From that culver to the lower part of your property looks like a ten foot drop you could put in an overshot wheel on. That creek runs enough water to use an overshot wheel on generating 100 amps of 12v to charge batteries real well. That would be day and night to completely fulfill your energy needs. If you did that a steel tube would be safer for your kids but then two dams would be needed one to collect the water right out of the culver to the bottom of your property to run an overhead sluice to fill an overhead overshot wheel. When I saw that high water it would mean you would have to have the generation system up out of the creek for high water most of which would bypass your tube down the creek. The tube would need to be a foot in diameter all the way down the creek through your property having water creek sounds only at high water. At low water that creek might not produce 100 amps at 12v, but more like 50amps. Less power for air con.

He wasn't lying, Kyle, the battery has a date sticker right on top of it, unless he is a sticker switcher. Lead acid batteries hate going totally discharged. It will usually shorten their life quite a bit unless they are designed for that, which mower batteries probably are. I think that is why vehicle alternators are so big, to keep the battery near the top charge, even on a bunch of short trips. I think the alternator is continually switched on and off electronically as you drive along, so as to keep the battery fully charged, except right after the starter started the engine.
I wonder how you would figure out how to orient those magnets. Do they have a north/south, and how do you line them up inside there? Hopefully, I will never need to learn.
Too bad you can't dam up that creek and generate your own electricity. Free electricity, would that be cool, or what. When you have to generate your own, you quickly discover what a bargain it is from the grid. (Don't spread that around.)
My dad blew out a bearing with compressed air at a tire shop he was managing. It exploded and nearly tore his thumb off. So be careful doing that. It could take out an eye too.

It would be cool just to run a hydro electric generator to charge some batteries. I’ve always thought about that!

    Excellent video Kyle.
Question. Do have a link to the fuel lines you buy and use for your tractors. I purchased some fuel line, but the ID and OD are too small. The ID is extra tight on connections and the OD are smaller than the most common hose clamps used on tractors. Thanks.

You’ll need 1/4 inch inside diameter fuel line. Lots of of options on Amazon

What is true with this Pony is DON'T START YOUR MOWER without checking the oil.

You just didn’t see me check it on camera. I checked out the machine when I bought it from the seller. You saw me pull the dip stick after starting it just to show you guys that it had oil. Have a good day Paul Higginbottham Sr.
