I honestly don't think people are as interested in the World Cup as they are with the current state of overwatch. I'd rather there be a discussion about this in order to keep the community stable...
I've learned a lot from a couple of these videos now... specifically defending the first point on volskaya industries and this one here about letting them capture the first point and then stopping them in overtime. I would've never thought about that
I would really like to see more tactical guides for the ladder/soloQ and low to mid tiers. This video got some really nice and good hints and tactics explained - but in the reality of matchmaking it doesn't work (even with voice, most won't understand nor listen to a call like this - at least not from my exp).
i have been hearing people like timthetatman and others say that overwatch is dead, could you make a video on this topic so people don't leave the game just because some streamers say they want a break from it, i have a feeling the trend of "being sick of this meta" is literally dissuading players from coming back, and it basically is diminishing the player base. i feel its an interesting aspect to the overwatch community, how known players' opinions on stuff influences how people see the facts when it comes to meta and overwatch in general, could be a fun community based topic video, would be interesting to see what you guys think, thanks for the year plus of entertainment and ow-educational content
It's only because blizzard fucked up by nerfing roadhog and now d.va winston have been running rampant in every single game since. Meta is stale so people are getting bored. Playing with/against the same 6-8 heros every game gets old fast :/
I do think some streamers and people sometimes feel like they need to take a break because at the top tiers like high GM top 500 they have to (or at least feel like they have to) play the meta every game, which I guess could get repetitive for some people, however i get annoyed when people I play with in diamond think that they have to play dive or its automatically a loss, and im like, its low-mid tier match making... we can try an anti-dive comp... yes that insulting my mom is toxic... oh look, a leaver
I think the point of the pro breakdowns is to help you understand how the game is supposed to work, which in turn helps you recognize when principles they talk about can be applied, which will raise your chances of winning in those scenarios.
Just because a pro does a certain startegy doesn't mean that us comp players can't learn it That's like saying oh Your Overwatch why are you telling us to regroup after a lost fight and not to trickle only pros do that with their communication
some simple easy fundamentals of OW are clearly portrayed in pro games that can be used by Diamond and even Plats like simply holding your Ults for one clean engage in OT or regrouping or hiding with mercy Rez
Last night had a game on watchpoint where we got rolled on defense (they had 4 min something left) and we got it with a couple seconds left so we got a min,we get it all the way in ot with some follow up on bad gravs on my part from my dva and mcree and some actual good gravs to stop them from getting second point to give us the win. So glad i decided to record that match

Correct. The ult NOT landing is good for France, trying to save the fight versus the massive over-investment was a mistake by France, but mitigated by Denmark not letting the French Beat Drop. -F
This theory works, the problem is in diamond and below getting 3-5 strangers to believe losing a fight to win a game is basically impossible. There is so much that without a doubt works at the GM-pro level play that will never be possible at the lower ranks. Even in a 6 stack of friends that's a tall order
@YourOverwatch you guys have said recently that eeveea's mercy play style is how mercy should be played. He makes key revives but he focuses on making quality rezs instead of large quantity rezs. In your one and only mercy guide (which is definitely showing its age) you say that a Rez isn't worth it if it's not a 3 man + Rez or else it doesn't provide that swing factor. Can you please make an updated mercy guide on Rez prioritization and how we should play her currently?

Drew Yount Well I am almost 19 and got used to Go to sleep at 11 pm recently. I used to sleep at 2-3 in the morning, But was always very tired in the morning. So what i would do now is Go to bed At 11 and if a youtuber uploads something, I would just watch it in the morning At 7-8 AM
Overtime should be like a total of 2 minutes. You shouldn't be able to take the payload the whole way to the end. It's like playing a whole game again.
You are about 20% of your team. If someone wants to play mei or bastion, just build around them. It is better to get a half decent off meta pick, than a shit tank pick
Watching these types of videos from like 3 or 4 channels always helps me improve my game, quite well, but being around a gold and Plat placed player (ik it's gonna sound cliché but I'm pretty sure I'm better than gold. I'm not like top 500 or anything but I almost always mechanically beat other golds and plats, and can keep up with diamonds and master's in arcade games like widows only - very fun game mode btw) but it's so difficult to pass this wisdom on to my team. Whenever I try to tell them to save ults or to combine them or to group up and have a team fight and not to go in alone and try to 1v6 tac visor a dva and winston, it never ends well. They always either get tilted or just completely ignore me. Another big problem I've found is getting people to join team chat, which shouldn't be a problem at all. Any advice?
Ian Morrison find a healer/support friend, there's a lot of ways you can pull off team winning plays, ie zen blade, Lucio Reaper Dive (very strong on KOTH), obviously Pharah/mercy, Winston/ana, Winston/DVA (jump support together), doing this you will rank up pretty fast. etc.

Your Overwatch are you aware of the temple of anubis glitch on point B? In my past two games on this map i have been against a team abusing this. In my games a pharah had trapped herself in the pillar middle of the point, constantly contesting and still able to shoot. I play pn ps4 so am not sure if this bug extends to pc.
Yes, without a doubt. Rogue MUST take 1st ... and 2 fights in streets... and 2 fights in 3rd... The WORST thing you can do in cash in a big ult team fight before Overtime and then lose ult economy momentum. -F

Whether you guys believe it or not this is true. I was playing a comp game on kings row yesterday and both teams finished the map. The other team had 5 minutes and we had 1 minute. We managed to get the point but it was in overtime. I was playing rein and their McCree managed to flash bang me and then their team took me out. We still managed to win the fight using ults. So while I was dead I literally said about 5 or 6 times not to get off the payload for even a second or overtime will tick down. Then my entire team except our reaper got off the payload to fight them coming out of spawn. During the fight the reaper also decided to get off just as I was coming out of spawn. Overtime ticked down and we ended up losing the game even though we almost full held the first point. The reaper knew he was the last one on the payload but his excuse was "I'm reaper I'm meant to flank"

I want more proper tactical videos and combinations that are not just the 'meta' when clearly the heroes are vast and you can find a counter in the rooster. Junkrat+Mei and Reaper are a good dive counter. Your Overwatch should be doing far more tactical videos on combos of heroes and teams that are not just meta, countering all sorts of formations. If football coaches can come up with formations we should be able to in Overwatch. So do more tactical videos

you can play a chess computer to see if it makes good moves, but that wont tell you if it knows that its playing chess, or that it knows what chess is

you can't really compare pro scene overtimes to ones in matchmaking. we have to deal with satan and reaper bullshitting on the point

TLDR; Know when to retreat. A 5-4 is no different than a 5-3.
