Holy crap! That's a million for this tutorial, could never have done the updates without this video.
Thanks so much for this, these dropped a bit in price since my dad got this. It was my dad and he passed away just shortly after getting one of these. He was a senior editor for a international broadcast station. I remember he did this before he had to fly it, this video helped a ton. Thanks.
Thorough, very specific, make sure the firmware is not in a seperate folder, if it is, wont't update, this guy is a great help!
Dude! This video was awesome! I'm new to the RC world and decided to purchase a Phantom 3 Pro used from a private seller. He didn't have any instructions with the AV so I did the next best thing. Went to TH-cam. Your instructions were spot on and I was able to get the AV current and ready to fly. Thanks.

Thank you! Very helpful tutorial especially hearing the lights, and seeing the little LED on the drone that I didn't know existed. I did have a little trouble completing the upgrade on the RC but used the direct connect from my iPad to handle that after successfully upgrading the drone.

Wow thanks man you made it very easy to understand. Just received my P3A July 24 and did the update to 1.2.8 and only took 11 mins then checked the results file and said success, awesome only 11 mins wow that was quick. Thanks again.

After four attempts it finally took! I fiddled with the SD card in the reader while it was in the transmitter. Pushed it down slightly hard and the update process finally started. Maybe I have slight hit or miss SD to USB reader or something. Anyways, thanks for the video!

Thanks man! Made the mistake of updating the Controller first and then leaving it connected. Now Ive restarted the Phantom without the controller and am updating correctly.

Are you kidding me....I searched DJI's forums and other videos and couldn't find the problem I was having. But you summed it up in a couple minutes.........Nowhere does it say that I needed to DL the advanced firmware specifically, even their own DL page is very misleading..TY TY TY TY.

Please, I need your help. I bought the Phantom 3 professional one year ago (August 2015).
I just opened today October1st, 2016. ( I am serious).
To update the firmware, Can I download the latest version (Phantom 3 Professional Firmware v1.9.60 or I have to download the first version (Phantom 3 Professional Firmware v1.3.20) and keep updating one by one.

You know the phantom 3 transmitter not have port for HDMI...

purchased phantom 3 advanced yesterday here in the UK, they've come down loads in price because of their 10 year anniversary as well as other (more expensive out of my budget at least) drones being released.anyway to the point,I'll be definitely trying the firmware update on both today and many thanks to you for well explained tutorial,even if can follow it.
