I owned a 2003 HD for a short period of time. Took it to a HD dealership to get an oil change and they wanted $350. They asked how many miles did it have. Bought it used and it had 10,000 miles so they wanted to complete the 10k check up for $500. What do I get for the $500, they answered that the oil and filter would get changed and all bolts would get retorqued. I traded the HD for a Yamaha FZ 1 a week later.
Did you get an Owners manual with the FZ1 ?
Does the Owners manual show a 5000mi, 10,000mi, 15,000mi, 20,000 mile service schedule?
Andy, I don’t remember as it was over 10 yrs ago.
Good choice
Real men change their own oil, crack a beer afterwards and say to themselves “saved myself $300 today! Pansies go to the dealer.
Beri232. Are you assuming that I didn’t change the oil after going to the dealership or you just a troll?
I kinda think H-D is getting ridiculous with their pricing. Just my opinion.
HD has been ridiculous with pricing for quite a while. Luckily, it isn’t an issue for me since I wouldn’t be caught dead riding that junk.
Right? I remember when everyone could get a harley
"Kinda?" They've been ridiculous with their pricing, they've been ridiculous with their lacking overall R&D, they've been ridiculous with their quality and warranty issues...
Welcome to the NWO
Everything is going up in price. A bagger from Indian, BMW and Honda all cost basically the same
Great review Motorman. I really liked your comments on the pricing. I can’t afford one but I am not going to whine about it. I will just continue to enjoy my 21 year old Fatboy and recognize that I am blessed to own it. Thanks again for the review.
Wow, very nice bike and thanks to you Jerry this was the closest experience I will ever have of riding one.
Thank you to the Newport Richie dealership for letting you do the test drive on this CVO. This new CVO has a lot of upgrades that honestly are long over due on the entire Harley line. I like it, just way out of my my price range!
Agreed. And that is the first TRULY modern dash/fascia I've seen on a Harley, and it looks fantastic. Nice work!
Test ride not test drive..just saying 🤓
Well said Jerry, this CVO's are for a small audience just like Porsche, Ferrari, Lambos etc. Plenty of other affordable Harleys Indians Hondas and BMWs
Exactly. People get mad about the price because they want one, but can't or won't spend the money for one. I don't get the anger. I love Ferraris but can't afford one, or even the service bills but I don't get angry at their prices. There's plenty of cheaper cars I can buy.
Your take on the new CVO is the one I was waiting for! I am glad you got to test ride one! Thank you Motorman! 🙂
As nice as this vehicle may be, I've purchased homes for less than that. I'm the wrong person
for this bike.
Totally agree with you the older we get the more sticker shock us seniors shake our heads about !
I LOVE your ending! Is the CVO worth it? I don't think it's worth it, but I'm not the one paying for it. If you like it, and you have the $40K, $50K or whatever is needed to get it - don't let me stop you! And I won't rain on your parade either! That goes against one of my cardinal rules - never sh!t on another man's bike! If he likes it and it makes him happy and it gets him riding then - AWESOME!
Love your channel!
It's insane. You can get a BMW 1600B Midnight edition fully loaded for under 30k. That has way more HP and torque, auto adjustable suspension, heated grips, heated and cooled seat, bigger screen etc. They could have at least put the Revo max motor and electronic suspension for 42k. You can get an Indian. Challenger loaded and stage 2 for less and still have way more HP and torque and more tech.
Of course you can. There's always something cheaper. Honda has a ''motorcycle'' for 1800 bucks. Check the price on a 2 year old CVO. They sell for almost what they cost new. All the other bikes you mentioned, drop like a sack of wet cement and linger in showrooms for years.
You have to give Harley credit. There are bikes out there, like you mentioned, that would run circles around Harley in every measurable metric for half the price but somehow they convinced their buyers they need a Harley for some reason. I've owned pretty much every major brand at one time or another and I would've missed out on some amazing bikes if I had rigid brand loyalty. It won't last forever for them though. Their base is getting older and dying off, they really need to appeal more to newer riders.
