@StagArmslower If we had true representation that adhered to the Original Intent of our Constitution it would be. But, because there is no true representation in either house of Congress it no longer seems to be the case. With exceedingly rare exception, they've all sold (including Johnson) and are plundering the American people of what remains of what ever wealth remains.
Voter ID. I'm an American citizen and value my privilege to vote. I had to prove who I am when I registered to vote. I want the power of my vote to count.
Non-citizens CANNOT vote -- Johnson left that basic fact out.
True. But, I do think the irregularities in the last election some county election officials manipulated their ballot count to favor their preferred candidate. I'm not surprised. There's always a margin of error with any ballot count in any election. Remember the Florida hanging chad? Local elections are always questionable, as far as I'm concerned.
@@TVstardom- There was no evidence of "irregularities". You should stick to the facts. If an election I close (marginal), it usually triggers an automatic recount/audit. The ballots STILL EXIST and can be examined. This happened in several states in 2020 -- some controlled by Republican administrations. There were also several investigations, both by the government and private. Again, the facts are against your claim. People like Mike Johnson are well aware of this, too, but still push these lies like "illegals" voting in our elections. It's just not true. The main thing is that (like many of the other claims) it's too easy to catch.

The Constitution states that CITIZENS will be allowed to vote in elections. You don't NEED another law. The Constitution mandates that voters are verified to be citizens of this country!

Johnson had leverage to fix the border when the Demicrats were asking to fund Ukraine.
Johnson did not get anything in return for allowing the Ukraine aid bill to be voted on.
This press conference rings hallow at this moment in time. He has no chance now to fix the open border before the election. His words at this press conference are too late.. Empty. No one of importance is listening.

If the federal government can enforce an 18 year old age limit, than it can also enforce a citizenship requirement, including local and state elections. No excuses.

Mike knows that non-citizens CAN’T vote.
Proof of citizenship is not a burdensome request unless you are trying to cheat, and proof of who you are (driver's license, Work ID) should be a 100% must in every city and state. Anyone who can't meet these simple requirements didn't try hard enough to meet them and should be denied the opportunity to vote.
Why is no one talking about voter I.D. ? All I'm hearing is talk about a law that says don't vote if your not a citizen. Or you get in trouble. After the fact ! It's B.S. too late . After the fact.

Where do you think voter I'd is not upheld? Everywhere I have lived and friends and family live have to prove identity with photo ID to register. And some polls have not asked my ID card but do verify all my info before I vote. And see me drivers license before handing a ballot. Lies are easy ! I just did early voting yesterday and I had to show identification, my drivers license. Before that I was asked my name and address, then identification.
