As you can clearly hear, the cameraman, most likely leadership as well, offers a friendly form for encouragement as well, to both increase the general attitude towards the assignment, but also to help those soldiers who are falling behind and are pushing their limits to the max.
Back when I was Infantry I was a true bad ass. I was tabbed with a CQRANGER tab. When i went through Airborne school I made all my jumps from the C130 with my CQ desk strapped to my waist. Exactly what I was thinking, POGs don't know what's up. I miss the good old days in 1st ID. The only thing we did different is not putting ear pro in, there isn't any time for that in a fire fight. Other than that some real good training.
I remember in basic training someone actually said: Infantry is the most wonderfull thing in the marine core. So we all joined. Never experienced such a wonderfull lie.
When I was younger I thought being infantry meant doing all this stuff doesn’t hurt. Now that I’m older I’ve realized that it hurts. And you just gotta deal with it. Football built my mental toughness. I went to relaxin Jackson. It was basically summer camp compared to football. Now I’m in college rotc working to my dream of being an infantry officer. That’s all I want out of life. To lead men into battle.
What is this? The gym? They probably showed them how to do it correctly the first time, the next is they have to do it correctly while the trainers/sgts check on them.
noestoyfacil because I've grown up in a military family and have gone through JROTC as well as as a kid I was seeing veterans and told stories of the courage of troops and thought if I served I'd be able to help a new generation love how they want like I have and am proud to have.

@@analogeitYes, the body makes you breathe through the mouth because it requires more oxygen than what can be delivered through your nostrils. Forcing breath through the nostrils will make your body "think" that something is blocking the oral pathway, and then the body tries to clear it by vomiting. This is very common cause of death in kidnappings: when the mouth is covered with tape and the victims starts hyperventilating due to stress and panic, the body tries to clear the pathway. Since the mouth is covered with tape and the expulsion has nowhere to go, the victim drowns in their own vomit.
For new people who may not know. This is to keep your heart rate up and still hit the target. This is something you can also practice on you own. You don't need to be in the Military for that. Practice breathing exercises and that will help.
Or the people who don't know decided not to chime in... this could very well be a confirmation bias... or the people who saw this clip were mostly who have experienced this, idk how youtube algorithm works in this case...

I serve as a infantrymen for 11 years, when it come to marksmanship you have to train them properly not yapping your mouth, its a qualification paper target. Not a stress shoot. There's time and place to apply corrective action. This the reason why all the good leaders left the Army. And the reason why soldiers don't have any respect on there leadership. Leaders is a mentor you training soldiers to become the feature leaders, as a leader what ever you do to your team, squad will reflect on you as a leader. Set them for success.
I'm enlisted but I haven't been in their shoes yet, and I'm glad. God bless those privates and NCOs, I hope every one of them made it home safe & had a wonderful reunition with their families.
Been there, done that. Having a beer on the back porch watching these young boys become men brings a smile to my face. The suck is real. And it builds you. Totally understand there is a clear delineation between smoke session and live. However, during the smoke session seeing those muzzles pointed at your battle buddy just makes me cringe. That’s my 2 cents to the AAR. But kudos for smoking them before shooting. Few units do that. And as witnessed by fogged up eye pro, elevated heart rates, and general confusion.... it makes a difference. Well done. “Keep up the Fire.”
Shit I’m still a grunt I’ve got 3 years in already and I re enlisted lol damn I’m dumb asf but whatever I guess all I know is that I’m reclassing as soon as I get a 110 gt score
Watching this reminds me of when I did my military service in Switzerland, and there was one glaring difference (apart from obviously better US equipment). When a superior (NCO or officer) punished us, he did the punishment WITH us. If they ordered us to do 50 push-ups, they did the push-ups with us and counted them. If they thought we deserved to do sit-ups and planks for 10min straight, then they did it along with us. There was never any physical hazing that our superiors didn't do at the same time as us. This made us respect our superiors enormously and we also resented them less afterwards. (Also it prevents abusive punishment because if it's unrealistically hard the NCOs won't be able to do it either). It was an enormously important aspect of our discipline and hierarchy and I think every army should apply this.
The USmilitary has implemented that amongst other things to combat hazing. On bases today ncos must be also preforming some type of physical activity along side the privets, while they’re being smoked. If not it’s considered demeaning & you can find your self being charged for hazing. This range is more so an organized shoot, so the senior Ncos are providing a supervisor/ instructor billet.
Around 3:05, I found it comical that the 'Low" song was playing in the background while they were getting smoked. ....She hit the floor (she hit the floor) Next thing you know Shawty got low low low low low low low low.....

