I just started watching your videos and my gameplay has gotten better by so much. I was struggling to understand how to pick for a good team comp and my Winston play was terrible till I watched one of your videos on him. And when I realized I was playing some characters wrong (like soldier and dva) and I changed how I played them, I immediately saw how much better they were. I really appreciate what you guys do for the newer overwatch players and hope fully I will get to a point where I have the same knowledge and skill level as you guys
A really good way to get the first point against a turtle-y defense is a reaper zen ult combo. Reaper will just be blasting away at their defenses while zen prevents him from getting melted. But of course a dva matrix can completely screw this over like many other things
BigTasty Completely agree with you. I'd love to upload competitive gameplay to my channel but so many games end with someone leaving, throwing, or being toxic. Its like being matched with good serious teammates seems almost impossible for some reason in this season.
One great point about this map is that the B point also favors aggresive mobility heroes on defense because not only will you get very quickly back on the point, but you are also able to continue after that by diving back on the balcony or other backline quickly and disrupt that constant damage. The map design is really great!
Bastion Reinhardt Orisa Zarya Ana Mercy Unbeatable team comp for attacking point B. I did this and our bastion was unkillable. When we used Ana on bastion, orisa, rein ults with damage boost from mercy on bastion, he wiped the enemy team in about 5 seconds EDIT: just typo fix

Just want to bring up an Idea about Map Selection for Competitive, maybe you pick a pool of 3-5 Maps to prevent insane Queue times or Onetricks on certain Maps, and maybe give an Overview for what Maps are being Queued how much at the Moment. (For Late Night Games that would come in handy.) Maybe you could cover that up on a Video if you like the Idea, to bring some Attention to it. :) Keep up the good work guys!
Please also notice the entire flank route that goes behind point B near enemy's spawn. It's to the very left. It's an easy way to get the upper hand and the element of surprise in a team fight. No one ever uses it in gold or plat
What we had was like, a dva, Sombra, Zaria, reaper, and I think a genji or something that combos with Zaria with a lucio and me on Mercy. We all camped the room right of point with the big health pack and took damage. I barely healed my team first push so Sombra built emp.once she had it we engaged with emp and then wiped. We won first point with only EMP second point we weren't as coordinated but we still won the game
What do you think about taking space to the left of point B on attack? It doesn't have high ground advantage, but there's good cover, 2 health packs for a Sombra to hack, and it has sight lines on practically the entire point. It seems like a good place to set up shop, charge an EMP and push on a "protect the Widow" sort of approach once Sombra destroys any barriers in the way. Dive could totally wreck it, but it seems viable if the enemy is going for hardcore deathball on the high ground--it's easier to push into the room on the left than to try and dislodge the defenders, and you can see the entire balcony from that position
Cap point B - balcony as defender, i dont know how many quad or quintuples i have gotten with Hanzo. Sonic arrow at the underpass, shooting it upwards into the roof/floor of balcony further back so you see whole platform before balcony. Move back behind the truck, aim in middle between both lower floor (hit head) and upper floor (hit feets). I try to stand almost mid cap point and aim the short pillar that is before balcony or stand behind the truck if its a quick sloppy one to stop a bumrush. Happy hunting! If you have a Zarya then tell her to ult so it sticks to the balcony floor from underneath, way easier. Scatter into the roof works too very well here as long as you dont shoot them out to the big room they come from. If they come in, dont shoot the floor infront of them. Shoot wall left wall instead. Aim just tiny above where the wall meets the floor and it will scatter in aprox 45-60 degress (wall - down in the floor - arrow scatters upwards). Roadhog only takes one extra arrow afterwards.
I found the best offence to attack this point is sombra, if you hack and TP on your mega backing out to get health and ult charge you can get your back and have a couple 200hp enemies down
the clip at 2:32 shows the enemy making some serious mistakes. Genji goes top mid and ults, which Soldier backs away from, then Genji is trying to make it to the ulting Zen on the attacker's right side, who probably ulted to save himself, then while the Zen ult and Genji ult have been used and they are both disengaging the Winston dives in top mid?
I just played my first ranked game yesterday, and It was actually the first time I’ve ever attacked on horizon... I bet you can kinda guess how that went...
In my high gold-low plat level, grouping up and walking on the point will work because no one knows how to defend on this map just as well as attacking
Why should a 2cp map be favourable for the offensive team ??? The whole point of 2cp is for the attacking team having to overcome the defending advantage. The ultimate 2CP map would be one with a 50/50 winrate.

The attackers allready know exactly where the defenders will be comming from, namely two chokes. I don't think it is neccesary for the attackers to have the high ground at B, but it's not gamebreaking either.
Jordan C. Wilde I sort of agree. On one hand, the whole point of 2cp is to go from easy to hard for the attacking team. On the other, however, the respawn rate does make it unreasonable for the attacking team to hold a point while fighting a team multiple times.
Have to admit horizon is easily my least favourite capture point map. And capture point maps are by far my favourite. The attackers having an advantage over defense might be one of the main reasons I dislike it so much. It's far too open with too many flank routes and almost doesn't feel like a map designed inside of a building at all. I like choke points and tough areas to push through, because it creates a genuine challenge and requires better team play. I feel like horizon is rewarding to bad players.
I'm high gold (2389) and easily Horizon Lunar Colony is one of the easiest maps to play on imo. On defence, use Torbisa and on attack, a good reaper will do massive damage. I'd say I have around 75% win rate in Horizon.
We need a "How to defend Horizon points A & B", literally had a couple of games recently where we played for 6 rounds because both teams kept taking both points with like 5 minutes left, I feel like the map is made very poorly for defense and offense can easily take both points. There isn't much good high ground to cover both the points, and especially on B the offense gets a tremendous high ground advantage over the defense, while the defense has barely any cover.
If their is a rein, bastion will shred he's shield and the whole push becomes useless because bastion will kill the rest of the tanks and your team should be able to kill the rest.
I like how he says that this is the best 2cp map when the second point is almost the same as hanimura's second, which is usually regarded as one of the worst 2cp maps, although I do agree with it, I just find it odd
I've held some pretty bullshit matches on Horizon point B. We've had a 5 man wipe and still didn't lose. I've won more times and I've lost defending point B
Best 2CP map? It's the worst. They should make them more like Temple of Anubis. It's equally hard and easy sometimes. It's balanced I can win and lose often in that map

In those situations, go for the zippy, hard-to-hit DPS characters, like Tracer or Genji. Reaper will struggle to hit them. Though if Reaper chooses to go after your tanks instead, you will have to make sure to divert him because otherwise he's basically getting free health off of them. Genji is particularly good for that because of Deflect: if you're good enough at it and your team stays together, the enemy team will HAVE to kill you before Reaper can even attempt to melt your tanks.
I just hate this map coz take a lot of time. I often get games that last more rounds than usual. Three and sometime for attack on map. And when u lose after or draw u just go nuts!
This map can be tough for many people, hopefully this helped!

One problem with a rien is a bastion can shred the shield in seconds

It's a nightmare to defend rather than attack if I'm honest. Too much over committing by noobs that don't even come on comms.

I've found this the easiest map to take both points.
Taking that first point is the easiest point to take ever.
Horizon is the only 2cp map where Sombra isn't basically a guaranteed win for me
