Oh, the joy of small things that make us happy at this time of year….warm, fluffy towels fresh out of the dryer, hot tea and wearing sweat pants, the warmth of a small furry cat or dog to cuddle with! Thanks for sharing, Sarah!
Hello Sarah, before I had a matcha whisk, I used a milk-frother. It's only 1 £ at IKEA UK. Works wonderfully too. You don't need a matcha whisk. Greetings from Germany, Anni
That’s what I have. I guess I just got unlucky and it didn’t break up some of the powder probably because I just used the cold setting. But since then, I changed my method. I mix the powder with about 1/4 cup hot water, then add that with milk into the frother. It dissolves and gets really creamy. So good!
I love these videos with the flotsam and jetsam of your life. It teaches me to appreciate my own experiences more, and to live more in the now as you do
One cannot have enough tea. Always a pleasure to see a glimpse into your home and daily activities…plentiful gratitude and awe…appreciation of the little things. You guys are wise beyond your years. Good on you. 😊
So much stress in my life right now. Your video was such a wonderful surprise. Sarah, thank you so much for sharing so much of your life with us. Love to you, Wolfie and the kitties.
Good Morning Sarah and Wolfy - I so enjoyed your video this morning right after I got up at 6 a m in Washington right across the Juan de Fuca Strait where you recently visited! The snow and your cats and clear off your car so familiar. I have goals of being able to paint like you outside even tho I've been at it a long time - so keep posting and I'll keep watching- thank you so much -
There is no such thing here in Scotland as too much tea😅 I start my day with 2 cups of coffee and the afternoon is when the tea starts. I'm along the western coast of Scotland with the sea to my front and mountains to the back. I had big hopes for the black friday/cyber monday sales this year but let them pass me by. My wee 17 yr old dog is being put to sleep this week due to health issues and dementia that has diminished her quality of life. So after the New Year I will plunge back into my projects. Lovely to see your kitties exploring the snow. Blessings.
Thank you so much, Sarah. It is nice to be cozy with you on a cold day. I enjoyed the whole video. Tea is so much fun. I have tea all the time. As well as coffee. It is fun to see what you have for tea, watch you put it in containers and then to see you enjoy it. Your food and bread look so delicious. Nice to see the cozy kitties and Wolfie enjoying your space. Thank you so much for sharing your time today. 😊
@sarahinscotland I like any Black Teas for energy. Lipton, Earl Grey, Lady Gray, English Breakfast etc. For Reading and watching stuff I like Chai Tea, Tension Tamer's Tea, Cinnamon Apple Tea etc.y Some of these are Celestial Seasonings brand tea out of Boulder, Colorado. I like Lipton Tea and Bigelow Teas. I enjoy loose tea also. Do you make your own blends with your loose tea? I bet the cats would love to check out your Mint and Spearmint teas. Lol. Have a good evening.
I am pleased to hear you are doing another book. I am planning to do a book on our family genealogy. I am stuck on what software to use to write it. Do you have any advice? Much appreciated if you do.
For my first books I just used google docs to write it. I designed the layout in Adobe InDesign. Now I’m using Scrivener to write. I’ll still use InDesign when it comes time to design it
What a cozy vlog, so relaxing to watch, thank you🙂 And no, you don't have too much tea, I have like 30 to 40 open constantly... And I really drink them, they're not just "hanging around" 😀
What a lovely glimpse into your wintery life! I’m hungry after watching you both eat all that great cooking/baking! 😍. Your kitties are wonderful to watch, as well. I will look forward to your tea reviews (I’m a bit of a tea junky if I’m being honest. 😜) Cozy greetings of the season to all of you❣️
@@francinetoni268 I am from the states and drink quite a lot of coffee. I would love to drink more tea and am wondering where you find quality teas. There is so much out there.
Your videos are so relaxing and fun all at the same time! I'm working on the 12 boxes (slightly behind) but packed with information. I'm hoping you are doing the travel brushes ( maybe by plein April) . That would be so exciting!! Thank you both for your hard work. Love you clickity-clack keyboard. Enjoy your kittys
We just got our first little snow here in Kentucky! Didn't accumulate much, but it looks pretty. I can smell the saag paneer through the screen and I need to make some again soon.
You should get a frost guard windshield cover for your car. Saves a lot of time, and most of the time it even protects against frost. Definitely against ice and snow!
Really enjoyed watching this video whilst I also enjoyed a bowl of freshly made winter vegetable soup. Perfect Sunday evening Sarah. We didn't get as much snow in Fife.
