just found your channel, I'm getting my C8 in a couple of weeks, I'll be tracking it as well. I'll be reaching out to talk about a few things when I get it
@@HiPoDriver thanks HiPo. Really appreciate your channel. Now I fully understand the power of the PDR, when I see you analyse the data. I used to think it was just a potato cam.
OK, your new C8 is sweet, no doubt... but the Lancia you passed - How often does one get to see one of those (even if it's a replicar?) Kinda wish you'd hung around it for a little longer. ;-))
Looks like someone set the Start/Stop at the access road? Odd. Also Mr. TH-cam, next time wait for the vid to be properly scaled up to 1080p before setting the "Premiere"... ;-P
It's possible the start/finish is off. I didn't copy an existing one over to that card and set it while on track. As for the 480p - that is what the video was recorded in. As you know the C8 PDR will record in 480 or 1080 and I didn't realize until later that mine was set to 480.
It's pretty clear the Start/Fin is off; just look at the map in the upper left corner. :-) As for the 480 v 1080, I hadn't realized they put an option for low-res recording in. Whoops!
I am interested in your view/opinion of the difference between a stock C7 Grand Sport and a C8 Z51? Specifically track performance. I think comparing a manual C7 Grand Sport M7 with carbon ceramic brakes against a C8 Z51 is like comparing an apple and an orange. YOUR VIEW?
I love the C7s and am very comfortable with them. It's too early for me to say much about the C8 in comparison. I need to drive it with a proper alignment and with active handling turned off (AH seems more aggressive in the C8). I don't think the PS4 is as good a tire as the C7 spec Super Sports were.
@@brunodemelo4997 Fair enough, I never really pay much attention to the sound in telemetry videos other than gear shifts but you have a point. I think they position the mic in the Camaro and C8 to pick up interior sound and conversations better than the C7, but for track videos with the windows down the C7 definitely sounds better.
Decent lap times with all that traffic.

FlyinGato gato squad!
So Excited to Watch!! , 19 minutes till GO time!
Sorry if the "Premier" thing was a pain. I was just trying to defer the post a bit.
Traffic was really holding you up. They need to lead, follow or get out of the way!
It's intermediate group and I was crashing their party.
Great car!!! Some wider r888r ‘s , track alignment and a tune and full exhaust this car will be a track terror
Seems this car doesnt suffer from heat soaking issues. Way to go GM,.
Love it! Ps, my max resolution for viewing is 480. Please upload in 1080 next time, to really show off the c8 pdr
That was before I found the option to record the PDR video in 1080 - the default is 480. Later videos should be in 1080p.

Great to see it in traffic and see some of the cars it’s passing. Are you using the stock tires in the video?

Considering its bone stock I'd say you do very well. Imagine when you get real tires and a track alignment on her.
And hearing those stock rags squeal under pressure is brutal.

May I ask what kind of event this was called? Friday at the track or something else?
I believe that was a Chin track day.
Wow the sound is absolute garbage on the c8 PDR. Wind buffeting like crazy. Same as the Camaros. How does this get out to people like this...
Windows need to be open for HPDEs, hence the wind buffeting
@@alexandergeorgeyurevitch7507 then explain why my videos sound great in my c7 PDR?