@@thomasblake7046 That's exactly what they are doing with the Nightster and the new Sportster S and the Pan America. By the way, the average age of a Street Glide buyer is 35 to 40 years old.
@@thomasblake7046 Bingo you nailed it ! They have been mind controlled to own a over priced motorcycle , sheep on 2 wheels .
@@thomasblake7046 They have an iconic sound and look, fit and finish are very good as well. I own a Vrod which most HD fans hated but is one of the best bikes the company has ever made. I have been waiting on HD before I purchase a bagger because I was hoping they would release something to beata the Challenger, a bike I do like for the most part. I would like to stay with "American" brands but it seems I may end up just getting a BMW K1600B. Coming from a Vrod I need performance and for half the price I would get far more.
As much as I'm a HD man, I'll just have to stick with buying HD bikes that are 10 or over years old. That's a beautiful bike, but priced like that I'd be scared to ride it. And what fun is that. God bless y'all🙏🤠
Thank you for doing a short review on the Street Glide. All the TH-cam "influencers" are all about the Road Glide. I look forward to seeing another review when you get to spend more seat time on one. Love the channel.
Nice bike. I'm sure some dentist or lawyer will like riding around town for a few minutes once a month.
Or, a business owner or a government worker like the FBI or Secret Service who start at over 100K a year.
For all the insane hard work it takes to become a doctor, dentist, successful lawyer, then more power to them. I know a guy who owns a towing company and works 24/7. He has a nice house on 47 acres with a huge garage-barn with six motorcycles and trades one each year for a new one then adds thousands of accessories and engine work. Don't forget the farmers. There are a few that do quite well financially.
@@motorman857 100k a year won't support a family and buy a home and two cars in Florida now! Rent a duplex, drive a five year old soccer-mom SUV and have a company car maybe.... As long as you don't take the Kids to any $75 McDonalds outings!
If you think that's high, check the price on the one with the trunk!
Shit I'm out here having fun on my $6k bike, trying to decide if I should get a $300 helmet or spring for the $700 shoei
Get the shoei modular, luv mine, they're worth it...
Go for a 200 dollar HJC. The safety is the same.
I think the RF 1400 is the best helmet I’ve owned plus it matches the bike. BTW I think the other paint job on the CVO is $6k !
Beautiful and thank you for the review. Thank you for all you post.
You're welcome.
Great review thanks, I'm watching from the UK and considering pressing the button so really helpful, much appreciated
Jerry....another nice video! I LOVE the redesign of the CVO. I don't currently one one....my daily driver is a 2021 RGL. I hope the redesign carries over into the RG, SG, and UL lines. See you at Biketoberfest in October!
I like your take on it, Jerry. Is it expensive? Sure. Is it worth it? Well, that’s up to the buyer. One thing is for sure, it’s a nice looking bike and that CVO is set apart from the rest of the line.
Couldn't agree more. It is the top of the line bike for HD, so naturally it ain't gonna be cheap. People would have complain either way even if it sold for $35K
Beautiful CVO s. both of them! Worth every penny.
Ya as nice as it is, I could buy a really nicely outfitted brand new 4x4 off-road SUV (with a sunroof and other extras) for the kind of money being asked for for the new CVO. Plus I was quoted 10k over MSRP by my local stealership (and they wanted to ram their terrible financing down my throat, 4 squares on a paper and all). So I will probably go BMW, Ducati, Honda, or maybe Indian instead.
And thank America for all the choices we have. However, that may not last much longer I fear.
If it's bang for your buck you want, may I suggest used? I see 4 or 5 year old BMW 1600's going $12-$17k under the price of new on cycletrader.
Actually not a bad price knowing what I paid for my CVO SG in 2016. This new CVO has a lot of upgrades. Very nice!
That means you paid too much in 2016 but your choice.
@@bobberguy1 I paid less than MSRP while most were paying over. I also got a 20% discount on all parts purchased for the bike. I never said what I paid; I simply said the new bike with all the upgrades is not bad compared to what the same bike 8 years ago cost.