I became the ultimate SHAMMER. Some even said I became invisible until final formation. 😂😂😂 I came from the shadows, therefore I am a shadow warrior.
Lol i got my shammer tab 7 months before I got out. My knee was busted and I had a permanent profile but I did my time and my ncos knew that so they didn't fuck with me. When we had a dumb detail like cleaning the company Ao my team leader would ask me if I needed to do anything at the soldier support center which was basically code for fuck off.

Agreed, however OCP costs cheaper than Multicam (due to licensing costs to Crye).
So is America just using British multicam now?
I mean it actually works ahahaha
They sorta look like a more-tan version of woodland BDUs
was lucky enough to be in the platoon that got smoked so much we just stopped caring, numb to the pain some might say. God those were some loooong days.
That process is always the worst... The amount of pain before the numbing takes hold.
"Might help to have your bolt locked forward genius! " I laughed so hard at that 😆

AnnArborIsAWhore POG***
I've definitely been there lol everyone gets smoked, its just part of living that lifestyle. POG's don't really understand.
I'm so glad to see the smoke session hasn't left the Army.

The nightmares
When I was younger I thought being infantry meant doing all this stuff doesn’t hurt. Now that I’m older I’ve realized that it hurts. And you just gotta deal with it. Football built my mental toughness. I went to relaxin Jackson. It was basically summer camp compared to football. Now I’m in college rotc working to my dream of being an infantry officer. That’s all I want out of life. To lead men into battle.

You have an attitude problem, so go fuck yourself and don't join. Little shits like you are the reason why most people want to leave the army.
My football coach was a marine, and he made us do these every practice. Now I know where theses exercises come from.

This is a great work out plan! I wish I had joined the Military when I had the chance. Both of my parents did join the Army. My father was drafted to go to Vietnam 23rd C Company. Now I am 47yrs and approaching 48yrs old. But, this is one hell of a work out!
It dont matter nose or mouth those ipro still get fuggy
bird birdbirdman even with sweat and steam coming off your body.
The point was for him to stop being a mouth breather
@@analogeitYes, the body makes you breathe through the mouth because it requires more oxygen than what can be delivered through your nostrils. Forcing breath through the nostrils will make your body "think" that something is blocking the oral pathway, and then the body tries to clear it by vomiting. This is very common cause of death in kidnappings: when the mouth is covered with tape and the victims starts hyperventilating due to stress and panic, the body tries to clear the pathway. Since the mouth is covered with tape and the expulsion has nowhere to go, the victim drowns in their own vomit.
@@blzahz7633 Good knowledge.

For new people who may not know. This is to keep your heart rate up and still hit the target. This is something you can also practice on you own. You don't need to be in the Military for that. Practice breathing exercises and that will help.

A E so you dont PT in the morning. At all? Reserved shit idk
Guardian 69 Navy isn't like the army. Generally sailors work on vessels where it's really not pertinent for them to PT themselves to death. I feel sorry for ship sailors since they work some unrealistically stupid hours on top of all the collaterals one might have. I'd rather get smoked than be a surface/sub sailor.

Have to say this is a lot easier in a professional army, with volunteers. It's a complete other story with conscription, in Finland for example..
Nobody gives a fuck about finland

I serve as a infantrymen for 11 years, when it come to marksmanship you have to train them properly not yapping your mouth, its a qualification paper target. Not a stress shoot. There's time and place to apply corrective action. This the reason why all the good leaders left the Army. And the reason why soldiers don't have any respect on there leadership. Leaders is a mentor you training soldiers to become the feature leaders, as a leader what ever you do to your team, squad will reflect on you as a leader. Set them for success.
Why is the sky blue? GOD loves the infantry. (If you don't know what I am talking about you were not in the Army) love you guys!

Ahh, I remember these days... lol not me being smoked, but me watching Joes getting smoked from 12,000 ft in the air from my POG UAV shelter lol.

Being a generator mechanic doesn't sound so bad anymore. I'm proud of my job but damn I give these guys the most respect! HOOAH!
As a retiree, I remembered that. General Patton said the more you sweet I training the less you'll bleed in combat.
If you think an IOTV is better equipment. Then my god you guys have dog shit, lol.
This isn't a punishment. Its a stress shoot.
Around 3:05, I found it comical that the 'Low" song was playing in the background while they were getting smoked.
....She hit the floor (she hit the floor)
