You forgot about them putting down the Maori rebellion in New Zealand just before they went over to murder a bunch of farmers running around a veld in South Afrika
@@tlow8745 Lol. You mean the white Dutch farmers who’s sons kept apartheid in place for nearly a century after? Yep those guys. Our boys aren’t racist. They’ll shoot anyone.

4:10 the Australian soldier says "So much easier" when he's dry firing. Their weapons are very advanced, but not necessarily simple to use. Notice how much more recoil their rifle has, same round, NATO 556. Probably personal preference too, "the grass is greener" mentality.
probably something to do with the reload, the aug is less weight and short for it's barrel length but the mag being up in the stock is a pain to reload
I can tell you one thing about Australians and Australian soldiers when the shit hits the fan they don't cut and run they stand buy there mates and allies.
Of course we do, Colin. When Britian fucked off out of South-East Asia with just under _seventy percent_ of Australia's expeditionary equipment, we were left to manage the Japanese alone for nine months before the USA could get geared up to give us a hand. And Thank the goddess they did get geared up so quickly! Anzacs are a bloody good force by all accounts, but even _we_ would have been overwhelmed eventually. You Yanks rocked up just in the nick of time. So from an Australian who knows how desperate things were during the Kokoda campaign: Thank you, USA. You did a bloody good job in the Pacific. Of course, I wouldn't be an Australian if I wasn't a little prideful, so... 9 months holding back the Japanese at 30% expeditionary strength??? That's gotta be a world record!
The aussies could still be using ww1 bolt action rifles and I would still want them on my team. They've been down with America for a long time and we've kicked a lot of ass. Australia is like your drunk, rowdy buddy that is always down to brawl with you when you get in a fight
Brian Byrnes; Thanks mate. We love you to. Australia and the USA have a longstanding history of fighting well together. I'm glad to call you Yanks our allies.
Rifle&Rights boi. We barely did anything in the war until it was FOKKING LATE! Main thing we did beforehand was give the other nations guns, vehicles, and other things
Rifle&Rights: Shut up. Come to Australia and spend a weekend in the bush with an army uniform on. Australian teenagers do that. I do that. I'm not even fit or active and I'm in the army cadets.
I can't believe the nonsense I'm reading in these comments. I am an ex serviceman and I served in Australian Army with pride. I have learned that all servicemen these days are trained to similar standards. (The rabble in the Middle East excepted). Accordingly I have respect, albeit occasionally grudging, for anyone with the guts to wear a uniform. So when I read these comments, people ragging on soldiers, my heart sinks. A 12 year old girl can point a rifle and kill you. That said, there is more to being a soldier than killing. I am talking about honour, pride, decency, a love for their homeland and their fellow man. To live and die with dignity, to stand tall with your hand on your chest at the raising of the flag. These are the traits of a true soldier. Writing the garbage that has littered these comments is not soldierly. Could you show it to your mother? Your sister? Your girlfriend? No? Then don't post it here and call yourself a soldier.
Don't worry. There's always going to be those who will talk trash about the military and more than likely it's because they didn't have the balls to serve. I served and wouldn't have traded what I did for anything.
Why's everyone ripping on Australia in these comments? What did we do to America? We support you guys in everything, we support all countries we have strong ties to Leave us alone
I'm not ripping on you here. As an American, I appreciate the strong ties both our countries have. Oh...this comment was 6 months old. Whatever. Fuck it. The point is still the same. Take care.
They have probably never served and therefor talking out of their fart holes. If they have served then they are jealous of the Aus Army for being better trained and able to do more damage with less people. If I remember correctly U.S Marines are trained for 20 weeks yet Aus Riflemen are trained for 28 weeks. After several years An Aussie can apply for 3 week SASR selection with only about 5 accepted at a time and on average 1 death during selection as they only use live fire in training and the training never stops until they retire or they die. Aus, N.Z and British riflemen are the highest trained grunts in the world with Canada, N.Korea and Russia not far behind and the U.S way behind as they believe number and weapons wins over training. It works in ours own backyard like Vietnam or Iraq but if we put 100 Aus riflemen up against 100 U.S soldiers of all sorts and Australia would easily win as our SASR would sneak past their Rangers, Marines and SEALS and send info back on a defence as we don't normally attack as it gives away our positions. Vietnam for example were more scared of the Aus Army than Americans plus their bombers as Aus just make people vanish. Brit SAS was in Vietnam too unofficially and no compo nor medals given to their wounded. That is the way Australia work. We don't want medals unlike U.S glory seekers.