My 2022 Road glide special was 33,928 before i added extras. 43k+ is what I’ve seen here in SE VA for the CVO’s. I’ve seen 2 over 50k that had additional options and custom paint.
Then add on another $5000,$10,000 to change exhaust and other bits to suit you and your up $55,000 it’s crazy lovely bike I’m a Harley sportglide rider that’s spent $50,000 on bike and upgrades sense 2021
My dad paid 55k (w/ options) incl. TTL on his 2019 CVO SG (it's mine now since he passed)...so I'm actually shocked that the 23's are roughly the same cost.
Not bad, very nice actually. I wouldn’t buy a first year model of anything, BUT after a few years of “gremlin discovery” and tweaks, might consider this. Now, this tech/options/engine will trickle down into the more affordable models at some point and THAT is the real win. 👍
Big money motorcycle . It is very Cool to see the future of Harley Davidson. Thanks for the review.
Looks like they’ll be allot of re-tooling on the accessories to fit this bike. Think of not only Harley but all the after market companies having to re-tool for this bike. 35 lbs lighter as you mentioned is really a big deal! As for me, my 2018 SGS has over 55,000 miles of smiles and better yet, it’s paid off! Run them till they melt is my motto… That’s how I get return on investment….
May be next purchase in few years loved the style when it was released
The cost of the new CVO is beyond ridiculous !!
Only if they don't sell. But I'll bet they'll sell every one they make and many, over MSRP.
Road one yesterday at the Harley demo in Golden CO. It handles like a pig! For that price tag, that's the best they could do!? 🤣
If you think the CVO handles like a pig, you have no idea how to ride a motorcycle. But don't worry. There are plenty of ''riders'' in the same boat as you. Here's one who actually knows how to ride a heavyweight motorcycle th-cam.com/video/rEUXX3wyj-c/w-d-xo.html and here's some little girls that know how to ride th-cam.com/video/wqDM9v2Warg/w-d-xo.html Eat your heart out. Then learn some technique. Your welcome.
I wish I had the skill level to ride a motorcycle like this one! I’m learning more with each time I ride, with any luck at all it will happen. I watch all of your videos, and many over and over again. They are extremely helpful and informative. It’s my belief you have the best available. One day I believe I can be an excellent rider and enjoy every ride without thinking about every move. Thank you so much for your efforts to help others. Take care and be safe!
Practice is what it takes. Experience is another that you earn. Ride Safe.
I paid 41 for my 2020 street glide cvo and I love it. Being 64 it’s probably my last new bike
I actually like Harleys and own the redesigned Sportster S, but I agree the pricing on some of their bikes is getting ridiculous especially when you factor in the lack of tech like others have said. I don’t have social media channels or sponsorships supplementing what I have to spend on a bike so $20k is pretty much my ceiling by far. I don’t care what bike it is or what it has on it. You have to draw the line somewhere. Love my Sportster S though. 👍🏾
No drawing lines,if u build it someone will buy it. ,If you have to ask the cost u can't afford it.c I agree with you 😅
You have a great bike that many enthusiasts would love to own. Congratulations on your new bike.
@@markmcintosh7095 thanks!
I demoed that bike yesterday in the "Whiskey Neat" color. Gorgeous bike. Loved it. I don't need all the glitz, so I'd never buy this one, but if the new 2024's come out looking like this, only plain, it will be tempting.
Fit and finish looks fantastic! HD paint is premium too. Nice things cost. People will always pay for what it is they really want. Sales dictates pricing. Life is short. Play hard. Nice job Jerry.
You're correct. If they sell out, H.D. priced them right. If they linger in the showrooms, the price will drop.
@@PeterAngles
😂
OK...no ones forcing you to buy one. It is extremely ignorant for you to generalize tho. Ever owned one???@@PeterAngles
I’ll keep my 2022 Limited Roadglide it’s paid for in full! 😊
I love it. Good review. I would rather have gauges, though. But nice bike. I can't afford this one. The SGS was an envelope pusher for me a few years ago. But I do dig this one.
