last three pole sessions I have used bread punch over hemp targeting silvers and caught well would leaving the bread completely out the feeder work or not
Was out today Feb 1st commercial couldn't get a bite on pellets ,,switched to half worm and had 20 skimmers and roach ,,back to pellets last half hour not a bite ,,I am sure if I hadn't any worms I would have had very little 😢
I have tried Band’ums on a few waters and failed to get a single bite. Ever. Final try was lasr weekend on a commercial water. Caught a dozen nice fish up to 9lb on Mainline Match wafter, a couple on pellets. Every time I switched to Band’um (same size, colour, rig etc as the Mainline) the bites just ceased completely. So I am done with them.
hi, Jamie if you need to be patient in cold, clear water. rather than casting 4 times in 15mins why not put a slightly bigger feeder on and leave it longer, doesn't that stop spooking the fish?in clear water
I know im not Jamie but he's using small feeders so it doesn't make too much of a splash. 3rd cast he caught a fish 4th cast he caught a fish, if he had of started on a bigger feeder more bait he could of spooked them by the splash and to much bait in one hit can kill the swim / area that hes casting too. He's basically being active on the feeder moving areas when needed. In a match situation crashing in a big feeder the fish will just move out of your swim and you will never get them back. Hope this helps
Bare in mind fish are not active in cold waters and certainly dont feed as much , personally i use a small preston method feeder with a 15inch hooklenth and 3 6mm bread discs , depending on the venue it works great
@@QueensDiscoPants preston also makes mini method feeders, they're even smaller and i've caught loads by creating competition when there's loads of fish in your peg
Thanks very much Jamie for sharing your knowledge on how to fish on a winters day 😊
Another well presented and informative video. Well done guys.
Thank you brilliant video I will try it on my own fishing absolute legend you are.mate

Would you use liquid flavour, a little squirt on top of your pellets?
Hi Jamie what size hook would you use for the Micro wafters please ?
I use 12-14 size hooks depending on the venue with a small band
Great tips J. Were you using a hair stop for the punched bread?

Do they not work in the summer? I swear by those baits in the summer 6-8mm sinker wafter yellow 😊
14.5 rebellions for that rig

That would also entail putting a greater volume of bait into your peg, which may spook the fish for the entire session.
