Coincidently Jamie, recently I only put the feeder out whilst I let my baited pole line settle, mainly due to the fact that I dont have great success with the feeder. A few week ago I forgot my feeder box and all I had in my seat box was an old flat bed method feeder, this topped with my pole line groundbait proved to be a turning point for me as I didnt get chance to fish with the pole due to the success of the feeder. And it just wasnt a fluke . All my fancy hybrid feeders etc are now redundant! Love the videos
I use groundbait with dry 2mm in . groundbait drawers the fish in and 2mms keep them grubbing around.. special g green with dynamite baits F1 dark mix . with 2mm scopex pellets.. the groundbait colours look camoflague on the bottom especially close to lily's or reed beds
Couldn’t have put it better myself👍 I too am a tackle tart with all Matrix, i have all the Ethos rod range as i fish different venues, excellent rods 👍
@@mickrussell934 cheers bud. Definitely great gear. I went for the old MTX3 when choosing my pole and for less than £1,000 it’s a brilliant pole. I may upgrade to the MTX4 next year but want to try it out first
thinking of buying myself the Matrix xrc feeder rod in in 10ft and 9ft is this Rod ideal for using on commercials catching carp between from 3lb up to 8lb?

Presented well and kept me engaged. I’m a Matrix tackle tart and absolutely love the brand. I’ve got the Ethos range and it’s brilliant.

@@ifiwas195 I have the MTX1 now as I found the 16m a bit heavy and if i’m fishing that far i’ll chuck a wag, bomb or feeder 👍
@@mickrussell934 the 3 is good but a little heavy at 16m. I don’t need to use it much at that distance though 👍🏻
Hi Jamie can you do a explanation on reel size it’s confusing, heard so many different theories

get 3m (10ft) , i got 18lb carp on that rod, it have enough power to pull 8lb carp even when you use line clips.
@rnik8156 also I've been looking at the Matrix Ethos XRC Bomb Fishing Rods👍🎣
Can you give me more details on the reel please
My gear is matrix top notch
2mm pellets 2 mins, 3mm for 3 mins and so on.