Thanks for the video Jerry!! Does this bike display the engine temp and oil pressure? You mentioned how hot it was there and I would hope Harley finally decided to let us know how hot our bikes get!
A stereo system so obnoxiously loud so everybody within 2 miles can hear you jamming to REO Speedwagon, Journey, Bay City Rollers, and Travis Tritt.
You left out Taylor Swift.
Bike looks great and sounds great! Hope the new engine does well for them! As smooth as a Goldwing?! That’s quite a comparison Jerry! Maybe it is, I’ll have to ask a Goldwing rider that buys one 👍🏼
That's all? The local deal was charging $52k for one, but maybe it has some custom mods like special hand grips or something. CVOs have always been priced way too high. Usually 10-20k over the regular model for a nicer paint job and some pipes and a stage 1 pretty much.
Between inflation and today's prices, I'll be riding my 2007 Road King for a very long time. It's been a great bike, very reliable, but I sure would like some of modern features. Alas, my salary has not grown as much as the prices of many things. Could be worse. I could have NO bike. Then I'd be miserable. Instead, I'm taking her on a 2000+ mile road trip in a few days. 😊
Have a safe trip.
HD has long ago priced me out of buying a new bike. I have no problem with keeping my 09 Street Glide
Nice ride ,they did a great job
The price is obnoxiously high but then again, I’m not filthy rich and have no desire to purchase something so expensive. But there are people that can afford these and will buy them. Joe 6-pack will always bitch about prices they seem exorbitant and out of range. No big deal. Buy what you can afford. Anger over the price of Lamborghini is a waste of energy. The bike looks good and the technology will eventually trickle down into the main Harley lineup.
Nice review!
Beautiful bike, price is right for someone who has money and it will always be be people who don't mind spending to show who is who. The same goes for so many other things.
I agree. I don't know about everything there. For instance, I'm newly retired and actually could afford one, but I'd never spend that on a motorcycle. I'd spend thirty, but not that. I think for people like me, it's not a matter of who is showing "who is who", but it's a matter of finally, after forty seven or eight years of labor, it's time to buy something you weren't able to when you were younger with other obligations - especially with the TIME to enjoy it now. I've seen WAY too many of my contemporaries not even live to sniff social security, and if someone is at the point where they can pull the trigger, go for it.
@@dyates6380amen.
Lil
Yup, lots of peeps can afford this bike😎 Lots of folks with lotsa dough out there.
I like the whiskey neat color, that adds $6k😳
Prices for everything have been and continue to go up. There are a handful of factors influencing these price hikes that make sense while some don't but there is a lot going on behind closed doors that we may not know or understand. Wanting a quality motorcycle is one factor that is going to influence the sale price. Research and development to achieve a high standard of quality and performance is one. Cost of materials and technologies incorporated in the design process are surely going to result in an increase. Let's not forget engineering, testing, and production compliance requirements with environmental and safety standards add to the increase as well. In the end the profit margin is not as generous as the out the door price of the motorcycle may imply. I can't even imagine the maintenance and insurance costs. They are beautifully designed, phenomenal performance, and loaded with technologies that would make any rider happy. Time passes by fast and at times we tend to compare the price of the bike we purchased several years ago. This becomes a difficult figure to forget when we look at the tag of a new top of the line bike and leads to shock. But ten years from not our young ones will be the ones saying "I remember when Dad bought a CVO in 2023 and it was a lot less expensive than it is today" I will not see it, but I am confident my sons will see the $100.000 dollars sticker price on the 2050 Harley Bikes, and people will happily buy them. :-)
Love the leds on the fairing, Audi style
$40k-$45k is too much for 2 wheels. I own a 2019 Road King and I like it. I would like to have a stereo system but what is unusual about H-D is that if you want to upgrade to a Street or Road Glide you give up saddle bag guards and passenger foot boards. You can add them, sure, but if they are touring bikes like the RK and the Ultra, why not put those items on? Small stuff, I know, but that is something I look at. Good review and it is a nice bike like all the CVOs. Too bad they wouldn't let you ride it farther.
