Hi Drew, love your videos! BTW, you can find a more northern KFC from Yakutsk, for example, in Reykjavik, Iceland, which is 64.1° N. Yakutsk is still far south from the artic circle which is 66.6°N. Yakutsk is actually not that north, its latitude is 62° N similar to Faroe Islands, which has a completely different weather. What makes Yakutsk cold is actually a mix of stuff, firstly Yakutsk is far from any water source (sea, lake) by more than 700 km and ,secondly, it is not surrounded by any mountains. These too facts can make extreme cold weather in the winter and very hot temperatures in the summer.
Thanks for telling this story about the cold cold place in Russia. 11 time zones, diverse population of fine people and somehow the politicians think the country needs to be bigger!? WTF! Viva 🇺🇦
They want it to be bigger because nothing grow for 2/3 of the year and there sea port are frozen in winter.(i don't support poutine but this has historically always been the cause of russian expansionism. )
They don't bring troops into Ukraine because they want their territory to be bigger. Their goal is not to claim the sovereignty of Ukraine but to push back NATO's missiles and military bases getting closer to Moscow.
It's about keeping the terrorist state of America of their door step, why trust them after they lied about Nato expansion and all the missiles they put on his door step and countless innocent people they have killed over 50 years .

After all, you have been to all the countries of the world, so as far as I understand, you never once condemned the Americans for bombing Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, Serbia, and even the birds on the branch know that the Americans have done a hundred times more evil in the world than the Russians have ever attempted.Of course, I do not defend Russia, I wish all the evil in the world to every soldier and murderer, but if you are already defending Ukraine, then defend other countries that have suffered from America. This was my well-intentioned advice. I wish you all the best in life and work.

I’ve watched many videos about Yakutsk from locals who live there documenting their daily life.
Yes !! They are amazing people!

Hello Drew! Amazing video! I’m from the Russian city of Tyumen, that is located in Siberia, but I’ve never been to Yakutsk and it was really cool to see your experience! I’ll definitely visit it some day. And even though it’s war right now happening in the West side of Russia, the eastern cities didn’t really change and there’s still people who live their average life.
We’d be so glad to see you in Russia again, and you definitely should come to Tyumen, it’s really interesting city, we’ll be waiting for you! :)
its war in ukraine, not west russia. and i am half russian myself, so please dont say west of russia
@@stecher1995 so you think that places like rostov are not negatively affected? I doubt that.

@@nodspruductionss3812 Rostov on Don is not really affected more than other areas of Russia. The worst conflicts are now in Kiev, Kharkov, and the closest Russian city would be Belgorod, but still, you would not really feel much of an impact in Belgorod itself.

A great place to visit, definitely an ice wonderland. I'm wishing for a better future between countries in Eastern Europe. Best wishes from Malaysia 🇲🇾
I use to live in Astana (now Nur Sultan) in Kazakhstan, and during the winter we would have -52 every night for months. Years after I left Kazakhstan I was never cold again. Got so adjusted to that temperature that even when there was -8 during the day, I would go out in short sleeves.

Dude, Yakutsk is literally was based on the shore of the Lena River.
I wouldn't bother educating him he ordered a Big Mac at Burger King 👍
This place is cold but beautiful. A friend of mine visited Russia 🇷🇺 and now I wanna go despite the Russo-Ukrainian war rn
NOW I KNOW HOW THE GERMANS(NAPOLEON) WERE DEFEATED IN WW2 IN RUSSIA. I NEVER IMAGIN IT WAS THIS COLD.
Me too
Same ❤
Thanks for telling this story about the cold cold place in Russia.
Because Putin is so greedy. He might be the greediest man on Earth.

Drew you are an amazing person. Loved to see your and Ammar’s friendship. No hatred for muslims. If everyone were like you both, the world would be such a beautiful place. Respect to all of you my friends
I think it'd be really cool if you visited more of these "extreme" places. Consider going to Tristan De Cunha soon, the world's most isolated inhabited island. Love from Phoenix!
Yeees, I was waiting for it since the first news about your trip to this wonderful city!

I love Drew’s videos and I appreciate the time it took you to do these type of videos. My prayers goes to Ukraine
Impressive how radical the seasons are here in this part of Russia , Yakutsk .
That was amazing. Too darn cold for me though. Polar plunge was insane. Sad times for sure but thanks for sharing the experience.😎
Hey, Drew! For your next trip, how about visiting and making a video about any famous ghost towns in the world? Anyway, I really enjoyed and learned a lot from this eye-opening and mind-broadening video! Great job!
I want him to visit somewhere like Kolmanskop in Namibia or somewhere like Bodie or Centralia
Loved it when Ammar said bismillah before entering the frozen pond 😍
Thoughts are with the Ukranian people at this incredibly awful time, also the Russian people who are fighting for freedom of speech to express the truth. Politics is heartbreaking at times.
Ukrainian government is using non-ukrainian including my countrymen as human shield. they have been extremely racist toward them
Amazing people to be able to live a daily life in temperatures of sub -30 degrees... it's CRAZY!! Thanks Drew for sharing this unique adventure... stay safe!
you will have that one friend, who will wear short things and says "Its warm"
Thanks Drew! Awesome long video.
Gorgeous people, although it’s freezing it seams like everyone is extremely warm and welcoming.
I can’t imagine one of these people in this video have a problem with Ukraine.

May there be peace across all the countries. Drew you are an amazing personality. Really Enjoyed the video though. ❤️❤️
As someone who follows your work and considers you a trustworthy person and of course a person who loves the whole world, I think it is really wrong to take sides in any war, including the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Very impressive work , huge fan of your content , very eye opening and inspirational 👏

Hi Drew, just for curiosity sake, did you ever encounter a situation where you are tested positive for covid before boarding to another country. Or things like that are not checked nowadays? Hope to hear your part of story. As i wonder a lot about that, just in case I’m not able to return to my country in case if i were tested positive. Thanks and congrats on reaching to the coldest place in universe!!
Nope! But I did get COVID twice!
It’s really sad how people mix up politics and culture and how most people can’t see the beauty of a country behind all the politics. If only everyone else saw the world the same way you see it.
Breathtaking scenery, I hope to make it someday if things calm down over there. Love the channel man.