Tristan Hayward I'm American and I personally prefer the aug even though I only own an airsoft version but it goes for both that the longer barrel gives it more range and accuracy so I give you guys props for that design
The CANZUKUS alliance is the only one each country should be investing. Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK and USA. Are wildly diverse on many things both politically and ethnically and socially. But we are also the only ones spanning the globe who have consistently stood side by side we are the only ones who consistently put our money where our mouth is. Personally as an Australian, I’d much prefer my government cut ties with china and just go with America and Britain. I’d also like my government to buy the obsolete American equipment. We can’t afford to build carriers and the state of the art Jet fights. But why would it be a bad idea for countries like Australia and New Zealand to come in and purchase the United States old ships that still work their old planes that still are great planes and pay for them and help offset americas purchase bill of the latest and greatest. Guarantee the American castoffs are better than 95% of the rest of the world, and we already know that if when Australia buys subs from America they get delivered. Unlike how we spent $100,000,000,000 on subs from a French business and 10 years later when the first was due for delivery they were still designing them and then demanding we sign up to a $10,000,000,000/year maintenance deal. Nope all the way with USA for me.
Im disgusted how my fellow Americans are disrespecting the Aussie soldiers.....these guys are sharp and highly professional and willing to go anywhere in the world to fight with Brits and Americans....shoulder shoulder...bad ass dudes....so please stop with the ignorance.

Well put. After visiting Australia in the late 80's, I was impressed by how well the older people remembered the Battle of Coral Sea and how thankful they were for the U.S.'s participation in it (alongside the Australians). And thanks to the Australian military for jumping in whenever we've needed it (or when you just didn't want to be left out of the mix).
I was USMC active duty from '91 to '96, and have now lived in Australia for 22 years (I married an Aussie gal). Dual citizen. This video warms my heart. A big semper fi to all my brothers and sisters in arms.
I was in high school '90-'96, in Sydney. My PE teacher was previously USMC (No such thing as an ex-marine lol), and a Vietnam Vet. One of the best teachers at my school - he didn't treat us like the future cube farm slaves the school wanted us to be, he treated us like grunts under his command. Extra points from me: he also gave no shits about cricket or rugby, much to the annoyance of the sports master lol. Paul Fidelis, USMC and legendary teacher, the man whose middle name is probably Semper.
Its so strange how unfamiliar the Aussies are with the AR platform... Mainly cause everyone shooter in the states knows it in and out in their sleep haha. (vice versa with the Marines' unfamiliarity with the AUG) Love the Aussies, may both sides fight alongside each other for centuries to come.
We use to be. From the mid 60's to the late early 90's each Section had at least two M16's in it (the lead scout and Section Commander, all the rest had the SLR L1A1), and every Inf soldier was instructed on the M16, plus other weapons. But when the F88 came into service that was all lost.
Our regular army use the Austeyr as their weapon of choice. 2CDO, SASR and one or two other units get to pick their weapon of choice - right down to the individual soldier in some cases - and they generally choose the M4 or similar. Conversely US special forces are often seen with an F88 Steyr... The Austeyr is a great combat weapon but the tolerances can be a tad tight making them more susceptible to jamming in sandy conditions. Sensational rifle for close quarter fighting - most bullpups are though.
45641560456405640563 When you consider a government for what it is, that being a coercive institution with a monopoly on violence over a given geographical area, it makes perfect sense.

You could see that U.S. Marine at 0:28 trying to hide that huge smile when he heard they have us real Aussies next to them in war. And this includes our Kiwi brothers from accross the pond. Much love to all Allied forces world wide!
lmao "diggers" Australians have the funniest slang and names for anything I've ever heard. Like who the fuck called it a "didgeridoo" that's the most australian-sounding word in the world.
As an Aussie i respect the US Marines. Any Person who signs up for the defense of their nation regardless of their country or branch of service has my respects.
The Aussies and US have been allies since 1918. We've been in treaty with each other since 1953, the ANZUS Treaty. The Aussie Army sent 50,000 troops who fought in Vietnam for seven years. The US based all of it's troops in Australia during WW2, MacArthur commanded them from Brisbane in Queensland. Australia has fought beside the US in more wars than any other country, even the Britain and Canada. We won't be attacking you boys with M4s :)
@James Jaks123 So you don't need a friendly country with huge landmass that is isolated from any other threatening force for miles? Face it, you need us so you can have the pacific in your pocket.
James Jaks123 Ask an old North Vietnamese about the Ma Rung you fuckwit. That's what they called the Australian SAS - the phantoms of the jungle. It's on record that the only troops they genuinely feared were the Australian SAS.
You know what, Thats for the better of both sides. Learning each other's weapons. As a rifleman, your rifle is you. So by learning each others rifle they are learning each other and coming closer as brothers in arms.
Timmoux I don’t hate Australia but jealous over what lol? We sell you 90 percent of your vehicles we supply you with a lot of shit and have a budget 1000x higher there’s nothing to really be jealous about your army is quite limited but your men fight hard and are tough as nails
So bad-ass they train with Australian riflemen LOL. Well that actually goes to show how bad-ass Australians are with the grunts being on par with the Marines. Yes they are just reg army riflemen..
@Judge Dredd "Sargeant Hammer, I think most likely it's because you were issued the M16A3 which was full-auto. I believe the M16A4 issued afterwards was burst-fire. But I'm still a civvy, so I could be wrong." Most likely, he was issued an M16 or M16A1. M16A3's aren't particularly common, only really used by the Navy (SEAL's, SeaBees, and Security.).
