Hello am from the Philippines and yes the Philippines is a cheap paradise, nice beaches, nice people, and lots of diversity but that is only a small part of the Philippines and most of the country is impoverished so dont expect everyone to be honest with there prices especialy to tourist. But mostly you will have a wounderful experience you will just have to keep your guard up.
Fun Fact, Philippines has no Komodo Dragons just some monitor lizards that get to a size up to 3 feet the largest (we call it locally as "bayawak") and they're afraid of people. They usually live inside a dead coconut trunk and eat small livestock like chickens and alike but never attack people. By the way, welcome back to the Philippines Brett. We would've never done that if it wasn't for the detailed videos like this. I started to realize it is possible to travel without spending so much money. Now Brett flew like 20 to 40 hrs just to get to this destination. Travelling is fun, but remember that it also takes a lot of physical & mental energy for any traveller especially these days. I was at Taste El Nido (vegan cafe) one day and didn't realize I was sitting next to Brett and Noelle til about 5 minutes after I placed my order! I was too shy to say hi lol but that was pretty cool! :) Loved this video! Making me miss the Philippines now.

as a filipino who lives in the visayas region, i am always amazed everytime i get to visit some beaches both commercial and inland islands..... also with some caves and mountains that looked like paintings are just breath taking... i am happy you enjoyed your travels here!!!!
Hi Brett, What a coincidence! Our family rescued a sea turtle and handed it over to a local wildlife rescue organization here in Louisiana and they asked my son to name the turtle. He named it Pistachio and it was released into the Gulf of Mexico. Was the Pistachio that you are tracking ever near Louisiana in the Gulf of Mexico? Lol
I have been lucky in life and have had many friends from the Philippines and wow, they are wonderful humans. funny, oh so much fun. Their energy and life force is so beautiful… I’m definitely going there some day.

Fun fact there are islands with comodo dragons. They are not a native but they can swim from islands to islands. Search it up.