Never heard of meranga tea , I’d swop out oat milk for almond as oat is high sugar content apparently 😲 carbs thing 😂 I need those tubs in my life for all my tea 😀
Gotta love cats... If it's a present, it's for them, surely! If it's a present in a box, well... 😂 ,obviously... Totally impressed by your tea collection, I thought, it's only ours cupboard, that overflowing with all the types of tea, happy to see we are not the only ones l 😂
@sarahinscotland I like chai ( black tea with cardamom) for when it's cold, gunpowder green tea for any occasion, lapsang-souchong ( smoky tea, but it's imperially important to find a good one!) for the morning , it goes well with savoury breakfast. Only, whatever you do, don't buy valerian root tea... Apart from it being incredibly bitter ( apparently good for calming nerves, my husband swears by it! ), our cat found it once, on his patrol of newly brought in shopping bags... That was an educational evening, and that's all I am going to say 😂
Great video and love the bloopers..I ordered one of your calendars and then saw your print sale which I would have participated in but we have a postal strike in Canada with apparently no end in site! I am really looking forward to your fourth book…I have the other three and they are fantastic..
@ They aren’t even negotiating right now so I don’t imagine it will be settled anytime soon…Thankfully the subscription box is delivered by courier so I have that to look forward to. The calendar will arrive some time in 2025😸..Have a good week ahead.
A magical, fun video Sarah! Those cats are so much fun, they give me my Kitty Fix. Out of interest, where did you get your office chair from? My other half needs a new one and it would make a fab Christmas present!
It’s Flexispot. I have one of their standing desks which I love. The chair was on sale for £99 and I’m loving it. Cheaper are far superior to my last one
Hi Sarah, I am new to your channel, thoroughly enjoyed chilling on the sofa watching your video. Can I ask what make of teas you had there? I was totally stuck what to buy my gf for Christmas and now it’s going to be some lush teas 😊.
Wonderful episode!❤What is the name of your first book because I would like to purchase one. I’ve been an artist most of my life and I love your filming and photography. Take care and sending peace✌️
My first two art books are “Brush Mileage” and “Sketching Scotland Vol 01.“ The first is more about my art journey from the beginning, and tons of photographic inspiration and artwork over the years. SS:V1 is about my plein air journey from the beginning until about 2021. :)
@sarahinscotland thank you sweetheart Sarah! I'm ordering them today and I just got my plain air easel today, a Christmas gift to myself....lol. have a wonderful Christmas in Scotland. My great grandfather, Lafayette Scot, came to the US in the 1800s, that's prob why I LOVE Scotland so much!!😍✌️
Do you ever have videos about how you use Adobe Photoshop? How did you learn? How expensive is it? I'm an older adult and I was wondering what kinds of things you can do with that program.
There are thousands of tutorials on youtube about Photoshop. I’ve used it since 2005 so I’ve seen it evolve over the years. It’s pretty robust and can do a lot, if you’re into Photography or making graphics it can be useful. There’s other free software that seems good but I’m not too familiar with them. GIMP.org comes to mind as a popular free one
I tried to order a book and some prints when the sale went live, but the only shipping option was for the U.K., so I couldn't complete the order. 😢 I genuinely TRIED to support you (and let's not kid ourselves, to also treat my ownself 😂).
Lovely video as always, but one thi g ypu say in the end makes me a bit confused-all artist are ” independent”( w artists I mean art like paintings and sculpture not music or theatre or such). What do you mean by ” independent”? Are many artists in the US employed by companies so ypu have to stress independent. Just curious why you use that word😉. We got Bert after you here in Sweden, horrid weather, more like an autumn storm than a winter one!! So fun to see the fort time in snow for Akira!
I was sitting here eating raw apple slices dipped in caramel sauce when you took that apple pie out of the oven! You Win! The herbs for the tea look delicious! What is your recipe? Be careful how much rooibos you add to your tea. Though rare, Rooibos tea can be liver toxic. People who got hepatitis were drinking rooibos everyday, though.
I don’t use a lot of rooibos. So far my favorite combo is: Tea People’s ‘Licorice Mint Toffee’ with small addition of: more licorice, ginger root, turmeric root, orange blossom, extra mint, elderflower, cinnamon bark
@@sarahinscotland Thanks! I'll have to try it! I love your blogs and videos! All of your food looks yummy! Maybe you should make a cookbook and illustrate it? I love cheese way too much! Right now, goat cheddar, from Wegman's, seems to be my favorite! Thanks for your reply! I wish you the Best!☺
I have the free version of Lightroom on my iphone 13 and when I want to view a black and white image of my plein air landscape, I take a picture with my iphone and then I edit the photo on my phone with my lightroom app to black and white. That way I have an option if I forget my red glasses.
Standard iPhone camera allows you to turn any photo grayscale too. But have you seen the app called “Value Study?” It turns any photo to grayscale AND allows you to minimize detail down to a notan image (only black and white). It’s amazing! Super helpful.
23:37 When your brain and mouth decide the relationship's no longer working. 😅 26:24 What? As an artist you don't enjoy the marketing aspect of owning a business? "Wolfy, can you help me with something..." 😈
I don’t think I’m the best person to ask 😅 I don’t look at stats. Just make what you love. Good audio is more important than fancy camera. iPhone is good enough. Be authentic to your own passions If you want to get a faster growth you need to post on a regular schedule, like every week. But I know from experience that is extremely difficult if you also have a job
