- Hey guys so this is my attempt at unbricking a dead p4p battery. I would love to get some feedback from you since this did not completely fix the battery. It still will not charge nor start my p4p but any progress to the DIY community is a good thing. Let me know your thoughts and ideas in the comments below and maybe we can finally solve this issue.

U did the right thing so far, the next step is to unlock the Battery. You will need a Texas Instrument programmer ( around 150 EUR ) and the Software
UBRT-2300 (u need to buy the annual license too, around 100€/year ), Then you can clear out the Permanent failer code

Was just about to say the same thing. It's in PF so it's to clear it and reseal.
That sounds like more trouble than its worth. I just did this on a Inspire battery and it works great. I have about a dozen P4 batteries that I would like to do this too but it seems like too much trouble for the payoff.
@@twincityaerial9258 I have been fixing and unbricking batteries for a while now at an approximate 90% success rate. Wanna send them out to me?
@@twincityaerial9258 unfortunately it is, i think it would pay it self off if you have enough p4 batteries, but still they are LiPos and it is not good to “revive” them

The guy you talked about taking his inspire voltage up to 20v is because the inspire has a 6s battery while the phantom has a 4s battery. Phantom battery is approximately 16.8 fully charged. 20v would be too much

I have seen another video on these batteries and there is a reset terminal on that circuit board.
The guy jumped the reset terminal to the negative terminal for a couple of seconds and the lights on the battery work up.
He could then charge it in the regular charger.

@@DavoShed were you able to get the charger to charge the batttery by resetting it as you mentioned? I have 3 batteries that died because I stored them too long.

The case on my non responsive battery is one of the ones that is glued together.
I haven’t managed to get it open yet. I’m tempted to cut a hole in the back to access those contacts.
I’m kind of dammed if I do and dammed if I don’t.
It’s useless if it doesn’t work and useless if I destroy the case.
I’ll post again if I successfully access the terminals and I may even video the process.
Clear the internal codes by using EV2300 TI instrument along with TRB2300 software.
ifyou touch the positive first then the neg in wont spark
The BQ30Z55 Battery Management Chip has to be reset or it will not work!
I have a couple batteries. I’ll send em to you to do this

You need the software to remove the PF
You need to plug it in to a computer and remove error codes. You need a EV2300 and some software
