 😁
Just FYI.. Deadpool, Wolverine, Steve and Bucky, and Black Panther are all on the same strength level. They're all at 20% of Spider-Man's

“She-Hulk did it first”
I........ I’m sorry but WHAT????
In the comics. She-Hulk broke the Fourth wall first.
@@user-dz6fy6qv2l wow really! Had no idea
She hulk existed for a decade before Deadpool was a thing
@@MeleeHellBotTrue, but she broke the fourth wall for the very first time in 1989, only 1 year before Deadpool’s very first 1990 “New Mutants #98” debut, and 2 years before Deadpool got his very first solo comic story in 1991.
I’m late to this reaction but DeadPool is one of my favorite comic book movies! It’s so different than the rest which I love! I can’t wait for DeadPool 3 and him joining the MCU!!
Context of the reaction: Justin! JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA 😂😂 i loved it JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJ
Did you miss the end credit scene, where Deadpool did a parody of the end credit scene from Ferris Bueller's Day Off?
It's at 59:21.
12:18 When the hakuna matata joke pulled up, I got an notification for a Lion King meme.
"He was holding a unicorn?"
I haven't laughed that hard in ages...
33:33 “when crocs were cool”
😆 crocs were never cool.
I have no idea how we concentrates on watching the movie when all he can hear is "Justin, Justin, Justin, JUSTIN? JUSTIN?! JUSTIN?!?!?!?!"
"is it bad?"
"no, it's fine. he's deadpool"
*KNIFE GOES IN HEAD*
18:24 that’s not Hugo Weaving he played in Galaxy Quest
"Justin...Justin...that;s disgusting...Justin." 😂 😂
(At 2:20) And yet, you agreed to watch this.
Mark 43:37. You meant, "SHIELD". But anyway, the "FOX" & "Netflix" collections, now belatedly and retroactively are a part of the, "MCU". 😎🤓
This film is a good judge of peoples personality and sense of humour
I honestly didnt realize i wasnt subscribed. Problem fixed. Luv u guys
The Joker in 1953 broke the 4th wall first in a comic, Deadpool did it in his comics too, she hulk must have been made well after
Molière described the Fourth Wall as a “Hypothetical boundary that separates the fictional world from reality.”
He expressed the importance of creating well thought out plays that captivated the audience so much, they’d start to suspend their belief in reality enough to become truly immersed in the fictional world brought to life by the play.
.
Modern concepts and ideas are actually very old lol.
I subscribed.. you pulled my Canadian thumb lol
This is Prime Canadianism.
I love it.
Are you not watching the X-Men movies in order?
Yes the avengers exist in this universe.. Wade got a rejection letter from the avengers which Ryan Reynolds tweeted in 2018...
“They don’t know his name is Francis “ lol yep that’s the joke killed so many people & didn’t ask the right name lol
Morena Baccarin isnt Canadian. She was born in Brasil and grew up in NYC.
Best Marvel movie!!! Great reaction guys 👍
im currently on reaction binge and i LOVE yall
Aww thanks!
Since you mentioned Ferris Buellers day off you should watch it with Jane! I always love when people get the reference 🎬 great reaction 🎉
Such a prude haha. "ew, dirt" 😂🤣
Ohh-yeah!! Here we go!!!
Woe... last time I heard someone use the phrase "bathroom humor" was from 70s footage.
FINALLY!!!!🎉🎉🎉 OH JANE!! 😅
No one will give up Francis because nobody knows who Francis is. They just know him as Ajax. hahaha
I will explain the joke as that always makes it funnier:
"Whose kitty litter did I just shit in?"
The guy who he was talking to was doing Cocaine, so it's implied he shit in his stash
He's holding a unicorn? Lol classic
You guys are my favorite reactors best couple ever.
I'm already a Patreon on your other channel, but you're telling me I'm missing out on MAN OF STEEL??? Say hello to a new, familiar face haha!
Cheers
Pineapple and olive is actually really good. Try it out.
Actually, there are a total of 8 Alien movies, Alien, Aliens, Alien 3, Alien Resurrection, Alien Vs Predator, Aliens Vs Predator, Prometheus, and Alien Covenant 😎
“Oh the road rash” 😂😂😂😂
So glad hugh jackmans wolverine is gonna be in 3rd film
Actually Deadpool is super strong & has high stamina and that crazy healing Factor.
Deadpool has a low degree of superhuman strength allowing him to lift 800 pounds.
Lowball Deadpool can lift 800 Lbs.
I've also seen statement saying he can lift up to 50,000 lbs
I think Deadpool is more of an anti-hero imo. He's not really a _good guy,_ he does bad guy things with good guy intentions.... sometimes.😁
But the 4th wall breaks are purely cannon, he does it even in the comics too😂
That’s not an opinion, it’s an actual fact lol.
“MM”
Marvin Milk from The Boys 😂
3.5K Thumbs Up + Mine! 👍 Thanks for the funny, digital video recording! 🎬 🖖✌️😎🤓🐈🦝🙏🐶
Notes: Oops!
Namaste! 🙏
Just a head's up, Morena is brazilian. Not canadian.
JV what watch are you wearing?
It was shot out in Vancouver!
Yeah the funny rumor was the scene that was in the trailer was supposedly leaked out by a fired employee from Fox that loves Deadpool only a rumor tho you'll be surprised how many movies are and have been made that never been released or will same with music for artists
Deadpool is the best superhero
The Helicarriers in Avengers/MCU are just flying carrier ships. That ship they're on is just a regular ship, not the flying(fictional) carriers from the MCU
Except it is. The commentary makes it clear that's what they're referencing. It is an MCU reference. They just couldn't call it that because of copyright.
