    1. CourseCareers is self paced. You can finish it in 3 weeks or 3 months. They offer tech sales roles only & are partnered with tech companies, so they’re usually able to get you a tech career quickly or a paid internship (up to $21/hr) while you wait to get hired on.
    They only offer courses for people in North America. They’re just $449 with my discount code that gives you $50 off!

    2. Careerist (the bootcamp I chose/USA Only)
    These courses are 4 weeks long, virtual and are 8pm - 10:30pm Sun- Thur (Eastern). They record their classes In case you miss any. They are not partnered with tech companies, but they fix your resume & LinkedIn to industry standards and they apply to 5 companies a day for you & set you up on interviews.
    They also do interview coaching & provide really good interview cheat sheets. They’re $4k, but I have a $300 discount link that you use with their sales too! The discount Is attached to the link automatically.

      Major congrats on finishing! I usually encourage people to make sure they start applying to jobs a couple weeks before completing the course, so if you haven’t, definitely do that asap.
      1. Create a tracking graph and consistent schedule for applying to 5 - 20 companies a day, reaching out to the specific recruiter/hiring managers
      2. Posting and networking on LinkedIn & going to networking events. We’ll launch an email list the 1st week of Feb that will announce all upcoming tech networking events!
      3. Stay consistent and be confident & prepared for your interviews. If you end up having trouble with interviews or resumes, you can join our Patreon community. We’ll have recruiters and coaches on their training people to get hired and promoted quickly. Keep me posted!

    Hello Cyrus! I am considering Careerist. Have you ever interviewed recent graduates from the program? I'm curious as to whether they are maintaining the same quality as they did during your cohort.
    They have 10x more students (esp. of black and brown ppl nowadays thanks to promotions). I'm black myself and considered them after watching your videos.

    • @techisthenewblack
      @techisthenewblack  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      hey, I’ve put a pause on recommending them UNTIL they get a better grip on how many students they allow in a cohort/the level of support each student has from their staff. They’ve been accepting a lot of students and (in my opinion) should provide more staff to accommodate those students. They’ve been working on it and keeping me updated with changes they’ve been making. But in the meantime, I’ll hold off until a month or 2. Still a decent program, people are still getting jobs. But I want their quality to be a bit better if I’m gonna recommend them again.

      @@entertainmentfunzone Hello DixieDice! Thank you for offering to answer my questions.
      I was looking into their Sales Engineer course. It looks like they are down to only one instructor. But Manual QA has many instructors. My main apprehension to joining is knowing whether or not they give ample support to their students.
      How's the value been so far for what you paid? And how much does their JAS software cost? I heard it isn't free.

    • @techisthenewblack
      @techisthenewblack  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, so for myself and many friends of mine, the bootcamp was all we needed. I don’t have any college experience or a degree. These boot camps give you the training, education and help that you need. So a TECH SPECIFIC DEGREE CAN HELP, but it is unnecessary. As long as you do your part and the better you do your part, the faster they can help you break into tech.
      Also, we have a private community where we bring on tech recruiters, hiring managers, resume writers and interview coaches that help our community get a job in tech and scale their career. (link in our bio to join!)
