There's a step on the shaft. You measured it in the wrong area. When measured in the area where the impeller sits it measured .453" which is a closer match what most amazon sellers list at 11.65mm = .458" if anyone is wondering it's part # 47-89981
Awesome!!! I need to disassemble, clean, and reassembled the carbs on my Merc 50...is that next? Lol!! Question....if the sending unit hatch on your fuel tank isn't glued down with some kind of red atv sealant would that be enough to make your motor not idle? It runs great on the open water, but won't idle for more than 15 seconds.
So many videos on this process. Many of us already know how to do it better not familiar with the particular engine and don't know where the o-rings go. And nobody says.
@@bucksgarage1: But did you not notice what I said that your thumbnail picture said? Your thumbnail picture says "$8 dollar..." which is "eight dollars dollar..." which doesn't make sense.
I used a zip tie to compress the rubber blades of the pump. That tab is a big PITA.
Cheers:):):)

Did that key come with the Impeller or did the old Impeller already have one?
You can use your old one

9.8 110 merc is a good small motor. I worked on my son's and went through it.
I think I have water in my tank. Whats you suggested water remover? I purchased heet.
I have used that before. Should work.
6:57 as someone who new to working on boats I would’ve appreciated seeing this before I had taken the bottom unit off🤦♂️😂

*nice job open up shop! He said “wizzer”* #WorldsOkayestFarmer
He said got impeller from Amazon
On your thumbnail picture: "8 dollars dollar fix"? Huhh?
The new impeller was $8 on Amazon. It only cost me $8 and a little time to replace it.