I would like to try one, maybe get another HD, but the prices are going through my roof for sure!
Great review! Nice bike, but the CVOs have never really been my style, not to mention the diminishing returns associated w/ the increased cost/performance gained. The market will dictate price, as in all free markets, so “expensive” is simply a matter of affordability and what someone is willing to pay for something. Don’t let money control your decision-making unless it’s an affordability issue…time goes by fast. Anyway, if ya like it and can afford it, get it and rather than complain about the price/money spent…enjoy the ride.
Thank you Jerry for the wonderful comments and observations on the CVO models, I have a 2022 CVO Road Glide and yes it’s expensive but I love mine completely. Wouldn’t take anything for the overall ride / performance. Mine has the 21’’ front wheel and that seems to really make the bike more stable at higher speeds but that just my opinion. I do agree it’s a lot of money but YOLO 😎
Thx for the review Gerry, price will always be talked about and that’s never going to change. I also noticed there isn’t a rear saddle bag guard, if you wanted to practice your slow speed skills and and not worry about dropping the bike.. too bad the dealership didn’t give you more time w the bike to do a deep dive on everything.
The CVO's have always been made in limited numbers so I understand why they didn't want me putting a lot of miles on the bike. Within 100 miles of me, there is not a single metric dealer that will let me ride even a new 1800 dollar Honda.
@@motorman857 I inquired about that and the dealerships said they just couldn't afford the insurance on them. That is one great advantage Harley has over it's competition.
A friend of mine bought a new CVO touring bike 7 years ago for $43k so I guess that same price for a new one today isn’t totally unreasonable.
I’m almost 70 still riding my 79 flh , one rebuild, than a new S&S motor ,runs great for what I ride , HD can kiss mass for 44thousand, that’s why the are in trouble, screwing the customers and they old school dealers .
If people thought they were getting screwed, they won't buy it. But every year they've had a CVO, they sell out. You won't find a 3 year old or any Harley sitting in the showroom gathering dust.
There is nothing anyone can say to justify that much money for a motorcycle. I'd have buyers remorse before I got it home. Beautiful motorcycle, but not $42K beautiful and not Goldwing smooth
I think it is Goldwing smooth and I've owned 3 Goldwings.
I think any new bike is expensive but honestly what isn’t expensive today
Everything is , just go to the grocery store
What matters is how bad you want it
I recently bought a 2023 STD Road Glide I used the money I saved on modifications that I wanted
I find it funny when truck dealerships advertise new trucks for $12K less than sticker to get them out of inventory for next years' models. Think they are losing money. They are just offering at invoice price.
@@mojomanmurph1925
Before Covid you could actually talk down the price of a truck compared to today they expect you to pay sticker price for everything
43k?? Man HD gotta be crazy. Either way it doesn’t take a 121ci motor to enjoy yourself on the freeway.
I bought a 2019 Road Glide CVO and for me yes it was worth every dollar ❤🔥❤🔥💪🏽💪🏽✌🏽
WOW. That's an incredible bike!!!!!!
Always love your honest reviews, Jerry. Thank you for that. So yesterday I went to Henderson Harley outside of Las Vegas to check out a few bikes. They had the 2023 CVO RG in whiskey neat. The price tag on it was $52,K, that's right. $52,000 bucks. I've owned several CVO's, up until last year I used to buy a new one every year. 2023 marked the year I stopped buying a new CVO every year. I'm blessed to be able to afford a CVO, but I just personally can't justify the $52K price tag. Where does it end? I do understand that the value of something is in the eye of the buyer.
I've heard some dealers are selling the grey/silver CVO's under msrp. The Whiskey Neat paint is a 6K option and there aren't many around.
The 2022 CVO Street Glide had am MSRP of 42,000. Considering all of the changes for this bike it could have been a whole lot more.