Their kill rate in Phuoc Tuy province in Vietnam between 1966-1971 was ~600:1. The SASR killed ~600 NVA/ VC troops, including medium value targets, and lost one SASR trooper killed in action. The Aussie SASR was based out of Nui Dat just east of Saigon for most of the Vietnam War.
This comment section makes me sad to be American. The Aussies are fucking awesome, they even have their own SAS. And they are generous to let us shoot their weapons.
In God We Trust nah nah man dude Ahmet is just another dick head who thinks he can take on the Australian soldier's the ones that are fighting for the freedom and rights of his/its people. But he is probably some muslim extremist who thinks the people who want him to be free dont deserve to have their boots on his sacred hell hole but by all meens they get to try and take over our country by religion Ahmet dude go back to ur country mate u can go live in a war ravaged country man were leeving u can fight for the scraps left by our bad ass soldiers defending our rights to be free
TrailBlazer65 You mean the US army likes destroying mosques and shooting civilians as well as invading countries that are not a threat and whose only crime is to have oil? ALSO, why the f**k would the American army be 'the best' if it needs heavy assistance from every other army in NATO countries? The US army is notorious for having terrible aim, terrible discipline but good equipment. A hammer made of men to which the government throws at the enemy.
It's cool to see our boys and the Aussies training together and all but, the video never got around to the comments by the troops. I'm curious what they thought of each others weapon platforms. Personally, I think they both offer differing pros and cons but most of it is personal preference. I think the M4 carbine has a quicker reload time as opposed to the back-side reloading of the Austeyr. On the other hand, the Austeyr has less moving parts and is less likely to have any jamming problems. So... I guess it's a matter of opinion.
I got to train with the Aussies in 29 palms, great bunch of guys, love the aussies, I think our drinking games were more competitive than anything else we did.
Australian & u.s military's rifles like the M16A4, M4A2 & STG-77 are pretty easy to use. After all, it's mainly chambered in 5.45 & 5.56. In Türkiye, our service rifle chambering is 7.62x51 NATO from our Turkish made MPT-76, now that is a weapon with a lot of stopping power requiring a lot of training to skillfully control the weapon. But glad to see the johnnies not being left behind other nations.
I can tell the difference between an incoming round from an AUG and an M4, due to the 'bang' portion of the 'crack/bang' phenomenon. The M4 has a much higher-pitched ring that can be picked up. Working with Marines was great, but yeah - they love numbers and firepower. Tactically speaking, maybe their field commanders don't have have the lateral freedom Australians have, to implement surprise, guerrilla, deceptive, infiltration or unexpected methodologies upon the enemy. Never underestimate an experienced or advanced Australian infantry section, let alone SAS or a platoon/company/battalion. Bold tactics. Good weapons. Teamwork. Trust. Discipline. Works every time.
australians seem like very cool people, like americans in a way. i'm glad we're allied, like you helped us with vietnam. if ya'll get into trouble like we did w/ vietnam, we're going to help you too. we're stronger together, love from the us.
I know the M4 is a great rifle and the Austeyr is far from perfect (or too perfect depending on how you look at it - tolerances are too tight in some conditions) and I know our 2CDO and SASR prefer the M4 over most rifles indicating they're probably the better weapon, but after seeing the guys handle one then the other, the M4 just looks awkward. To all the dogs bagging out everyone else - when you eventually grow up and move out of your parents house try enlisting. It might teach you a little thing called "shut the fuck up".
All this arguing about which military is better. Frankly I believe the fact that they can work together in this manner shows strength. When working together two sticks are stronger than one. Two different militaries sharing their training is a wonderful sign of this strength.
neat video. it's interesting to watch each side explain to the others how their rifles work. I've handled and fired an AR-15 (the civilian version of what the Marines here are using, for those that don't know), but I've never seen or handled the Styer. It looks like it works well, though that mag being near the butt would throw me off trying to reload (bullpups not being something I'm familiar with).
Funny thing is having used the Steyr and then having had a chance to use the M-16 I really noticed the different weight distribution. The M-16 felt really long and heavy - presumably because more of its weight is further from the centre of your body. It's funny when you are used to one thing how different anything else feels!
yeah, I bet. And yeah, most of the weight is forward in the Stoner rifles (AR 15, AR 10, M-16, M-4 and those using the same pattern) Still a decent balance, but it's different enough that I bet it'd be pretty noticeable.
I've used the AusSteyr a lot. It's handy for those that shoot left handed but mostly its very ergonomic. It feels nice to hold and when you pick it up and even aim in the general direction you're not far off your target at
Slingshots, too, from what I ehar. Which is silly. We have push-button safeties on other weapons here, and air-rifles too. I don't care for them either. having a built in optic is nice, but at the same time it doesn't seem like you could change that. I'll have to ask around and see if any of my shooting pals owns one, see if I can take it to the range.
