I’m a retired Canadian artist living away in Panama 🇵🇦 hot tropics. Now we are getting lots of rains and storms. Soon in mid December our summer will be here. We don’t get the change of seasons so seeing your beautiful footage reminds me of home that I miss in the fall. Your videos touch my heart and the footage of the Aurora was spectacular and moved me. I’ve only seen them once in person the week my mom died back in 1998. So when I see the AB, I see angels dancing in the lights. Amplify your differences! 😍
For plantar fasciitis try foamrolling your calf and put your leg on a tennis ball to aim for the trigger points. When the calf is tight, it pulls on the plantar fascia. Besides that, your toes need space. Many get relief by gradually switching to barefoot shoes. Just my two Physio-cents. 😉
Lovely. Yes the transition through fall and into winter hard for most. I could sit and knit and watch you vlog all day long. Beautiful!! The northern lights and the stars are FANTASTIC.ttfn
Hi Sarah this was such a GOOD vlog!It was truly amazing to see those Northern lights! I felt the same way you did when you saw them I was in AWE! I had the same feeling and expression! ;-) The kitties are so beautiful. He getting so big too those eyes are just so dreamy.😻🥰 I received my 2025 calendar about 2 weeks ago. (Alicia from Chicago) Thank you! So happy I got to order one out of the 100! It beautiful! This is my kind of VLOG! a little bit of everything. Outdoors indoors and a bit of local shopping. Home life and outdoor life. So much fun and soothing to watch all in one! It about the same here in Chicago. The sun rises late and set early prob around 4pm starts to get lower and lower around 3:30pm. I say to myself if I don't get the chance to relocate to Scotland that where I am would be okay. Chicago Illinois is about the same when it comes weather wise lol windy cold unpredictable weather..rain one minute sunny and then dark again! (but nothing compares to Scotland itself overall!) And yes November is definitely quickly moving along! it will soon be Thanksgiving here in the US. It crept up so quickly! Ill be having an early Thanksgiving at my church this Saturday. Will you be having maybe a Friendsgiving over there? All the best to you and Wolfy and your fur babies Love and blessings from Chicago Il. 😊❤
Planter fasciitis is just the worst and you have my sympathy, as someone who was once in that same state. Diligent stretching, really good shoe inserts (and shoes), and time did the trick…it’s just not a fast recovery. Best of luck to you!
I tried custom ones and they were just ok. It turned out that for me the Abeo brand from The Walking Company were better than custom, so now they’re in every shoe I wear. 😊
Always so soothing to watch your vlogs! Thank you for the beauty, the smiles and the peace! All the best for the transition into the dark time of the year!
On PF, stretching first thing before getting out of bed helped me. I got a steroid shot in both heels 40 years ago. Had very little problem since. Loved your video and the beautiful Scottish scenery.
Golf! Imagine that! When I moved back to USA to Virginia I took up golf as well. Really had fun the first year, now we’ve gotten lax and slowed, but seeing your video made me itch - even if I just get the range that’d be good!
Omg thank you so much for sharing the amazing Aurora borals, that was the most incredible thing, sending you and husband warm hugs from Mexico…take care..
Stunning footage of the aurora. Thank you for the calendars. Ordered 2. Always enjoy your vlogs. ❤ Scotland. I met my partner there while on holiday 🏴
It happens year-round but it's only visible when it's very dark. In the warm months here we have too much ambient light in the sky for most of the night so it's not as easy to see. The "dark" is very brief in midsummer. Whereas in the winter we have several hours of pure darkness
Love your embroidery piece and your aurora shots are awesome. I also have plantar fasciitis it bites, the one thing that helped me was getting orthotics. It really helped but unfortunately you can’t just buy over the counter insoles I spent tons of money trying them with no luck but the custom ones helped within a week. Take care.
Stunning vlog as always, thank you! I'm sure you'll get a lot of advice regarding Plantar Fasciitis, but I'm going to offer mine too! Osteopathy - it gently realigns your whole body. I had PF about 22 years ago, tried everything (including excruciating steroid injections) but nothing worked. On a recommendation I tried Osteopathy, and it honestly felt miraculous. I didn't have many sessions, can't remember how many, but whatever she did it worked, and it has not returned, even through subsequent pregnancies and weight fluctuations. PF is so painful and debilitating, I hope it gets resolved soon! Best wishes.
I have done osteopathic treatment a couple years ago for hip and knee pain and that combined with strength training helped a lot. I think I have PF because I wore some bad sneakers for too long and it messed me up 🙁 so I’m paying for it now.
Awesome aurora footage! I’m in the states down in PA by Philadelphia and for the one in October, we managed to catch a glimpse here too. So awesome (and slightly scary). Thanks for sharing!
living in Australia can be a challenge especially in summer last week it got so hot some of my watercolours dried out along with some of my gouache they live in little containers and when I need to top up my palettes well yeah , summer started late because we had a lot of rain so far and the humidity is a hassle eventually my family will moving down sth to a little place called Tasmania can't wait and I've been learning loose watercolours thoroughly enjoying it I still incorporate gouache into my pictures it's certainly changed my art style for the better plus I use pens for outlines especially cityscapes.
@sarahinscotland no doubt we're going down next year to watch our favourite musician and then after that hopefully my husband will have enough in his superannuation to buy a house down there but things have go step by step the people that we've met treat you much better than in the cities very friendly like ,apart from New Zealand where I was born I've never felt so comfortable in a place. You know Scotland looks so magical to think my ancestry on both sides of my family come from Aberdeen totally uncanny my mums maiden name is Fraser and mine is Aitchison maybe thats why I'm drawn to it there's another place I'm also drawn to is Newfoundland my god the different colours in Autumn just all seasons just wow I had a thing for iceburgs so I found this photographer asked him nicely if I can paint some of his scenes got the thumbs up have you ever been there .
Winter is stunning in the highlands, girl. I can’t get enough of it. Perhaps it’s because you r on the east coast with wet and winds. It’s not like that anywhere else. I visit every winter especially for the winter, it’s so clear and never really goes more than minus a few degrees, so fresh but not freezing. Think it’s the location u r in. Might be worth checking out other places in winter like central, west even Cairngorms are lush to be honest. I am a big winter enthusiast and in the UK to get a glimpse of it is to go as far North as possible
Stunning here! We love where we live ☺️ no midges in the summer. Absolutely gorgeous coast. Sacrifice a cold winter for amazing beauty and access all year.
@ thanks for answering , if your friend doesn’t like your gift ,and doesn’t hang it in pride of place in her home 🏠, well I just don’t know , could you go to anchor tapestry and embroidery , who do kits , with your beautiful idea , and maybe they could help get your artwork into tapestries etc , because I’m sure lots of people would be only to thrilled to have these as kits xx best of luck and keep on with your beautiful artwork xx it’s so beautiful to watch you xx