HD is geared towards the man who has everything.
I own a Harley, so yes I have everything, even a supercar, a used $5000 Hyundai i20.
Paid in full and fitting my transportation needs, it is in my book a "super car". 😂
Three years ago HD was like “we need to save the business”, someone there had the great idea “lets build ridiculous expensive motorcycles!” Everybody else, “lets do that!”….
The CVO'S stole the show at the 120th and I have no doubt they'll sell just fine weather people can afford it or not, my dyna street bob with the 110 tire shredder runs like a beast so I'll stick with that!!!
Wow that's a great looking bagger 😎🏍️✌️. That's the business. I like the pop-out slide draw to put your stuff in, and the big wide screen and new fairing & body styling etc. I personally don't think the price is an issue for the CVO owners, as they have always been aimed at the high-end riders anyway where money is not a problem. So they will still buy them in my view no matter the price. I also think the top of the line Goldwing & BMW tourers are very expensive, but bikers out there still upgrade to those too. If you can afford it, go for it.
If anyone wants that type of bike with the features Indian's latest touring models absolutely give HD a run for it's money.
The CVO will keep it's value. The Indian will drop like a sack of wet cement.
MY 2023 Tri-Glide was $48000 out the door and I still put a few thousand into it.
They are not for everybody, they are for people who could afford it. Yogi Berra could not of said it better. another good video by a rider who knows.
Things can't stay the same forever. it's called progress and progress cost money. I love all the people complaining about the cost.. 😂😂 average street glide is what ? 30 something ? The bells and whistles this thing has makes it worth it.. From the electronics...to the motor.. inverted forks... hill stop... heated this and that... all the road controls etc.. this is a bad ass bike... don't hate just cause you can't afford it
I bypassed Harley this time. Prices are outrageous. I went with Indian. Still expensive but alot cheaper than HD
If I had the money I would buy the 2024 Road Glide CVO. Going to stick with my 2010 RG for now. Beautiful bikes!
GREAT REVIEW, JERRY! I recently purchased an Anniversary CVO Road Glide which I like very much, however I’m a bit confused as to why Harley didn’t include the larger engine (121), the “big screen and the upgraded fairing on the “Anniversary’ model. Just sayin’.
Keeping everything in perspective here.. the top of the line HD, the new CVO, with all the extra goodies, incredible paint, 121" motor, etc... is not out of line. Ford, and GMC, and maybe Ram too, have pickup trucks with window stickers over $100k. Same thing really... Top of the line mc or pickup.. is big bucks. I don't have to buy it though... I don't need or want it really.
Beautiful bike.
Nice bike I do like the styling of it, and I've test ridden the 60k CVO too. Is it 60k nice? Not for my money it ain't. I have never paid 40k for a bike and I won't and I actually could afford it and no wife to get mad at me either LOL! The other thing is that it has a bunch of "new to market" items on the bike. As a personal rule of thumb, I avoid vehicles with "new to market" tech at least for the first year. I learned that lesson years ago with a then brand new Chevy pickup I bought and it gave me a harsh reminder.
I believe those bag liners or travel bags are standard on CVO. As well as some other things.
That’s a nice looking bike for sure.
CANNOT WAIT TO HEAR WHAT YOU WILL BE SAYING IN OCTOBER… #SUBSCRIBED
I need that bike!
I do love Harley Davidson… but it’s just so expensive…. I rode a 2008 goldwing 2 days ago… omg…. I want one of them for long tours..
And kudos on you, Jerry for wearing a full face helmet!
Short wind screen! He understands safety over styl’n!
Is the windshield adjustable? Can you add more lights front and rear? I love the phone drawer beneath the screen. I also love the screen - lots in information on that baby. I hope the new Ultra Limited gets this updated fairing. What is that handle looking thing to the left of the windshield from the driver’s perspective?
It's the passenger ejection seat.