I heard an Aussie say "this is so much ea..." (4:10) and then he's edited. Probably because he thought the Americans weapon was better in some way. I would have loved to have heard the soldiers speak of their "pros and cons" of each gun.!!
Haha don't let anyone hear you call them guns ;) you'll get your ear chewed off. Especially by the older serving gents. They're Rifles :) Guns are artillery batteries such as howitzers or those cannons mounted to warships.
The M4 is way handier with the controls and reloading (although you can get pretty fast with the Aug/bullpup with some practice) and the Aug is a bit awkward in that department (though it was partially designed that way because of doctrine) but the Aug has better ergonomics and is more comfortable to shoot.
Thomas McNab i know about the palstic but much fun to destroy the plastic. ist impossible. trust me i was in austrian Military and we use this weapon and its amazing;-)
Lol I like the both military's but I laughed when you see us Australians just like all laid back and than the Americans are all standing straight and listening
Derpenstan erfefb in All of my experiences with Diggers in the Outback, the only Aussies I EVER saw wearing Helmets, Were Tank Crews (M-113 APC's) with Gun Turrets. Diggers (Infantry) only wore soft covers.
We have to realize that some of these comments could be coming from our common foes. I'm sure there's great respect for Aussie soldiers in the Marines. They fought valiantly along side them in WW2, Vietnam and other conflicts.
Americans are good guys. I've worked along side them when they come here to Australia but they need to handle their beers better. To them a punch in the head is an event, to us nothing unusual.
Us Aussies always got the Americans back, my dad is fighting now alongside the Americans and tells me how funny they are and how they are brave men. Alot of respect for the Americans👍
People forget the most successful campaign australia and the United States fought was in PNG cleared the whole country of Japanese in ww2. 7000 USA soldiers Kia or wounded or captured. 9000 Australian Kia or wounded or captured. 200,000 Japanese Kia or wounded or captured. Most of the allied casualties came at Kokoda or buna or gona and that was all in 1942.
thats the major reason for these weapons familiarisation courses. It helps to let the guys on the ground understand the capabilities and limitations of their foreign counterparts.
Sorry everyone for the big response.. I just need to get this off my chest: @australbanian7 and Ahmet Zogu I honestly don't care about why you are trolling and hating so much..but please.. lets just get one thing straight here.. In this day and age why insult other nations armed forces? These guys are all heroes, willing to lay down their lives for their country, it is the same for most armed forces.. not sure if Albania is a conscript country so guessing that wouldnt apply? I don't know..not the point. I would just like to prove a point though..for everyone, paying out Australian soldiers is ludacrous. Ever heard of Galipoli? where the Australians had to storm a shingle and then cliff faces with machine gun nests on them..On the western front.. there is a town in France called Villers-Bretonneux, they have a plaque on entering the town that states 'Let us never forget the Australians', as the town was held and recaptured by Aussies who were outnumbered..honestly, just do the tiniest bit of research and you will find out that the ANZAC's actually had a vital and immesnse impact on WW1, it is thought that their contribution in holding key parts of the line against the German sormtroopers meant the war ended a lot sooner than it might have..then there's WW2.. ever heard of Kokoda? and Port Moresby?.. they shouldnt need to be explained..then we have Vietnam.. many forget that Australians went in there with the Americans once the French had pulled out..lots of young aussies were affected, listen to the song that goes 'he was only 19'..and then we have Iraq and Afghanistan which has only just ended for the Aussies.. except for Special Forces etc.. Anyway, rant over, I doubt, if you reply at all, it will be a mature response.. which is dissapointing, perhaps it represents how we have been brought up differently? Note how i have not used any degrading or disrespectful language?... that is all.
3 years later still no respond from him. That's how you know you've beat him and if he does respond it's probably going to be about male genitals or incest to do with mothers
spigotsandcogs The M4/M16 has a buffer recoil spring behind the chamber that makes recoil inline with the barrel so it recoils straight back making it almost non existent. I don't thing the steyr has this but, I could be wrong.
It just looks this way due to it being a shorter firearm. I have fired them and they had surprisingly less recoil than you'd think. Not to mention that and hell I bet on it that most of those yanks never fired a bullpup rifle.
Sawyer Douglas Not necessarily, I have fired both m4 and steyr a1 and thr steyr had a LOD less recoil due to it being a shoter weapon meaning the center of balance it not as wack as an m4 giving you more control.

@@lukereynolds9907 Saved us? winning WWII was a group effort, fyi. America didn't save us and win the war. lol
Why would we still use a bolt action rifle?
And don't talk to us like we are Canadians mate
Aussie Richards it’s a joke mate
I love you Australia
- American Guy
+Brian Byrnes Im about to throw up.
i believe rifle and rights was making a joke. I love you guys too Brian Byrnes
Fail cast game Nah, he is talking shit to anyone that says anything decent about Aussies
you guys are just taking what he said too seriously.
Brian Byrnes; Thanks mate. We love you to.
