    That's what I loved about the Alphas they were like a bunch of Julius Ceasars. Intelligence used to fuel pure cold and calculating rational strategy. If the best way to stop the enemy was to kill developing clones they would do it with out hesitation. That said while they certainly would've won the war with Alphas running the show, if they weren't kept on a leash they may have actually concluded to disntergrate the republic and create a military dictator in order to win.

      @@fountainchristain Honestly I could see it going Kamakura shogunate real fast where they over throw the old regime install a Shogun and then smaller military overlords for every region or in this case planet responsible for raising and maintaining forces on that world and have a degree of autonomy. Though unlike the samurai I don't think they'll turn on each other which would actually create a strong flexible system of government. It could also go full Roman empire where they got an Imperator military dictator chosen by the military then military governors and powerful generals in full control while allowing the senate to exist to manage affairs they don't find important enough for their attention and to create the illusion of a republic.

    • @pubcle

      @@theempiredidnothingwrong3227 I mean most of the Alpha ARCs endorsed the Galactic Empire, even if disagreeing with some military decisions (such as introduction of human recruits and additional strains of clone) and the more political side of it the vast majority fully endorsed Order 66 and the restructure of the Republic into the Empire. If the Alphas were in charge the Jedi would have been removed from military command immediately, relegated back to minimal influence at best (if not just outright put under the gun) and directed towards commando raids with very few having any sort of influence on governance or military decisions. While some liked their Jedi commanders and most held respect for the abilities of the Jedi as individuals most Alphas judged the Jedi as inefficient, unwilling to make the necessary sacrifices and too incompetent to hold command positions, as well as dangerous to the Republic as a separate entity.

    An interesting video
    Given that everything in Attack of the Clones relating to the clones was very dodgy, this should've been a red flag. A bright red flag. A bright red flag being waved frantically by Padmé whilst she's wearing a light up and musical Christmas jumper with "This is dodgy" spelled out in multicoloured LEDs and being sung constantly by both the jumper and Padmé. Denial of assets is one thing, but blowing up the whole facility? That would be tantamount to an immediate strategic defeat for the Republic, as no cloning facility means no clones reinforcements, so eventually the Republic would run out of clones. What could be so important that immediate, total defeat would be preferable?
    Also, given the amount of crazy crap that surrounded the clones (like the fact their template was working for the CIS, or that it got ordered by a Jedi master who conveniently didn't tell his colleagues and then died, or that they were conveniently ready just in time for the mother of all wars), this should've been rang alarm bells and raised an entire flag shop of red flags.
    In defence of the Jedi, in the heat of battle, it kinda makes sense. Denial of assets. The Clone younglings could be tortured, used for experiments to develop biochem or radiological weapons, or many other hideous tortures, so killing them would've been a mercy. But after the battle, when everyone is sitting down and having a cuppa tea to calm the nerves, their brains should've put it together.

    Can you do a video explaining stormtrooper accuracy? Thanks to the Mandolorian, we have a lot more footage of Stormtroopers in combat to assess their capabilities on top of the movies, Rebels, and other canon sources. Also, from a reddit post: when Ben Kenobi said that line at the sand crawler, he was thinking of the former Clone Troopers who were rebranded as Stormtroopers, who as we all know were amazing soldiers, not the lower quality human recruits the Empire had replaced them with while he was in exile (completely unaware of the change) on Tatooine. Some more data for you to consider.

    And second, I didn't know there was a Third Battle of Kamino. I only knew of the first two because of the OG Battlefront game and because of Season three of the Clone Wars. I now know what I'm going to be looking up on the Wookipedia site later. :)

    Throughout all the Star Wars videos I've seen on TH-cam, there's one topic I've never seen covered by any content creator, and I would love if you could make a video on it.
    *What does it mean to fall to the dark side?*
    In one of your Revan videos, you note that "Revan did not fall to the dark side. He chose the dark side." I've noticed a recurring theme across Star Wars media (notably dramatized in some of the video games like Knights of the Old Republic and Jedi: Fallen Order) where light side force users who end up embracing the dark side seem to undergo dramatic shifts in their personality and outlook, to the point of joining forces with former enemies. It's always been a big elephant in the room for me because the changes go beyond the psychological effects you would expect to see when someone becomes mad with power.
    An example:
    In Episode 3, Anakin has no problem marching to the Jedi Temple and murdering dozens and dozens of children after his fall to the dark side, something he would have considered unthinkable before even if he was frustrated with the Jedi. Even his desire to save Padme would not have made "kill younglings for Palpatine so he'll teach me" an acceptable solution to him prior to his fall. Something about the dark side fundamentally changed who he was as a person.
    I've seen many videos on dark side vs. light side powers and differences between the Jedi and Sith, but this is one area I've never seen explored; getting right to the core of one of the most fundamental differences between the light side and dark side of the force: *Why and how the dark side changes people in ways the light side does not*
    *Why do most dark side users fall to the dark side, rather than choosing the dark side? What makes those individuals who are not corrupted by it, such as Revan and the Nightsisters, different?*
    *What is it about the dark side that inherently tempts force users; why is it a struggle to resist even if you've never used or embraced the dark side before? (like being addicted to a drug you've never used)*
    *How does falling to the dark side change someone to the point of them even turning on former allies or joining forces with former enemies? For someone who is being actively converted or corrupted, such as the Inquisitors, how much of this change results from coercion or brainwashing techniques, and how much of it is due to the nature of the dark side itself?*
    I really appreciate your videos. They're some of the most informative on TH-cam and helped me find out about so much Star Wars media I would have otherwise missed. Thank you for continuing to make such great content.

    • @Steve-em4tb
      @Steve-em4tb 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The dark side itself is not corruptive. It's the power that comes with the dark side that is addictive.
      Because you get so much power from the dark side (Sith alchemy, force powers, etc.) you begin to see yourself as better than everyone else because of your powers.
      We all know where that goes. . .
      But yeah, check out Darth Vectivus.
      Powerful Dark Lord of the Sith who was not corrupted by the power the dark side gave him.

    • @Sekaisien
      @Sekaisien 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Another thing one would note about force users is they're not only attuned to the force, unlike the rest of the galaxy's population, but also *susceptible* to changes in the force, like how Yedi felt the disruption of order 66, or how a Jedi would fall to the dark side of the force. Being attuned to the force accentuates any change a Jedi would feel in any way, especially considering the Republic era Jedi Order would never teach anything about the dark side, often demonizing it and regarding it as forbidden under any and all circumstances.
      It's no wonder Jedi would fall so hard under the effects of the dark side. Consider it similar to an average human being introduced to highly addictive drug, and not knowing anything on the downsides and negative consequences, or anything, really, on the use of said drugs.

    It's dark but it makes sense, not only would they do vivisectionist and torture on the young clones for info, but likely it was also seen as a dark mercy on Jango's part. Even though he was distant too all but one of the clones (Boba Fett), he likely still would know that these clones would be butchered and kill even more in humanely than anything the kaminoans could dream of in their darkest fantasies.
