I need to fix it because I'm going into a professional basketball league soon so I'm practicing man just saying never give up because I got better already because I've been playing for 3 years
I've started playing again after 4 years, and for some reason have regressed only a bit. My coordination isn't as good, but my shooting range has improved (ig because I hit the gym now) and my skills are almost at the same level as before. My school finally added sports lesson back for us, so I took up basketball. Now gonna try to join the senior team, cuz it's been a minute and my old coach left the school
For the follow through to the side that could be multiple things. Your shot pocket goes from the middle of your head. Or you have bad follow through like the video said.
I wanted to get more arc on my shot. I thought shooting over the corner of the backboard (from just out of bounds) would help. It fixed my shot that whole session. So I agree on that one!
There are so many factors that impact shooting…hand size, shoulder strength, arm length, etc…I think it’s important to teach shooting individually. There’s 100 different ways to be a good shooter.

My shot started developing around 6th or 7th grade. My coach always thought of me as pure shooter because my shot was basically one continuous motion, but my arc has always been so low. Like Ray Allen's. I never had consistency issues while I was actively playing and practicing every day with my arc, but It's been about 2 years since high school and since I've last played ball for real. I'm sure I have some work to do, but i feel like there will always be some feel to it that you still have from before. Is it ideal to have a higher arcing shot, and do any of y'all recommend I start working on the feel of a higher arcing shot as opposed to what it felt like before? I really just want to get into the sport again and be somewhat competent at basketball.

@@imalittlefish7823 why don’t you aim at the rim so every shot can be straight and feel the same? And with that drill there’s actually a realistic result (making a shot). The side of the backboard isn’t the same circumstance, diameter, or even material of a rim/backboard. So after you worked on your “straightness,” now you have to work on making a shot onna accrual rim

The second best shooter ever has a flat arch
Ray Allen
Would've been better with a couple more degrees at release.
there is perfect form... but its not gon make your shoot perfect... this goes for quarterbacks, pitchers, baseball swings and playing golf
Why's flat arch bad?
More bricks, more airballs, No fluidity on shot