Australia and the USA have a longstanding history of fighting well together. I'm glad to call you Yanks our allies.
I love the Aussie learning the M4 at 4:10, "So much easier"
TheCoolwhipped I
TheCoolwhipped 2o9
the F88 is basic. basic basic basic
That's why the AR platform is wonderful. It's simple, modular, durable and ergonomically easy to learn.
The F88 gets better accuracy at long ranges, though. So it’s a trade off
I see all the comments about "stop hating on Aussies" (I am one) but I am yet to see one...
Rifle&Rights boi. We barely did anything in the war until it was FOKKING LATE! Main thing we did beforehand was give the other nations guns, vehicles, and other things
Mainly trolls.
Rifle&Rights: Shut up. Come to Australia and spend a weekend in the bush with an army uniform on. Australian teenagers do that. I do that. I'm not even fit or active and I'm in the army cadets.
These replies don't realise that what Rifle&Rights said was a joke. Smh.
Bob we only hate aussies that criticize gun ownership in the us.
Thank you mate, this comment made my day I wish there were more like you.
***** heyy mateee. where do you come from?
Adrian Massarotti
Dickhead.
Don't worry. There's always going to be those who will talk trash about the military and more than likely it's because they didn't have the balls to serve. I served and wouldn't have traded what I did for anything.
***** Highly intelligent comment, thank you.
"Marines and Australian Soldiers Shoot Each Other's Weapons"
mutual masturbation
Vasily Leung *military handjobs
Why's everyone ripping on Australia in these comments?
What did we do to America? We support you guys in everything, we support all countries we have strong ties to
Leave us alone
I'm not ripping on you here. As an American, I appreciate the strong ties both our countries have. Oh...this comment was 6 months old. Whatever. Fuck it. The point is still the same. Take care.
GeneralAgolli And you have eaten everything in sight, because I see you have nothing to stand on. Now go away little troll.
The u.s. is filled with a lot of dumbasses that need murdered. Trust me I live here.
Good to see a strong working relationship between our troops and Australia! :)
Nope all the way with USA for me.
we love our brothers! I sure have your back!
The Aussies are amazing people and we as Americans are lucky to have a great relationship with them. We are both better for that relationship.
The Marine at 3:20 name is Sgt Barker. He was my combat instructor at SOI. Never thought I'd see his face on TH-cam lol
Brian Jimenez i knew i recognized him, he was still there when i was in SOI
@Perko Mcsherry he was very memorable lol good dude tho, took time to teach his boots something when he had the opportunity.
Im disgusted how my fellow Americans are disrespecting the Aussie soldiers.....these guys are sharp and highly professional and willing to go anywhere in the world to fight with Brits and Americans....shoulder shoulder...bad ass dudes....so please stop with the ignorance.
Well said!
Manny Bayo nice to see some americans without the bias hard to come by you people your welcome here in australia any day
SGT ROCK

Respect to all American Troops reading this. I am Australian. Fantastic good to see the boys working together, having fun. As for the Disrespectful idiots in the comments grow up and respect your Allies. Anyone in the comments who is trying to have a dick measuring contest with Australia we are more mature than that and you guys have never been shot at or have ever fought for your country or your Allies, otherwise you wouldn't even fathom posting such disrespect. To you all you have brought your country shame by doing so.
I like to see our two countries working together. And Australia we love you guys but as for disrespectful ppl how fucking dare you i mean what the fuck is wrong with you it takes some major balls to join any military it's sacrifice your asses i bet you couldn't pass a week of basic or how about since you hate us americans so much i dare you to step foot on my soil just do it and Say the wrong thing and your ass will get shot the fuck up and quit talking shit about military they all sacrifice thier lives so you can comment on fucking youtube remember that bitch now shut your mouth grow up and do something with your life btw us americans have nothing against anyone its our gov. But no one is perfect anyway albania you rock
I did actually konrad jablonski you racist piece of shit why cant you people be nice obviously you weren't taught any manners
Kyle Bowman 'Racist', America isn't a race. I only called that lazy General fuck a hillbilly cause he's as homophobic and illiterate as a proper hillbilly.
I'm sure that you know that you're not going to be in the 'Moral high ground' if you support that cretin.
I honestly don't care
Kyle Bowman You seemed pretty zealous when you first commented...
But when the F88 came into service that was all lost.
krissyeh I know, weird setup for sure haha
Our regular army use the Austeyr as their weapon of choice. 2CDO, SASR and one or two other units get to pick their weapon of choice - right down to the individual soldier in some cases - and they generally choose the M4 or similar.
Conversely US special forces are often seen with an F88 Steyr...
The Austeyr is a great combat weapon but the tolerances can be a tad tight making them more susceptible to jamming in sandy conditions.
Sensational rifle for close quarter fighting - most bullpups are though.
when have US special forces been seen with a steyr?
Right you are. I thought I'd seen images of them using them or another bullpup. I'm probably wrong.
Australia, are brothers in arms. God Bless from America!!!