Wishing you a lovely, storm-free winter ☺️

So much fun “hanging out with you”…thank you for sharing. And the northern lights…wow!😊
They get me every time 🥹

Thank you Sarah, great photography. Loved the fabulous images you captured. Thank you for sharing your daily life.

I usually make a couple “classics” around thanksgiving but we don’t celebrate it, but wolfy loves the food 😁😁😁

Yea quite a few people mentioned getting custom orthotics so I’m looking into it. I need to be able to get out in the spring!
I tried custom ones and they were just ok. It turned out that for me the Abeo brand from The Walking Company were better than custom, so now they’re in every shoe I wear. 😊
Northern lights and shooting stars at the same time. Magical!!!!
LOLLL akira's ball stash made me laugh out loud
Beautiful and inspiring as usual, Sarah. Your videos are much appreciated and cherished. Thank you for letting us share your journey.

Always so soothing to watch your vlogs! Thank you for the beauty, the smiles and the peace! All the best for the transition into the dark time of the year!
So so pretty- thank you for the aurora pics.
Roll your Plantars fasciitis foot on a frozen water bottle! It works wonders!!!!
Interesting!

Could you make those embroidery pictures into kits , totally beautiful, thanks for sharing❤❤❤
I have no idea how I'd do that. I am still figuring it out lol

I know what you mean about the freezing cold but without snow, I’m in north east England and it used to snow years ago but not now, so rare. ❄️☁️🥶😰
We got a dusting of snow last night, so at least I'm satisfied lol
Greetings from Portgordon ❤
