  • Finding Red Emperor - What to look for on your sounder
A short video of the type of bottom structure and fish life you should look for when fishing for red emperor.
This video shows a isolated rock about 5-7 metres high in 65 metres of water. Fish caught on this spot included Red Emperor, Mangrove Jack, Maori Cod, Hussar and other reef species.

why did you go the Airmar transducer over a furono one? Is it a thru hull or transom mounted transducer?

Best video I have seen so far explaining how the bottom lock works with the Furuno 585, I just might understand mine better now. Thanks.