You known the marines want there m4's back and the Australians want there augs back. Lol
+TangoDown16 No shit.
+Rifle&Rights 8 months late bro
TangoDown16 It’s been two years. Hello.
Daniel 786 hi I’d like to get in on this conversation

Patriotism is just saying, we love our country, and we will be willing to fight at any cost for our Australia.
Lol. Have fun fighting for the People's Democratic Republic of Australia.
Patriotism is the worst kind of Stockholm syndrome.
iseeyou1312 That didn't exactly make sense....
45641560456405640563 When you consider a government for what it is, that being a coercive institution with a monopoly on violence over a given geographical area, it makes perfect sense.
iseeyou1312 Yeah.... sure..... I figured it would be some nutter philosophy but hoped against hope it might have been something originally amusing for me to laugh at derisively rather than so cliché. Thanks for clearing that up, I'll get over the disappointment. I was going to ask about the Peoples Democratic Republic of Australia bit but then the answer would probably also be not worth your time typing.
iseeyou1312 Patriotism has helped give you the freedom to spout you nonsense. You sir need to live in the real world instead of you intellectual cocoon you wrap yourself in because being smart doesn't necessarily always make you right.
Pretty sure old mate at 4:07 was going to say "So much easier than the Styer" before the clip was cut hahaha
slavick07 hahaha I thought so too
+slavick07 he did, you know how heavy those bullpups are?
+MysticalLobster All too well mate, I used one for 8 years.
Steyr Carbines are 3.2kg (unloaded)... the M16A4 is also 3.2kg (unloaded).
slavick07 there called magazines idiot
Those Australian weapons look on point, nicr to see troops from two nations assisting each other.
I like seeing them have fun with eachother, men form opposite sides of the earth being friends is always a good sight.
Australia is one of the last true friends that America has, treat them better.
Oh no lots of Australian hate Americans
+Robert Haxor I'm an Australian and I don't.
U druggo.
Not really... Japan, S. Korea, Guam, Puerto Rico, SOME of Europe, and more.
Jacob Pebbl
You don't speak for all
If I was gay
The rest of my country wouldn't be gay
And NewZealand mate
You could see that U.S. Marine at 0:28 trying to hide that huge smile when he heard they have us real Aussies next to them in war. And this includes our Kiwi brothers from accross the pond. Much love to all Allied forces world wide!
I'd like to hear their reactions after shooting.
generally the Marines say the Austeyr is better than the M4 and the Diggers say the M4 is better than the Austeyr
diggers? never heard anyone call us diggers before. May as well call you jarheads
No offence, but do you live under a rock?
What we are diggers where the fuck have you been
lmao "diggers" Australians have the funniest slang and names for anything I've ever heard. Like who the fuck called it a "didgeridoo" that's the most australian-sounding word in the world.
Really good, as an Australian to see the US and our boys having fun, looooong history of comradery between these two nations.
Its really cool to see the people of 2 great nations come together and to teach one another and also to build a better relationship.
As an Aussie i respect the US Marines. Any Person who signs up for the defense of their nation regardless of their country or branch of service has my respects.
The US marine cracked me up explaining the M4.
"That's safety, that's single... And that's fuckin... Burss... We don't fuck with dat"
I thought he said Burst and then Thats what we usually use
Riley Gilbert you mean burst?
"Left handed? You left handed?"
Ah the joy of having a bullpup
The Aussies and US have been allies since 1918. We've been in treaty with each other since 1953, the ANZUS Treaty. The Aussie Army sent 50,000 troops who fought in Vietnam for seven years. The US based all of it's troops in Australia during WW2, MacArthur commanded them from Brisbane in Queensland. Australia has fought beside the US in more wars than any other country, even the Britain and Canada. We won't be attacking you boys with M4s :)
mate as aussie myself we are happy to help in any way thank you for helping us as we help you
hopefully not nukes either, lmao
Why are y'all being so critical of the Australian army? They have helped the Americans more than most countries.
Anthony Mathis actually we help them more, we don't need help from australia.
@James Jaks123
So you don't need a friendly country with huge landmass that is isolated from any other threatening force for miles? Face it, you need us so you can have the pacific in your pocket.
James Jaks123 Ask an old North Vietnamese about the Ma Rung you fuckwit. That's what they called the Australian SAS - the phantoms of the jungle. It's on record that the only troops they genuinely feared were the Australian SAS.
Apexah That's right mate.
Anthony Mathis I don't see any negative comments. But, then again, I have had TH-cam change my comments completely before!!!!
You know what, Thats for the better of both sides. Learning each other's weapons. As a rifleman, your rifle is you. So by learning each others rifle they are learning each other and coming closer as brothers in arms.
I have the utmost respect for both Marines and ADF. They both kick ass.
THIS IS MY RIFLE! THERE ARE MANY OTHERS LIKE IT BUT THIS ONE IS MINE!!