Dealer by me in NJ wants 46,609 + tax . I sat on the bike , things I would never change would be the handlebars they are perfect I think they are 12" .The handgrips grips( very comfortable ) the floor boards & foot pegs.. and its the silver color which I do not like... If you noticed a lot of the TH-camrs are buying them they have the money from their videos.
They are worth it!
the prices on hd has gotten insane. but the real issue for me is that there isnt anything "cool" about their bikes to me anymore. my vtx1800 is more than enough bike to get my wife n me around. if i get an hd itll be something just for me and will definitely be an older evo model, which is what i grew up drooling over.
I dont own a Harley, but if ever, would would be more on the Classic side, as long as it didn't leak oil - That console leaves little room for personalization -
Okay now how to finance a bike that costs over $40,000.00 - To have $1.00 dollar in your pocket you have to gross or earn at least $1.40? So if you paid for the bike outright it would actually be $56,000. When talking about a loan, now you are looking at over $70,000.00+ ?
the money isn't the issue, the engineering is! lol.
One heck of a nice bike, and yes the price tag is high, but as a wise man once said, "Cheap work ain't good and good work ain't cheap." I wish they'd make one minus the radio, so looks like either a Road King Special add a windscreen, nicer 2 up seat and tour pack or Road King FLHP 2 up seat and tour pack add. Just out of curiosity, did you ever ride a Police Road King during your service or otherwise Jerry?
Hey Motorman, thank you for the review. I will use the under-the-screen drawer to keep the divorce and mortgage papers 😉
Good idea.🤣
I love the looks of that 2023 HD CVO you are test-riding but I would have to find a better-paying job before I could add that to my garage.
Nice demo ride. Wonder if ‘24 will be any different
If it had their new 135” I’d likely upgrade but buying a new CVO knowing it doesn’t have the top dog engine in it is a bit of a let-down.
The first thing I noticed is HD did not invite Jerry to the 120th to ride the new CVO. Because Jerry is the only TH-camr that tells it like it is.
LMFAO. The new CVO sounds like my moped.
Actually, I couldn't make this intro. And H.D.'s people let you say whatever you want about their bikes. They never censor you. If they did, I would never go on one of their intros.
Now days I guess the price is right
CVO bikes have always been pricy
I think that the people looking at this vid may seem like they’re complaining but perhaps they’re not. Just maybe they want more of a bang for their buck. That’s all. The 2023 CVO is a beautiful bike. However, it lacks the vast majority of features that other lower cost motorcycles come with….i.e. e-suspension/shocks, e-windshield, plush seats (1or2up), driving modes (rain, standard, sport), as well as others. I have a 18 HD RGS and a 23 Indian Pursuit Premium Package that I just purchased 1 month ago. Of course, I would have purchased this year’s CVO but decided to go with the Pursuit instead because it comes with way more options included vs the CVO. Again, I don’t think that riders can’t afford to buy the bike. It’s just that they’re being smart by not getting caught up in the HD hype as I’ve personal done once or twice. Why should one purchase the CVO when it lack the most “essential” and “common sense” features out the box in which I have listed a few above? For me, that cost them a sale. That was the deal breaker. What the CVO lacked out the box is what enticed me to purchase the 2023 Indian Pursuit PP as my second bike. :)
my local dealer in MA told me they are starting at 60k after markup.
I paid over 41K for my 19 CVO so 4 years later with a complete makeover to pay 43K doesn’t seem too bad however dealers are marking these up 6-8K from what I’ve been hearing so I don’t need one that bad.
It all depends on the dealer. If they mark them up and they don't sell, then the mark up will disappear.
Congratulations on being a baller and a half big dog! Man I wish I had your cheddar! Ride safe ✌️
No mods needed. Pipes not too loud. Love huge brake lights. Lighter bikes help handling, braking, and acceleration. 121 water/air/oil cooled
I heard less heat with liquid cooled
I love my Harley’s but this new style is not my cup of tea. I’ve got a nine year old ultra limited and I honestly like the thump of the twin cam better than the M8.
I love my M8 but like the Twin Cams too. Really enjoy the old sportster engine mechanical sound as well.
