    Thanks for the video. I saw a table where it says keeping battery at 40% charge (which you've mentioned) AND at 0 degrees Celcius (which is probably a bit too low) reduces battery life to only 98% after 1 year. Any other combination of higher temp and charge greatly reduces battery life (up to 60% after 3 months only with 60 degrees and 100% charge). My question is: do you think keeping battery in a fridge (not freezer) is advisable? It should be as we have around +5-8 degrees in standard fridge.

    great videos. All of them extremely informational, straight to the point and easy to understand. keep it up. Is there a way to charge a phantom 3 battery on a 4 button charger? I have been flying with the normal LIPO batteries and have gotten use to using it. With being able to discharge, store and balance charge. Any info or thoughts would be great.

    Thanks for the video. One quick question if you don't mind... I have 2 batteries, so if I have a battery in and change the discharge time down to 3 days or whatever, how do I know it's confirmed? Is there an OK button in the app letting me know the info was sent to the battery? One of my batteries looks like it's draining properly but the other is fully charged after a week. Do you put each battery in and set the setting? And again, how do you know it's been applied? Thank you in advance!

    one common question. can i use the battery upto 0% while i fly? As we are to maintain 20% threshold for battery safety, I want to know when it says 0% in the DJIGO app is it really 0% battery capacity, or DJI have set actual 20% to appear 0% in the DJIGO app for the safety user ease? when i use to 35% normally i get around 15min flight time but many say we get 20-22min i wonder if they are flying all the battery they got?

    Hi, I would like to ask you for information. I have a phantom 3 adv, with three original batteries. Lately, after setting the automatic discharge after three days, the battery LEDs always show me the maximum charge, without ever decreasing even after several days. What could it be? It is a problem for me, because when I should charge them, after a long inactivity, the battery charger detects them when they really aren't.

  • @AV8R_1
    @AV8R_1 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Tom- Two questions on the time to discharge... Once the self discharge cycle has begun, you say it can take a few days before the batteries are discharged. To what level do the discharge, and is this minimum level adjustable in the settings? And, once the discharge cycle has begun, can you fly with, or begin charging the battery before it has completed its discharge cycle?

    • @labbymaephantom4p139
      @labbymaephantom4p139 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +TomVaillencourt - It will discharge to about 65% and the minimum discharged can't be adjusted. It's just how DJI set up the discharge percentage. It is not advisable to fly on a discharged state, it must be fully charge before use. It will stop the auto-discharge once you turn on the battery or you plugged the charger into it.

    • @AV8R_1
      @AV8R_1 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Slower charging (discharging) is better for any battery.

      Hi Cali, i wouldnt let the battery go down that low, as it will decrease battery life faster.... My advice it to use them to a limit of 25%, then if you not going to use, recharge them to 40%-50% and storage them in a cold( 10-28 Centigrades is ideal temperature) , shadow enviroment, and every 20 charges, discharge them down up to 8% and charge them again .

    Why can't you charge both the rc and the drone?

    The faster charge time of the Pro model is a function of the Pro charger rather than the battery. The Pro charger is 100W while the Advanced is 57W

      John Samtak Jup, that's true. I mentioned that in the unboxing already... Fly safe!

      Tom's Tech Time I don't remember you mentioning that each battery must be inside the aircraft, turned on, and the pilot app open to set the battery discharge days. Also, can I change the Celsius to Fahrenheit on the aircraft battery screen?

      +andrew hoddinott Did you fully discharge them after using them twenty times? How old are the batteries?

      +andrew hoddinott Banggood sell some excellent batteries. I think this link takes you to one for the Phatom 3, but you can find it from their website. www.banggood.com/4500mAh-15_2V-4S-Intelligent-Flight-Battery-For-DJI-Phantom-3-Phantom-3-Standard-p-1027251.html?p=JQ26191551677201504Z

    why cant you charge both batteries (with different chargers) at the same time?

    • @romano5497
      @romano5497 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      If u have the low wattage charger which comes with the advance u should only charge one thing at a time. With the high wattage charger u can charge both

    The Phantom Professional battery only charges quicker because the charger is more powerful (100w vs 60w)