Love it how us Aussies are still wearing bucket hats
Bucket hats are an Australian national treasure
KT Sollorz try wearing your snap back out there lol burnt neck nd ears
No hat No play
Even civilians wear them
When I was in the Australian Army (1986 to 1999) we called them Giggle Hats.
I think I can explain all this hatred for Aussie soldiers in one word.
Jealousy.
Timmoux No, Ignorance is the word.
Timmoux I’m not gonna lie, the aug makes me jealous compared to the M4
Jingoistic gotta insist they're better when nobody's even arguing
Timmoux I don’t hate Australia but jealous over what lol? We sell you 90 percent of your vehicles we supply you with a lot of shit and have a budget 1000x higher there’s nothing to really be jealous about your army is quite limited but your men fight hard and are tough as nails
Jealous of what exactly?
Love from America! Australia is our greatest ally!
Proud American, love my brothers from down under, always up for a good fight.
Sorry about my fellow Americans in the comment section making us all look bad. please don't think we are all like this.
Like what? I don't see the spicy comments.
'' And this is the burst, which we never fucking use'' Marines are so bad-ass xD
Doge mcshiba WHY ? Every M-16 when I was in had Selector Switches for Safe, Fire and Full Auto, EVERY ONE. "When in Doubt, Empty the Magazine"
But I'm still a civvy, so I could be wrong."
Most likely, he was issued an M16 or M16A1. M16A3's aren't particularly common, only really used by the Navy (SEAL's, SeaBees, and Security.).
My A2 had burst. We found occasional use for it.
terry mcgeown Those Marines are just regular grunts too. You’re acting like Marines are a Special operations unit.
Some comments on here make me wanna give up on humanity.
Ciarán Uí Néill then give up wussy
Be quiet JESUSCHRIST IT'SJASONBOURNE.
I gave up a long time ago.
Welcome to the club.
every time an australian weapon goes off the bang is actually a really loud "G'day!' ;D
The switch from SLRs to AUGs was the ADF's worst mistake since the Gallipoli Campaign.
This comment section makes me sad to be American. The Aussies are fucking awesome, they even have their own SAS. And they are generous to let us shoot their weapons.
Could have sworn the Australian guy said "so much easier" when using the M4 at 4:10. I'd agree with him too.
Hahaha he did mate, because it bloody well is! Our weapon system is pretty complex in comparison when it comes to immediate action drills!
yeah no wonder the sas/commandos/divers use M4s!
Ahmet Zogu What the fuck are you talking about ya fucking knob jockey?
Alec Smith Im fairly certain most are using the M468 these days - they look almost identical to M4
In God We Trust nah nah man dude Ahmet is just another dick head who thinks he can take on the Australian soldier's the ones that are fighting for the freedom and rights of his/its people. But he is probably some muslim extremist who thinks the people who want him to be free dont deserve to have their boots on his sacred hell hole but by all meens they get to try and take over our country by religion Ahmet dude go back to ur country mate u can go live in a war ravaged country man were leeving u can fight for the scraps left by our bad ass soldiers defending our rights to be free
lol thought it said they were shooting eachother, not eachothers weapons, was like, i gotta see this.
Lol ALRIGHT MATES TODAY WE ARE GOING TO SHOOT THE SHIT OUT OF EACHOTHER
Well we gotta keep the military industrial complex going somehow, even if we have to start shooting each other.
“Marines and Australian Soldiers Shoot Each Other.” This is how the title appeared on my screen... before I clicked this video.
Respect to our brothers in arm from the UK.
Aussies are as solid as they get !! you dont have an army till you got the aussies on your side lol !!
You mean America?
No I mean having aussie on the American side .... we always back up the good fight ..
Angus Landeryou another anti-American!!!
***** and what the hell this has to do with anti-Americanism? indeed, a reason not to be anti-American.
Australia is one America's BFFs from a loooong time ago and for a loooong time to come!
Beautiful land and awesome people.
Love seeing our foreign brothers working and having a time together
I'm just here to see what the call if duty weapon experts have to say.
Superb comment!
I reckon Australian Troops and Rhoadesian troops combine would take out most of the free world
I can tell the difference between an incoming round from an AUG and an M4, due to the 'bang' portion of the 'crack/bang' phenomenon.
Bro I love Aussies and their bullpup guns. Their crazed spirit dwells dead inside of my American heart!
australians seem like very cool people, like americans in a way. i'm glad we're allied, like you helped us with vietnam. if ya'll get into trouble like we did w/ vietnam, we're going to help you too. we're stronger together, love from the us.
Since WW1 and every Battlefield since We've been battle brothers, Closest ally are you Muricans mate
UK+United States+Canada+Australia= LEGENDARY
I know the M4 is a great rifle and the Austeyr is far from perfect (or too perfect depending on how you look at it - tolerances are too tight in some conditions) and I know our 2CDO and SASR prefer the M4 over most rifles indicating they're probably the better weapon, but after seeing the guys handle one then the other, the M4 just looks awkward.
