Incredibly and amazing amanpulo island which i think is the best beaches and resort in the world. This is the first time ive showed this kind of island in video in the Philippines. Recently, I watched your reviews on Aman hotels in Japan and I mentioned in Amanemu video that Amanpulo is a nice place too. Now this! You were here in the Philippines and hopefully you enjoyed your stay! Also, it was not "champorado" (sweet) that porridge is called "arroz caldo". Another thing, I also agree that foods are a bit pricey but what can I say, we're in an island with limited options. Thank you on your review, it's a bit long like watching a whole movie but it is informative and the transitions from one scene to another were good. Looking forward for your CIR stay. Safe travels!
I was thinking about the bottle of 2013 Dom Perignon being sold at $510.00 U.S. I have a bottle of 1964 Dom... wonder what they would charge for that? A beautiful resort though I thought the room was quite standard (and over pierced). I cannot fathom paying $2200+ per might without meals included? The food prices were high but as you said, the quality was exceptional. When you are trapped on an island they really can gouge the consumer and this place is no exception. Thank you sir for sharing your experience at Aman. Your detailed toured stands second to no one on this website and all of your time and effort put in is sincerely appreciated. I think its the Aman brand and very low touch hospitality is what everyone seems to be paying for, personally I think better value exists at other small resort chains that are local.

I am such a fan of Aman Resort properties. I am an architect so I really appreciate their ethos which is subdued luxury while highlighting the unique culture innate in different properties. Their branding is so clean yet luxurious. It isn’t loud. Btw, Amanpulo was designed by the renowned Filipino Architect Francsico “Bobby” Mañosa. He’s a National Artist - the highest award one could receive in the Philippines. His work focuses on establishing Filipino Identity thru ecologically sensitive architecture. He’s like the Frank Lloyd Wright of the Philippines. Amanpulo however has grown old and “bland” when you compared to newer Aman properties in my opinion. All Aman in South East Asia are better looking in terms of architecture. Especially Amanoi, Amanpuri, and Amankila. But no Aman properties can beat the natural island and purest white beach setting of Amanpulo. I also noticed that almost everything has to be paid. It’s like you have no choice but to be extorted because you are stuck in the island. Lots of Aman properties do that but I don’t think it’s on the same level as the one that’s happening in Amanpulo. Overall, Amanpulo is truly one of the most unbelievably beautiful places on Earth. But yo pay at least half a million pesos for a two-night stay for two is too much even for wealthy filipinos. Haha
The best of the best! A totally relaxing decompress resort to recharge . The views are phenomenal, service unsurpassed! Ideal for newlyweds, honeymooners, and families, .but it presents that lonely remote eerie feel especially at night.. it has that depressing vibe because of a few quests.. just my thoughts. I prefer a few more people, a few laughter and talk. People make a place beautiful

I went there in September last year, it was a hefty price, but worth it, there was your own butler, giant houses, pools like very wide, breakfast is AMAZING. But the plane was very loud though, I had to wear earbuds

The island is so big for an ultra exclusive resort..that they can’t maintain to clean any surface.. not sure if its truly worth of over $2K a night.. We stayed at Hilton in Seychelles and and it’s not that expensive but beautiful as well, like nobody there but us.
I enjoyed Sabang Palawan nice beach hotels for around 8,000php per night. Very peaceful. Not comparable price-wise I know but still I prefer to be little bit near a town and some activities and be able to choose to do nothing or something if I feel like it.
