How to use Follow-Me mode | DJI Phantom, Mavic, Spark

For all of you wondering if you can just take the phone with you: Yes, that is possible (Android only) but a little complicated. What you need is a second phone with GPS. There are GPS routing apps available that you can set up. This way, you take one phone in your pocked, that phone records the GPS and sends it to the second phone. The second phone is connected to the RC and uses the GPS data from the phone in your pocked.

Hello Tom, appreciate your tutorials and great information. My suggestion which hopefully this turn out to be good comments for your viewers and for yourself. First, the sunglasses on your head have to be removed. 2nd, speak at the normal speed. You don’t want your audience to be dazzled on chasing your talk. Pause at the end of your sentences and in this way won’t appear mumbled. Hope this helps.

With the newest update to the DJI app there is now a button that appears on the left side of the screen to access the follow me feature. So, toggle F-mode, hit button on left side of screen under the auto-land & auto-takeoff, agree to terms of follow me stuff, then happy flying!
Thank you good Tom. Can you instruct the drone to follow your phone or must if film the big controller device in your hands. Or is there an optional add on so you don't have to film the actor which such a huge device?
thanx for the tutorial, but what would happen if the copter is following u and u climbed a hill ? will it keep the altitude 10m from u or it will stay in the previous altitude ?

hello, what do you recommend in order to follow a Stand up paddle surfer in the sea... which mode i should choose...free fly , follow me or waypoints mode? the follow me mode is necessary to follow a person that keeps in his hand remote controller, is that right?

hey Tom, can you tell me this. I have to get shots of a bot sailing which i'll be on, can I use follow me manually as I want frontal shots of boat, also does this mean I don't need to worry about return to home as i'll be on the sea? ta