To all the dogs bagging out everyone else - when you eventually grow up and move out of your parents house try enlisting. It might teach you a little thing called "shut the fuck up".
I've heard the special forces use M4s because they are far more likely to operate near US forces so it helps to be able to share spare parts and ammo.
All this arguing about which military is better. Frankly I believe the fact that they can work together in this manner shows strength. When working together two sticks are stronger than one. Two different militaries sharing their training is a wonderful sign of this strength.
Nice to see the marines and australian soldier having fun with eachothers weapons. restores humanity.
okrajoe hi
Heyyy
My name na Jeff
w
Australia has an Army? They don't even let their citizens carry a fingernail file....
Australia's a awesome country
neat video. it's interesting to watch each side explain to the others how their rifles work.
Look at all those brave men willing to lay down their lives for strangers. Its because of men like this that evil in the world has never won out
3:26 “This is burst, which we never fucking use” lol
I heard an Aussie say "this is so much ea..." (4:10) and then he's edited. Probably because he thought the Americans weapon was better in some way. I would have loved to have heard the soldiers speak of their "pros and cons" of each gun.!!
Haha don't let anyone hear you call them guns ;) you'll get your ear chewed off. Especially by the older serving gents. They're Rifles :)
Guns are artillery batteries such as howitzers or those cannons mounted to warships.
"This is my Rifle this is my Gun, This is for shooting this is for Fun."
Brings back Memories lol
The M4 is way handier with the controls and reloading (although you can get pretty fast with the Aug/bullpup with some practice) and the Aug is a bit awkward in that department (though it was partially designed that way because of doctrine) but the Aug has better ergonomics and is more comfortable to shoot.
oh steyr AUG, beautiful;-)
The thing you do not know is that the AUG is made of plastic!
Thomas McNab not at all. but what should i say. the stg77 works and not like the m16 fail;-)
alfredo elbombo The green one is made of plastic. Trust me my father was in Australian military
Thomas McNab i know about the palstic but much fun to destroy the plastic. ist impossible. trust me i was in austrian Military and we use this weapon and its amazing;-)
+alfredo elbombo I have a hard time believing you but what evee
the aussie optics look pretty sick
aussies and americans..friends forever! i live in socal and aussies have the same culture we have ... surf, beach, etc.
Good to see the boys getting familiar with each others gear,
I hope future sessions went as well
that aug is sweet.
+Austin Hurley No, Its really not unless you blow your cap off with it I would love to see that.
We call it the austeyr actually as it's a modified version of the aug made specifically for Australia
C H A N C E It's pretty shit apparently.
I guess I'll find out when I actually shoot one of the things
4:10 .. . . so much easier.
That marine at 4:34, like "the fuck are you doing?"
We have to realize that some of these comments could be coming from our common foes.
I'm sure there's great respect for Aussie soldiers in the Marines.
They fought valiantly along side them in WW2, Vietnam and other conflicts.
Why are people being so mean in the comments can't we just get along and enjoy the video.
+AKchickenman No, Go fuck yourself.
+Rifle&Rights obvious troll is obvious
+Rifle&Rights lol if you're going to troll at least be good at it
+Rifle&Rights still shit at trolling
AKchickenman Well I found out that your under the age of being worth "trolled" when you said trolled because only young kids say troll so....EXPOSED!
Americans are good guys. I've worked along side them when they come here to Australia but they need to handle their beers better. To them a punch in the head is an event, to us nothing unusual.
Time to hit the roooooad
I just need to get this off my chest:
@australbanian7 and Ahmet Zogu
I honestly don't care about why you are trolling and hating so much..but please.. lets just get one thing straight here..
He is dead from Albanian rent boy syndrome, went to Syria Kurds took him out .
But is that AUG StatTrak though....
Everything in Australia is upside down isn't it? They got their mags on the wrong side of the fuckin' rifle!
Called a bullpup design mate
Ryan Nguyen (making a joke)
+mwal tus Even though you where making a joke it would make more sense if you said "they have there mags on the wrong end of the rifle" not side.
EpicWaterDrop Not too classy to correct someone in their grammar if you're going to be incorrect in your spelling.
What was my spelling mistake?
Oorah Fiocco, I had the pleasure of training along side her at the Defense Information School at fort Meade.
"...and this is burst, which we never fuckin' use 3:26"
Lol yeah that's what all my vet friends told me.
The Aussies were a tough bunch during ww1 and they are a tough bunch today!
Dude I could have used subtitles I don't speak Australian
......~Farewell now please leave promptly
title annoys me should be "fires each other's weapons"
3:24 "And then this is burst. Which we never fuckin' use." hahaha
looks like there is a hell of a lot more recoil on the F88 Austeyr
Odd, because they fire the exact same round. Maybe the bullpup layout means more felt recoil?
spigotsandcogs does the bullpup layout cause the gun to sound louder to the shooter?
spigotsandcogs The M4/M16 has a buffer recoil spring behind the chamber that makes recoil inline with the barrel so it recoils straight back making it almost non existent.
